So Brentford are interested in Collins, too error strewm not premier level. Snap their hand off
1.) 14 Jun 2023 13:08:49
Correct
17 Aug 2022 17:17:27
What is the delay with Nunes, getting nervous now .
{Ed002's Note - it takes time to obtain the international clearance.}
1.) 17 Aug 2022 18:28:51
Hopefully, they're doing the media stuff to make a big announcement but keep saying stuff like that Ed002, it helps.?
2.) 17 Aug 2022 20:26:15
Website posted pic of Nunes with 27 on his back then quickly deleted it. Funny how we've had emails with 27% off in clubshop ?
3.) 17 Aug 2022 21:05:03
Thought that too south banker, they did a similar discount when guedes joined I belive.
4.) 17 Aug 2022 21:10:53
Media delay apparantly.
5.) 17 Aug 2022 23:07:46
C'mon Jeff get it over the line and I'll dish up the humble pie (and yes I'm happy to eat the first slice:)!? Does annoy me though, the reporter breaking it on Sky says 'if he takes to English football in the first season then we may well also be talking about him in the next transfer window'! ?
I'm not saying it's never going to happen (only the top four get that luxury) but it would be nice if they let us actually sign him before talking about his next transfer! I bet they said the same when Neves moved, well now he's got the armband! Again he may go (who knows) but he's already settled FAR better then ANY of those same journos said he would when he arrived! COYW ?
6.) 17 Aug 2022 23:59:59
Nunez announced! He’s a wolf!
7.) 18 Aug 2022 01:17:07
Such an odd time to announce but seen him in the shirt and I couldn't be happier! Five year contract with a one year option, that's a statement! There might well be a release fee in there but as long as it huge then still excellent business! Credit where its due Jeff and Scott (and probs a decent helping of Uncle Jorge) you have played a blinder! ??
8.) 18 Aug 2022 11:05:16
Well chuffed! An excellent signing saw it on our site during the night. Probably about the only good thing about being a poor sleeper, last night it was worth it! Now for a striker. Well done recruiting team and the man with the wallet!
9.) 18 Aug 2022 11:15:32
Things look like they're starting to come together now, still about 2 weeks left to try to find the missing pieces of the jigsaw.
14 Mar 2020 19:33:23
So with nothing to report due to suspension of the matches, the sports hacks are reporting that Man utd, Arsenal, spurs etc are looking to buy any and all our players, rubbish journalism.
1.) 14 Mar 2020 21:14:34
Jumped up college boys from London and Manchester with no proper journalist skills whatsoever.
2.) 15 Mar 2020 08:58:36
Totally agree. What I find particularly irritating is that these people seem to be living in the past and still think that the so called big 6 clubs can cherry pick the best players from other clubs. The reports are all written along the lines of whether Arsenal or Spurs or Man U decide to take our players - as if it is their choice - with no understanding or recognition of how the football map has changed. Reality is that we are a big club, a very well run club with rich and ambitious owners and a head coach who is fantastic. We have a great group of players who are improving and the club is on the up. The old order is no more.
{Ed001's Note - the reports are written like that because they are aiming for the most clicks, rather than about being true. You get more clicks by linking a player to Liverpool/Man Utd/Arsenal etc than other teams. So people write about them. It is pure clickbait and if people just stopped clicking on them they would go away.}
3.) 15 Mar 2020 13:52:14
Good point Ed.
{Ed001's Note - drives me mad. The likes of NewsNow have 99% of crap in their links but they refuse to do anything about it as they don't give a toss about the people reading. It is all about getting clicks.}
4.) 15 Mar 2020 14:43:06
ED001 and everyone else here - if you want to see clickbait fodder look no further than the Brum Mail. They use the most misleading headlines, mix and match to stories to concoct the fraudulent headline. Another thing that irks me is when the likes of HITC quote other rubbish sites.
As a side note, I remember the BBC once issued statistics about the gossip stories they publish and the paper with the highest accuracy was the Guardian - that accuracy was 15%.
To quote the great Eamon Dunphy "Football is just soap opera for men"
{Ed001's Note - I try and avoid papers like that and I never look at HITC it is pure dross and badly written dross too.}
5.) 15 Mar 2020 18:32:19
Agreed. Most garbage usually comes from Alex Dicken and Birmingham Live. Utter tripe.
03 Feb 2020 14:31:15
Is Thelwell leaving then?
1.) 03 Feb 2020 16:14:08
Of the the MLS, wonder if he was asked to go,?
2.) 03 Feb 2020 16:27:41
He's confirmed it.
3.) 03 Feb 2020 16:47:34
The haters have got what they wanted now.
