Just been watching the ELF debate with Holloway and it's clear everybody hates us. Talking about how much everyone has spent and how well they have done. nothing about wolves. How warnock is brilliant and it's all about Cardiff for promotion then "I'll say another team doing well" Ipswich! So they covered first and third and totally ignored us! Goes to show all are jealous.

1.) 17 Aug 2017 23:41:26
As long as we keep getting the results, no one cares what others have got to say about us. We'll just quietly go about our business. It's clear that most clubs in this league are jealous of us. Sky have also done us a favour by not selecting any of our matches. They seem confident that Villa were going to walk the title hence why 5 if their games are being shown. If we beat Cardiff on Saturday they'll say Cardiff played poorly not that we played well. Let them hate us, we'll have the last laugh.

2.) 17 Aug 2017 23:41:36
Its showing more and more pompey we haven't been liked for a long time everyone is so jealous they're just hoping our wheels come off so they can all gloat and say well its not going to plan for wolves after spending big but this ain't going to happen teams will come and they'll try and kick us but I tell you what nuno has instilled some fight into this team and we won't capitulate this time this is a totally different class wolves side and fosun have got it bang on wolvesaywe.

3.) 18 Aug 2017 00:13:39
Popmpey- sadly that's just the way of it, everyone used to love Man City when they just the poor neighbors of United. when they started winning things though all of a sudden 'ah well they are just buying a title'! Especially ironic/ hypocritical considering United did that throughout most of the 90's and not a single journo dared to say it! We're English fella. therefore we all have a natural aversion to trusting success! ;)

Besides Holloway is like Mick and Warnock, part of an old guard who see peeps like Nuno coming over to this league and must know that they are unlikely to EVER get so much as an interview with a big club again! Just a sad case of old boys club self preservation, little more to it than that! Besides Holloway knows NOTHING about footy. I'd be more concerned if he had tipped us if honest! ;)

4.) 18 Aug 2017 01:28:58
First time post. I watched this to. Totally missed the Wolves out.3 pts Saturday, the wolves are on their way back.

5.) 18 Aug 2017 06:45:37
To be fair Cardiff and Ipswich have started really well. Especially Ipswich. Maybe McCarthy can do a similar job with Ipswich as he did with us in his first season.

6.) 18 Aug 2017 07:19:49
I don't give a flying that no one is talking about us let's just get on with our own business keep winning games I wouldn't mind but there is other teams in our league who have spent more
**** em!

7.) 18 Aug 2017 07:27:03
Ur right they have started well. we will c how good they are when they play us. let's c what comments are made WHEN WE THRASH. Cardiff. forever wolves.

8.) 18 Aug 2017 07:57:12
McCarthy has been at Ipswich longer than he was with us amazing he is still there probably the longest serving manager in the Championship.

9.) 18 Aug 2017 08:16:17
ipswich and cardiff have done well but look at who they played, burton brum millwall and a poor villa team while we have played 2 relegated teams and one play off team from last year.

10.) 18 Aug 2017 10:54:39
Guys get used to it. Success in this country always gets knocked and we are going to be successful so it's inevitable.
If that's the the sort of biased crap Sky is going to churn out then don't bother watching it. Or turn it to our advantage and make us all stronger.
We can still acknowledge when any team plays well against us, we don't have to drop to Sky's level and their has been pundits.
We're Wolves Ay We 😎.

11.) 19 Aug 2017 02:18:31
Holloway is Jacketts best mate he s hated us since Jackett was dumped so no surprise there. We get a slight mention on Talk Sport and they carry on talking about Villa all the while. They have spent quadruple what we've spent and how come no one mentions Midesborough who have been the top spenders so far. Under the radar is fine by me we're doing this for Carl anyway!

01 Aug 2017 22:45:30
Wolves_4_life I'm going up for the Cardiff game if you want a lift? I think it's you that lives in Portsmouth.

1.) 02 Aug 2017 01:29:36
Pompey Wolf yes I do live in Pompey. Unfortunately I'm working that weekend. Will definitely be up for some other games though if we plan ahead with enough notice.

2.) 02 Aug 2017 13:16:37
Hi Pompeywolf and WOLVES_4_LIFE, my son and I live on the Isle of Wight, would be great if we could travel to games sometimes with you and would be more than happy to contribute to petrol expensives.

