I've got a funny feeling that Nuno will try Dendoncker as a right wing back until a replacement for Doherty is signed. He never stops running and can play as a defender or midfielder so maybe Nuno thinks he can alter his game. My line up for Sheff U game is:

GK Patricio
RWB Dendoncker
LWB Vinagre
CB Boly
CB Coady
CB Marcal
MF Adama
MF Jota
MF Neves
MF Moutinho
ST Jimenez

Subs:
Ruddy
Saiss
Silva
Vitinha
Podence
Neto
Buur

I also think that the new players will allow for Nuno to change formation when required.

I think Dendonker has played at RWB a few times for his former club so you might be onto something there Mollie.

2.) 11 Sep 2020 11:10:00
I think Traore is the only option as starter as rwb at the moment.

3.) 11 Sep 2020 12:24:28
I like Dendoncker but I'm not sure he has the pace for RWB to be honest, especially with the way we play. But then he would offer the aerial presence on the flank that we used to regularly use as an outlet for Docs so there could be something in it. As you say Nuno is far better at having the vision with that sort of stuff than me so who knows 👍.

4.) 11 Sep 2020 12:54:13
Traore as a right back would be a disaster. As good as he is going forward, he can't defend! There were a few goals last season that he was in part at least responsible for.

5.) 12 Sep 2020 00:44:10
TT and BB agree with both your posts.
Dendonker is a work horse who will cover a massive distance over the 90mins and certainly is excellent at closing down the opposition's creative players in the middle of the park whilst still getting up to support the attack - seemingly v v fit - but his top speed is limited for a RWB
Massive fan of Traore and think he will start at RWB this week but not only does that waste his attacking threat but I agree he is not a great defender. We actually want him running at people and taking them on - but not on the edge of our box! Sadly at RWB you often want him not to do what he is good at - but I fear that occasionally he will!
BB are you getting sellers remorse?
Wolves please sign a quality replacement and Doherty please be awful for Spurs so that I can move on! (STILL CHUNTERING HERE! )

Does anyone else follow @transferchecker. I find it amusing how he/ she claims to be the most accurate person regarding transfers but has not had a clue about any Wolves rumours.

I muted them ages ago lol.

Anyone watching the Portugal v Croatia game. Diogo Jota looks like his old self before lockdown. Moutinho is also looking good.

Mollie New

1.) 05 Sep 2020 22:08:23
Jota scored I think?

2.) 05 Sep 2020 22:33:44
He did. Played really well. Looked like the Jota from earlier last season. He was back running at the defence and causing all kinds of problems.

3.) 05 Sep 2020 22:41:06
Yeah he scored, very pleased for him this will give him a huge boost in confidence too.

4.) 04 Sep 2020 13:39:37

Hi all, new poster here but long time reader. Why are so many people so upset with Fosun. They have done a wonderful job since taking over. OK they haven't brought a player in just yet but they will so why is everyone panicking.

Welcome to the site, you get used to it the doomsday mongers are out in force pre season normally.

2.) 01 Sep 2020 09:23:37
And the romancers,

3.) 01 Sep 2020 10:41:31
Jodao on his way now. What's going on?

4.) 01 Sep 2020 12:52:57
Keep up greyleg! That was on here the other day, back to Portugal on loan for game time which is good I would think. Nuno doing that so means he's getting things done. I'm sure that incomings will happen soon. I think Ed's shout on Sanderson is worth a try he's not gone out on loan yet so it's possible. Why not? Not much point in training them if they don't get a chance! Let's wait and see!

5.) 01 Sep 2020 13:24:37
Let's talk real, Fosun stated they wanted to take our club to the very top, that's including the champions league when they bought the club, not the fans, so we have all been excited by the prospect, but after a hard fought season after doing well in the premier and Europe, we all thought we would push on to the next level for this season, Nuno saying we needed more quality players and the team need help.
So what happens 2 weeks till season, Nuno not signed contract, No players been bought, First team RWB Sold and LWB Injured, now that tells me with our wafer thin squad already with others been loaned out that Fosun are in cuckoo land if they think we are going to do well with the present squad, hope I am wrong and worrying over nothing and Nuno signs new contract and we get players in, Fosun can you please make a statement and let the fans now what's going on.

6.) 01 Sep 2020 16:07:58
Big- they also said it would take 10 years, notice that you seem to have either forgotten or ignored that part?! It's amazing how many on here refer to Fosuns intentions only to prove in the very next line that they haven't ACTUALLY read or understood them! 🤣🤣🤣.

7.) 01 Sep 2020 16:49:22
Well BullBoy I havnt forgotten, but with progress like we have been doing since last transfer market, which seams like groundhog day all over again will take longer than 10 years in my opinion, if ever it happens, we need 3 or 4 players to keep in touch with the top 6 this year, without more players we will struggle.

8.) 01 Sep 2020 17:38:10
Well it's taken um 4 years to get to 7th in the Prem, with that in mind 6 years to make up the next three league places doesn't seem beyond the realms of possibility now does it?! Don't get me wrong I'm not saying it's easy but I am saying (like Fosun ALWAYS have) these things take time!

9.) 01 Sep 2020 19:17:21
Thanx ken. Missed that post. It's hard work going thru the hords of posts on here 🧐, but people are worrying and doubting I suppose.

If this signing happens, it just confirms that no one on this site has any inside information and how Fosun get their negotiations done in the background. I'll be honest that until 2pm today, I had never heard of this player probably just like 99.9% of Wolves fans.

Just looking at his showreel on You Tube which I know isn't the most accurate, but bloody he'll, this boy can play. Then checked previous rumours about him and he was wanted by Liverpool a few weeks ago and also interested the likes of Real Madrid, Atletico Mardid, Spurs and Juventus.

John Moss was told to have a look at the on screen monitor the other day after sending of a Southampton player. After viewing it, he downgraded from a red to a yellow card.

It wasn't due on TV at all until PL negotiated that all games during Sept would be shown. As this wasn't one of Skys original choice of matches to show, it was decided it would be shown on Pick but Sky have since changed their mind and the game will be shown on Sky Sports with a new kick off time of 1800hrs.

SQ, the only player we have lost is Doherty. OK, we will be without Jonny for the the majority of the season but we have Ruben Vinagre ready to come in. He was originally signed as a LWB but saw his opportunities limited due to Jonny's form. I agree that Doc is a big loss but we have some highly rated youngsters who could fill in until the end of the transfer window next month if required. Add to this the fact that at this stage, although subject to change, we have Shabani and Jordao who are extra players from last season and we also have 3 players currently back from loan who will most likely move on but are available in the interim, namely Miranda, Bonatini and Bennett. The likes of Csoka, Marques, Matheson, Nya and Otasowie are all defensive minded players and highly regarded and at some point need game time. Just because they're young doesn't mean that they ain't good enough.