4.) 03 Feb 2020 17:35:50
If even the bloody-tea lady left people like SQ would seize on it and say Fosun has lost interest!
5.) 03 Feb 2020 18:17:15
Jez Moxey to return!
6.) 03 Feb 2020 18:54:44
Jas, that reminds me. The Fosun-haters (i. e. Baggie fans) go way back to the beginning on this site. When Moxey resigned after the Fosun takeover, some people said he knew the whole thing would go pear-shaped with Fosun, so he got out.
I'm so enjoying the rise of Wolves.
7.) 03 Feb 2020 19:32:25
Deep Throat, agreed. The reason he got out though was that Fosun knew he was limited in his ability. Jeff Shi has taken on the role Thelwell held but surely we must have someone coming in as I'm sure he took on Dalrymple's role too.
8.) 03 Feb 2020 20:51:54
Getting rid of the deadwood.
9.) 03 Feb 2020 22:25:02
Interestingly if you read Nunos interview after Podence was tied up he suggested we could be in for one more. Well that never happened and I can't help but wonder if inability to get a striker overe then line may have been viewed as a lacking on Thelwells part? Either way personally I've never been massively impressed with him so onwards and upwards I say COYW ;)
10.) 04 Feb 2020 00:05:53
Can't understand why some are knocking Thelwell. Look what he's done for the club. Oversaw the Academy, in the process turning them into Catergory A. Oversaw the signings of Patricio, Moutinho, Jimenez, Podence and Traore so all in all not a bad job. Hopefully whoever takes over can take us to the next level.
11.) 04 Feb 2020 09:26:29
It wouldn't of been thelwell why these players came here it would of been Nuno and uncle george.
12.) 04 Feb 2020 09:52:59
Thelwell has played his role well in taking us up to the level where we are now, i. e. knocking on the door to the top six and progressing in Europe. We've come a long, long way from the Morgan-Moxey days. This is probably the best time to be a Wolves fan since the days of Stan Cullis.
With the talent in the U23 side I can foresee greater things from us. It won't be all about big-name big-money signings, we will keep the strategy we have now. Buy shrewdly, buy young, develop from within.
13.) 04 Feb 2020 09:54:36
Really, so why did Patricio, Jimenez etc not join him at Valencia? I accept that Nuno and Mendes play a big part of incoming players but they also have to want to join a club going places. Thanks to Fosuns vision and Thelwells commitment, our ambition was elevated and made more attractive.
14.) 04 Feb 2020 10:56:05
If wolves want to compete in the champions League, we are going to have to do better than buy shrewd and young players, we would not be able to compete, we are are good side, but we have to be a great side, we do need a couple of great great players to finish teams off.
15.) 04 Feb 2020 11:38:41
To the haters Thelwell was responsible for bringing in Coady, Traore and Dendonker, he was also the one who bought in Jackett which kick started our revolution.
Also he was the one responsible for improving the acadamey, so give it a rest yeah.
Wonder who you'll blame now?
16.) 04 Feb 2020 12:54:07
Take your point Tibbsy but all great players were young and promising players once. We will in my opinion, in due course, compete in the CL with the present strategy. We will not go round like headless chickens (Man U comes to mind) spending pots of money on so-called big names like Pogba.
Man U ended up so desperate for a striker last week that they nearly brought Glenn Murray in from Brighton. Call that strategy? Where has all the squad building gone?
The only other team's strategy I admire is Liverpool's. They have sold some very big names to bank profits to get the squad they have now, which includes home grown players. For this reason Liverpool's net spend is a lot lower than you might think.
17.) 04 Feb 2020 13:04:11
Guys we can debate which signings were his and which weren't but in truth none of us will ever know. All I would say is that if he is that good why are we letting him go? And more to the point why has no one else been in for him up until now? Last question but why is it that only LA are in for him who are a team playing at a lower than Championship level?
18.) 04 Feb 2020 13:53:47
12 years with one Organisation is good achievement in this day and age.
Fosun seems to be a caring employer, but equally constantly looking to raise standards in all Departments.
I am delighted that Thelwell has found a new role and I wish him well.
Onwards and upwards. the Pack continues to strengthen.
19.) 04 Feb 2020 15:16:05
In my opinion, Telwell became the new Moxey. Just a pantomime villain.
20.) 04 Feb 2020 17:58:14
Ironically I actually agree Debs, in so much as in terms of abuse there always seems a need for a pantomime villain at most clubs (sadly) . Wonder if Jeff is feeling nervous with that in mind!
