What happened to our ambition? The club as well as fans. Look at who we signed last time we went up? Wow, yet we all seem content on mediocre signings apart from Tripps and Jimenez. They have had long enough to sort this out and get rid of the dead wood.

The only signing apart from the 2 old boys is the chap, Said.
Unless he is far better than his career so far would indicate, he is an over priced, unnecessary punt to add depth at WF, at a time when there are at least 3 essential positions to fill in the first 11.
Also, whilst no one would deny the 2 old boys are currently top class - probably as good as it gets in the Champ - they are clearly 1, or at most 2, year options.
If Wolves don't go up this season - far from certain with a v v weak spine of Bennett, Toti and Munetsi - the team next year will be markedly weaker, as once again a window - this one - has been catastrophically badly managed.

Only the 12th of the last 13 - I exclude Lopetegui's one, which was excellent.
Yet, there are still posters claiming there are 2 months, 6 weeks, 1 month, 3 weeks, 2 weeks, etc etc to go, and Fosun will get it right, and fans who think otherwise are not loyal enough.
The definition of insanity, according to Einstein, is to do the same thing over and over again, but expect a different result to occur!
Posters claiming that everything will be alright should explain why it will, as the default position now surely has to be that it won't!
Maybe the sun will rise in the west on Friday!

I became a bit concerned when The Manager came out & stated 'Doyle was an important part of his plans'. imo, Doyle's average at best & couldn't hold his place in Brum.
Reading between the lines, & hopefully I'm proved wrong, but I think that statement regarding Doyle says 'we should manage our expectations' regarding new & quality signings.

Since the last promotion and now, the financial rules in the Championship have changed, and the club is carrying far more debt than it was then. The squad is in a mess, solely because there are players who need moving on, who either nobody wants, or whose wages no other club will pay, so the players won't leave.

Other clubs have caught up and overtaken as well.

The reset that's needed doesn't happen in 3 months; it may take 3 years. And, in that time, the gap to the top 10 of the Premier League, never mind with other clubs in the Championship, will grow. It can't be understated what an absolute disaster last season was, and the failure to invest in the infrastructure at the club, and poor recruitment, have made the problems far worse.

Yet another manager sold down the river of false hope and promises. Really thought it would be different this time, shows what a mug I am. 68, never thought our club would hit the buffers like before, but think the club is a shambles, full of mediocrity and no desire to move forward. Top 10 maybe, but defo not nailed on promotion, sadly.

Kenzie, the club has had no ambition for years, or rather the owners haven't. They seem content for the club to be a nice place to work, which fits nicely into their 'happiness' group.
Sure, they'll take success all day long, but they won't pay for it.

Unfortunately, too many fans don't, or don't want to get that, preferring to take a pop at those that do, thereby defending Fosun's approach. No idea why.

Transfer window isn't over yet. There is so much negativity. The future reminds me of a 16th-century lay preacher, JP, in his pulpit, spitting hellfire and doom. I would not be surprised if he's been like this with all the previous owners. For God's sake, mate, give it a rest and let's see what the next couple of weeks bring.

B hill wolf, true that the transfer window is still open, but didn't the club install Rob Edwards last November in preparation for a promotion charge this season? They would surely have known that there was a World Cup in June/July, so why is it that we've signed 2 players before the window opened and only 1 since? What was the preparation? Who are the players that the club identified, and why haven't they actually signed? Is 8 months not long enough? Surely they could have spoken to agents behind the scenes to sell the project, ready to pounce as soon as the window opened.

It's all pure bulls*** from the club, in an effort to get as much money from us gullible fans as possible.

I doubt we'll sign anyone else, and the club will find some excuse.

I've already committed to going to games this season, but I think it will be my last until the owners either prove that they intend to invest, or decide to sell up.

Good while, he. It says it all about the ambition of the club when planning for the Championship last November, when Edwards was appointed. No ambition.

The rules for ownership as i have read is that the acctuaj owner of the club can not use his.own money to buy players pehaps mr ed can enlighten us alittle more on this. S o if new owners came in they would have the same problem and we would be hearing the sae old song again about owners

{Ed001's Note - they can invest in infrastructure, but you are restricted on what you can spend on transfer fees, salaries and agent fees by the club's revenue.}