31 May 2017 13:19:25
Twitter confirming nuno has been appointed. Also coming with him are Rui Pedro Silva, Rui Barbosa and Antonio Dias.

1.) 31 May 2017 14:05:03
Thelwell in charge of transfer for now how did he survive he must b a cat with nine lives.

2.) 31 May 2017 14:26:55
Couple of thoughts, let's hope the new manager and backroom staff make us hard to beat and give us a defence that are hard to break down with plenty of clean sheets.
secondly I think we won't be going back in for weimann now lamberts gone, too similar to what we already have.
finally if the youngsters don't get a chance it may be a blessing if jackett gets the portsmouth job as i'm sure he would snap up a few on season long loans to aid their developement.

3.) 31 May 2017 15:09:38
Yes I wasn't a fan of Jacketts but good luck to him if he gets the Portsmouth job, that is definitely his level.

4.) 31 May 2017 15:35:04
With cook now at wigan they now have jackett as their number one target. Was recently working at tottenhams academy and he would definetely help the likes of enobakhare, ennis, carnat, wilson etc. Would like to see ronan and gibbs - white get a full pre season as I think they're good enough for the championship/ too good for league 1. Ennis and wilson would fill their boots in that league and come back stronger.

28 Jan 2017 11:45:05
Very disappointed with the side he has put out today. Thought we might have put out the strongest team possible.

1.) 28 Jan 2017 14:08:29
Still disappointed?
I see Liverpool bring on Can, Coutinho and Sturridge as subs imagine if we could do that.

2.) 28 Jan 2017 14:34:49
Fair play they were great. apart from Evans and Saville who were awful for 90 mins!

3.) 28 Jan 2017 14:41:23
Just wondering 2.1 pompey and you still find something to moan about are you in the wendsfeild fan club

4.) 28 Jan 2017 14:49:29
Pompeywolf, are you serious about Saville and Evans? You must have been watching a different game to me as I saw them putting their foot in and breaking up play. They were not in the team to make marauding runs.

5.) 28 Jan 2017 15:04:21
Just my opinion and thought they offered nothing, the only ones never pressing. I just said good performance apart from those two. Thought doc was sensational as was Costa.

6.) 28 Jan 2017 15:53:15
Over the frickin moon how can people doubt lambert didn't go but watched it and all the commentator kept sayin and I think it was Murphy was wolves are so organised UTW MUST KEEP COSTA AT ALL COSTA

7.) 28 Jan 2017 16:35:34
Saville and Evans didn't press as they were holding making sure there was no fap in front of back 4 for Liverpool to play through. There positioning led then to put hopeful high balls into box. Can't understand some people's views. If they would have pressed up they would have picked us off. Great tactics which were stuck to by two very disciplined players.

8.) 28 Jan 2017 17:18:33
Lambert saying he wanted to stop them playing from the back down the middle so that was Evans and Saville's purpose it's not meant to be pretty we have Costa for that!

9.) 28 Jan 2017 17:38:21
BT were full of praise for Wolves even the small chat after the match Ince said "we've talked about liverpool how about wolves" or something of that nature lol.
Even the match now Southampton Arsenal BT have mentioned Wolves heroics.

10.) 28 Jan 2017 17:42:24
Win 1-2 at anfield and some people still knock player 😂 😂 😂 carry on with football manager 17

11.) 28 Jan 2017 18:01:51
Pompeywolf fans like you get on my tits we have just beat Liverpool away played well Saville and Evans were brilliant all match and you cum on here and moan get a life.

12.) 28 Jan 2017 18:17:28
Evans and Saville were picked to do a job. They did just that. Magnificent performance all round.

13.) 28 Jan 2017 18:27:38
Thought Evans Saville were immense today. Liverpool at home didn't manage a shot on target for an hour. We completely blocked the middle of the park. Total discipline and team ran themselves into the ground. Excellent selection.

14.) 28 Jan 2017 19:58:46
Fantastic Result!

Well done PL and the whole team. 😉👍

15.) 28 Jan 2017 20:24:23
Evans and Saville were excellent - disciplined, tackled hard and gave Liverpool no time on the ball. They were just as good at Stoke. Cannot believe Pompey Wolf can't see that - wonder if you ever played the game?

16.) 28 Jan 2017 21:04:05
Who do we want in the round of 16 then?