21.) 05 Feb 2020 13:25:54
Sad if Thelwell had become a pantomime villain. With everything we have achieved to get where we are today, surely everyone at Wolves is a hero not a villain?
A more likely pantomime villain is Mike Ashley at Newcastle.
22.) 05 Feb 2020 14:34:50
Just the way of the world Deep, there's always a fall guy or a boogy man that fans blame normally when transfers don't come off. United have Woodward, WHU have Sullivan and I'm sure the list goes on! Like Deba said for years it was Moxey, if it went wrong blame Jez! Sad yes but the nature of the business when you are dealing with a mob mentallity, sadly football usually does! 🙄.
23.) 05 Feb 2020 16:47:41
Sorry to see Thelwell go, perhaps an issue over only being permitted to sign Mendes clients.
24.) 05 Feb 2020 19:41:33
Jonny, Jimenez, Traore, Dendonker, Boly, Vinagre, Loiodice, Jordao and Campana. All signed since Fosun took over, none are clients of Gestifute (Jorge Mendes)
25.) 05 Feb 2020 23:05:01
Fair point Jas although the point is still valid, in so much as I wonder how much say he had in ANY of those signings? I'm not saying he didn't (for all I know they could have been his signings) BUT it certainly would make anyone want a new job if they felt their role had become little more than a glorified account organising money rather than sourcing players. If essentially he was given a list by Mendes and told to work from that then I could understand why that would rankle! I'm sure we'll find out in the years to come but the timing of this (after a window) can't be a coincidence! COYW ðŸ‘.
26.) 05 Feb 2020 23:53:39
Anyone read the article claiming that Thelwell suggested the signings of Dani Olmo and Hwang Hee-Chan only to be over ruled by Nuno who wanted Campana and Podence?
27.) 06 Feb 2020 11:49:06
Jas, I read that as well. Thelwell was apparently overruled by Nuno. If true, this is how it should be. Nuno is the ultimate expert in footballing matters at Wolves.
28.) 06 Feb 2020 11:51:19
I did not and if honest I always take articles claiming to know inner dealings of any club with a serious pinch of salt (depending on the source;) . It was well documented that we were in for Chan but the move broke down on finance, also we have been tracking Campana since the u20's South American cup. Overruled by Nuno is one thing and frankly would also be the signs of a healthy club (the manager lives and dies on signings so they should have a strong say) . Still it would be an entirely different/ more grating scenario to be overruled by someone that's not even working for the club (cough, Uncle Jorge, cough) ;)
07 Aug 2018 19:54:21
Any one know what the hold up is with Troare being announced.
1.) 07 Aug 2018 20:03:39
I am thinking the same thing. Knowing our luck he has failed the medical.
2.) 07 Aug 2018 20:14:24
He’s been pictured at the Mount hotel in wolves so he’s probably completed the medical and will be announced tomorrow, will follow a big day or two for the club imo, I’m not in the know, but can just see it happening.
3.) 07 Aug 2018 20:11:46
It's a record fee so their obviously waitin to give it the biggest exposure possible, until we break this transfer record again in the next 48 hours 🤞.
4.) 07 Aug 2018 20:27:22
I just think it's a bit strange that it is taking so long.
5.) 07 Aug 2018 20:29:30
He trying decide if spires or Nash get announced that he joined and if wants race a cheetah in his intro video.
6.) 07 Aug 2018 20:41:17
If he failed or it was off we would of known by now the only reasons I can think is either they could announce another signing tomorrow to excite the fans even more or maybe just announce that a player is having a medical alongside the traore signing or we won't be signing anyone else after traore so want to leave it a bit longer.
7.) 07 Aug 2018 21:12:38
Wolves are about to announce an 18million pound signing!
Just let that sink in for a moment! Just hope he improves with us because he needs to!
8.) 07 Aug 2018 21:13:29
Nash tweeted Adams signed.
9.) 07 Aug 2018 21:25:43
Signed 5year contract according to Tim nash.
10.) 07 Aug 2018 21:26:31
Adama Traore. Signed. Sealed. A Wolves player. Tim spiers just.
11.) 07 Aug 2018 21:38:18
Tim Nash saying that traore will be announced tomorrow.
12.) 08 Aug 2018 15:50:30
Is the marquee signing Leon Clarke?
13.) 08 Aug 2018 15:51:24
Danny Batth will stay and fight for place - a bad start would let him in.

SEASON OVER GOODBYE, Cunha, Sarabia, Silva, Dawson Kaladzic, Doyle, King, Bentley, Johnstone, Forbes, Semado, RAN, Guedes, Hwang, Djiga and probably S.Bueno should provide some money for upgrades.
1.) 26 May 2025 12:32:48
That is a lot of players Hednesford. Just seen Man City apparently after RAN at £60m and Semedo linked to Man U. Hope we can get some deals done early and hope they are good uns ??
2.) 26 May 2025 12:53:37
Sensors he won't get rid of Djiga he's only just joined in Jan.
3.) 26 May 2025 15:36:56
That is not going to happen. This is not some game where you can make an offer and the other team has to accept it or you can force some player to leage because you don't want him.
4.) 26 May 2025 16:27:46
Hendsford you missed out Hoever, got to on the cards. Mass clear out and rebuild and tbh I'm up for it provided it's not just asset stripping. The money needs to be re-invested or the club will be bled dry.
5.) 26 May 2025 16:45:24
Chiquinho too. Djiga won't be going or S Bueno. The others yes absolutely.
6.) 26 May 2025 20:33:17
Before Sunday Vitor said he wanted the season to end on a high note. So why play Guedes? Strolled around with not the slightest interest, just a waste of space. Why not give Doyle or Mane a go, at least they are not there to make the numbers up. Doyle has had a few deal from Vitor, he has always favoured Guedes or Sarabia, who have not the slightest price in our club. I hope wherever Doyle goes he is a big success, at least he will always give the effort.
7.) 26 May 2025 20:59:15
Doyle was not in the squad to play as he was injured
03 May 2025 10:35:50
Missed Strand Larsen which males Munetsi a luzery, when thete are more dangerous options on the bench, He is not likely to score win 50/50 tackles defend or set up goals altogether not up to Premier standard
1.) 03 May 2025 16:32:42
To be fair, if Bellegarde would have played a decent pass to him, we would have been 1 nil up.
2.) 04 May 2025 18:07:11
To be honest I'm not convinced by Munetsi, played ok with Larsen but not really sure what his strong points are, apart from getting through a lot of hard work. Apart from that he is not what you would call skilful.
3.) 06 May 2025 08:14:03
Totally agree Ray389. Maybe better as a defensive midfielder.
01 Mar 2025 19:28:50
Having been suporting Wolves since the late 1950s I have seen many ups and downs but today reached a new low with the behaviour of Mateus Cunha. I have no doubts about his skills and abilities but he now rates as the most vile and indisciplined person to represent the club. I never want to see him in a Wplves team again. Cash in at the first opportunity. I cannot see the likes of any respectable British team wanting such a person in their squad.
1.) 01 Mar 2025 22:42:30
I wholeheartedly agree, for all his obvious skills, his discipline gets the better of him.
2.) 01 Mar 2025 23:10:18
Have to agree with you Hednesford - been supporting Wolves since 1950 and we have seen the good, bad and ugly but today put us to shame - The club captain scoring a great goal and then, — I have no words to express my feelings.
Whatever happens to Cunha will only strengthen our resolve and with the manager that we have now I am certain we will stay in the Premier.
As for Mr Cunha I believe we should heavily fine him for his previous behaviour and what has happened today for tarnishing the name and the colours of our great club - I suggest somewhere in the region £ 6, 000, 000, to be paid directly to the club when he is booted out (transferred) before another club takes responsibility for his actions.
3.) 02 Mar 2025 10:08:49
Every player has a snapping point, Kerkez was at and a few other players. Were taking lumps out of Cigna all game, there were many little niggles also during the game, not defending his actions, but as someone who’s played at a decent level, I’d have done the same, just the headbutt would have been a proper one, the blatant winding up and cheating is ruining the game, diving around, cheap tackles, and yes we have one or 2 that do it, it drives me mad watching it.
Bournemouth are a very dirty team, and we played into their hands
4.) 02 Mar 2025 11:21:51
Totally agree
5.) 02 Mar 2025 11:32:29
Whilst I agree that cunha was being targeted and not in the game as he'd like to be, the game is the game it is. He can't afford to have a issy fit and finally respond the way he did. No, it was more gesture than action too and kerkek tried to make into a visual assault, but Cunha had to go.
He should have known he was letting everyone down and we, (evidently now), can't afford to have someone behaving like that.
I like the guy, he's a great ambassador with little Junior, he gave him his J after his wonderful goal, but I can't help but think a little of cunhas shine as gone for him too.
I imagine that an apology of sorts will be forthcoming.