17.) 28 Jan 2017 21:39:56
Fantastic result today, I can't belive the transformation after Zenga, PL deservers so much credit for an emaculate plan to starve Liverpool. Hard pressing up front and closing down on defensive duties. People may say Liverpool played a second
Team in some positions. but so did we! Possesion rate is just numbers its how we break and expand quickly and we exploited Liverpool's downfall. Congratulations to all the squad and Management and to all the fans who travelled to Liverpool today. On one final note as we all want is UPTW.

18.) 28 Jan 2017 21:41:51
@Razorwolf you are bang on my fellow wolves mate 👍👍

19.) 28 Jan 2017 23:13:58
Arsenal at home, then Oxford in QF, Lincoln in SF then Sutton in the Final.

20.) 28 Jan 2017 23:14:46
Don't mind as long as we're at home. We are ball number 5 for the draw on Monday.

21.) 28 Jan 2017 23:57:51
Holding in front of the back four and you moan they don't press? Clearly not adept in the art of football. fantastic performance all round, don't care who we get next round.

22.) 29 Jan 2017 00:15:51
Lincoln or Oxford at home.

23.) 29 Jan 2017 00:47:38
Bewdeley Wolf, everybody has being shagging off Evans and Saville all season but now because they played when we beat Liverpool it's like they were busquets and pogba, they were awful and will always be awful! You go back to fifa and get the best out of them but I don't rate either of them. Well done boys, great result but dangerous and Costa carried you both all game.

24.) 29 Jan 2017 00:51:42
Razorwolf, yes I indeed did play the game, in fact I managed to rob a bit of money out of football. I said we were fantastic today but I didn't rate Evans or Saville, gave the ball away countless times, weak in the tackle and hoofed it away all the time. Doc and Costa where brilliant as was coast who I think most people on here slate week in week out. Very short memories.

25.) 29 Jan 2017 02:11:40
Saville has had criticism I agree. But I thought he played well at stoke and Liverpool. And as for Evans he's only played twice all season so I don't think fans should criticize player that's hardly played.

26.) 29 Jan 2017 09:02:04
Pompey managing a pub team on Sunday doesn'take you a expert every year one else thought Saville and Evans did their job but once again you turn a posertive into a nergertive

27.) 29 Jan 2017 12:10:29
Think you mean positive in to a negative?! I'll just wait for the next time everyone starts banging on about how they were crap and should be sold! Stick to fifa mate they might be good on there

28.) 29 Jan 2017 17:54:21
Pompey, no one's saying they should or shouldn't be sold. We are talking about their performance in thus particular game and they did their job and made life hard for the Liverpool players. Long term yes, they are not what we need week in week out but they played well in this match.

29.) 29 Jan 2017 18:50:26
Don't play fifa mate I'm 39 not a child.

30.) 29 Jan 2017 19:44:53
Can't agree Pompey - both Saville and Evans put in solid performances just as they did at Stoke they were not awful and for me they have earned further chances. And for the record I haven't slagged off either of them (or shagged em as you so eloquently put) .

31.) 29 Jan 2017 23:33:27
Everyone is entitled to their opinion Razorwolf and for me I didn't rate either of them and never have. But mind you stearman scored on too so he will be the best thing ever although pretty much everyone raved about how bad he was and we shouldn't have him back. As I said we have won against Liverpool and well done boys but I'm just waiting for the next poor result to see who gets blasted then.

32.) 29 Jan 2017 23:37:06
I wasn't referencing you Bewdley Wolf. Mind you I do like a bit of fifa and I'm 40! We all have different opinions on different players and I've never liked Evans or Saville. Think Saiss should play more now he is back and also don't think we should have let prince go out on loan.

23 Jan 2017 13:12:37
Apparently we are interested in Rickie Lambert who had fallen out of favour at Cardiff. Also I saw that Steven Taylor is having a trial at Ipswich. Thought he might have been an option for us as he wasn't too bad at Newcastle and also a free transfer.

1.) 23 Jan 2017 13:46:07
No we're not it was suggestion as lambert tried to sign him when he was at Liverpool like I say as far as I read it was just a suggestion and nothing else!

Wolves in talks to sign Jack Colback on loan from Newcastle.

1.) 30 Aug 2017 13:44:35
Would be a good signing we are lacking in the ginger department.

2.) 30 Aug 2017 14:00:55
We are Darlo, need to have a token Ginger. Maybe we could sign Chesney from Coronation street to play up front.

3.) 30 Aug 2017 14:17:31
Chesney's a big wuss. Would go missing under pressure. i'd rather have Gemma. Bit of midfield bite.