6.) 02 Mar 2025 13:39:32
I hear what your saying Abbey, I know from
Playing that some days you just lose it, I’ve been on the end of abuse, and it’s hard. Yes he gets paid well, but he’s only human. I’m not gona blame the loss on him. The te had chances to be better in the game, defending and attacking
7.) 02 Mar 2025 14:44:08
It was a very foolish reaction and a ridiculous sending off with just mins on the clock. However I do think this is all abit over the top gents. Most vile person to represent our club are you actually serious?! I liked Kevin Muscat but the man was a leg breaking thug with a football kit on! ? And then talk of a £6m fine c'mon let's be realistic please?! Cantona didn't even get that for kicking a fan!
Look I'm not defending the behaviour guys but come on, he just lost his head it happens! I would also just remind people that whatever we might think of his discipline if we didn't have Cunha this season we'd already be as good as relegated! Let's just hope the ban isn't too long and that Larsen can start scoring again ??
19 Dec 2024 12:13:50
When are Wolves going to reveal the new manager
1.) 19 Dec 2024 12:55:09
I was wondering exactly the same thing Hednesford, probably when Wolves TV has got the accompanying interview video ready to publish.
2.) 19 Dec 2024 14:32:56
Maybe the social media team got sacked too as nothing has been heard from them since 15th December.
3.) 19 Dec 2024 14:34:49
They just have
4.) 19 Dec 2024 14:38:26
Just been announced wolves website
5.) 19 Dec 2024 14:45:58
Now confirmed, took first training session today
6.) 19 Dec 2024 15:15:42
Let's hope we kick on now. I know I'm moaning, just wished Wolves had acted earlier.
7.) 19 Dec 2024 15:42:30
He might persuade Neves back
???
8.) 19 Dec 2024 16:43:41
That would be good neves to come back
9.) 19 Dec 2024 16:44:54
Welcome vitor good luck get us out of this mess please let’s get behind him COYW
10.) 19 Dec 2024 18:08:38
I know its stating the obvious, but needs to make us difficult to beat, and maintain the threat going forward, think we should use larsons strengths more, whilst cunha suspended which is inevitable. Here's to an upturn in form. Wishing you all a good Christmas and much improved new year
11.) 19 Dec 2024 18:28:40
Going for a win for us Sunday 2-1 Merson says we will lose let’s prove him wrong
12.) 19 Dec 2024 22:40:14
Some interesting names being mentioned in despatches already
Almiron
Danso
Godfrey
Elvedi
13.) 19 Dec 2024 22:42:26
Add Tierney to that list
14.) 19 Dec 2024 22:51:42
I think the Danso and Elvedi may be recycled stories from the last transfer window.
15.) 20 Dec 2024 07:23:43
Tierney would be good from our point of view greyleg but he seems very keen to rejoin celtic.
30 Aug 2024 19:33:10
Plenty of speculation amd rumours about comings and goings today but is there any confimatiins apart from Sam Johnstones arrival.
1.) 30 Aug 2024 19:59:53
Carlos Forbes has signed, Andre is pretty much a done deal Hednesford
2.) 31 Aug 2024 01:31:14
Andre is on their website as a Wolves player.
Hednesford Wolf's rumour replies
28 Dec 2023 18:05:58
Last chance saloon Fabio hope he comes back full of confidence and a success if he cannot score in Glasgow he never will
04 Jul 2023 17:20:25
I have to question where our on field leadership is coming from having sold or allowed to leave Neves, Coady, Moutinho, and probably Kilman, who have all captained the team in the past,
22 Apr 2023 12:25:13
Can't see fire sales at either Leicester or Southampton based on Burnleys example but agree we should cash in on some of ours if suitable replacements can be found especially as Troare, Moutinho and Costa will go for nothing
25 Nov 2022 18:40:43
I Understand that we can only register a maximum of 17 overseas players, which we have done already, so gaps need to be created 1 of which is Bonatini but who else is going to be sacrificed?
21 Jan 2022 18:10:38
Sorry to see him leave for a rival but he is not good enough, we have better footballers in the club in his position, but he was exciting to watch but provided little in the end. Surprised he didn't hold out for Barca.
Hednesford Wolf's banter replies
06 May 2024 13:28:32
Agree 100% but I don't think he will still be there by end of next season, because West Ham are a hire and fire club and he is a proven quitter if he does not get his own way
31 Aug 2023 13:33:22
Good shout forgot about him
28 May 2023 11:03:46
Oh forgot Raul
26 Apr 2023 09:29:16
Neves was stupid, picked up another yellow card for taking his shirt off, referee produced 8 others for short pulling being outspoken etc, but should have given straight red to Johnstone for the foul on Neto
27 Jan 2022 13:10:00
Realy good news all round back home for Adama, good fee guaranteed if only at end of season and not going to north london for them to ruin another Molineux legend. Sorry to see him move on in some respects but grateful and thankful for the exciting moments he gave us