4.) 30 Aug 2017 15:37:30
How about Batterbys halve sister she has a good pair of strikers.

23 Aug 2017 19:14:52
Doesn't look like saints have sold many.

19 Aug 2017 23:09:16
Absolutely disgusted with both the referee and the Cardiff players today. 5 or 6 times they hacked us down off the ball but at soon as we touched them it was a free kick. The keeper was time wasting from the first minute. 400 miles round trip to be robbed by someone who wasn't even worthy of refereeing a Sunday league game.

16 Aug 2017 21:54:16
Wolves_4_life are did you get a ticket to the saints game?

1.) 17 Aug 2017 01:33:20
Pompey Wolf yes got 4 mate. You manage to get one?

2.) 17 Aug 2017 04:39:42
Yes managed to get one in the end.

3.) 17 Aug 2017 11:24:28
Pompey Wolf you guna drive or get train? Where abouts in Pompey do you live?

4.) 17 Aug 2017 11:45:30
Watch him Pompey Wolf! Seems Wolves 4 life is lookin for a lot more than a bromance? 😂 Hope you've got your lube and jonnys sorted? 🍆💦💦💦😂😂😂.

5.) 17 Aug 2017 13:22:38
Haha PT funny man. I'm going with my Mrs. My mate and his Mrs. So there won't be any Lube left. You keep your posh ****s to yourself PT 🤣.

6.) 17 Aug 2017 14:35:50
u seem to protest to much! 😂.

7.) 17 Aug 2017 16:20:43
Wolves 4 life and pompey wolf, me and my mare and his wife are going to, look out for us.
Gonna be a great night.

8.) 17 Aug 2017 22:30:40
I will look out for you Stuwolf. Don't know whether to brave the train there as it's only up the road. I'm coming up for the Cardiff game Saturday but could only get in the Stan cullis but I'm in the jack Hayward for the millwall game. A nice 400 mile round trip.

9.) 17 Aug 2017 23:29:42
Onwards and Upwards,

Oh yes.

08 Aug 2017 22:20:43
From what I've seen tonight we are still lacking a spine of the team. If NES is going to play Coady at CB then we need 2 x cm and a striker, if playing Coady cm then we need 1 x cd 1 x cm and 1 x striker. We have an amazing first 11 but we can't guarantee they will be fit all season. We need strength in depth.

1.) 09 Aug 2017 01:02:20
Agreed Pompey Wolf a striker is a must.

2.) 09 Aug 2017 10:42:52
The spine is the best I ever remember provided we sign a good striker. 4 straight clean sheets and all defenders looking good, Neves and Saiss are the 2 cm's. More than happy to have Ronan and Price as back ups with Ronan improving game on game. Marshall will also be able to cover cm if needed. We're not going to get another player like Neves or Saiss as back up and again i'd rather see Ronan given the chance.

We need a striker and everything should be put into this and I'm pretty sure it is behind the scenes.

This type of game always makes you think the players aren't good enough but they've all been thrown in. the likelihood is should one of the main cm's be out then one other would drop in. Unlikely that Nuno will be resting both Neves and Saiss or they are suspended/ injured at the same time.

3.) 09 Aug 2017 13:55:56
I understand your point Just Smith, just what I saw, Neves and Saiss are fantastic but Edwards and Price aren't the answer to cover suspensions, injuries etc. Ronan is a fantastic talent but again a bit lightweight for central midfield and will be more creative higher up the pitch. I think marshall will be used at wing back mainly or one of the three across the front. I would love to see us bring in Crouch for a season with the quality we have out wide he would get 15 goals + in our team.

Good possession today. Love Leo but he isn't a 20 goal a season man. Jota was different class. Saiss and neves fantastic. Vinagre good going forward. Marshall and doc awful. N'diaye looked mobile when he came on and likes a tackle. Bright needs to do the simple things instead of trying to beat 3 people every time.

We looked comfortable in possession but like a lot of people have said we need to kill teams off. Always look slightly unorganised at the back although Coady cut a lot of attacks out very well. Still need a couple of strikers in Jan.

Bright can do a job centrally, quick and strong. Just needs to improve his finishing and his final ball and he will be class.

Agree Jas, Hugill isn't the player we need. As mentioned yesterday I think we have brought really well so far but I think we have just about hit panic stations with the midfielder and striker.
