Just watched Jiminez on you tube as it looks like a done deal. Not convinced about his first touch but we will never miss another pen when he takes them!

Tettenhall Toad

1.) 10 Jun 2018 02:01:59
I can see Jiminez as the back up striker tbh. A step up from Afobe and Bonatini. He has some very good qualities just can't see him bagging over 10. I could be very wrong.

2.) 10 Jun 2018 10:40:44
Surely if he impresses which I think he can. He also is known to play on the wing. So he is able to match Nuno’s system without kicking a ball. Think Silva needs to come to be our number 1 striker!

3.) 10 Jun 2018 11:11:04
Jimenez got 8 goals last season as a sub. And much of that was in the Primeira Liga.
Breakout star next year if we sign him and he gets the minutes.

Picture of Neves with Burke Bros. staff moving into new house in Wolverhampton on net 30 mins ago. can't find it now but it was there. Speculation over. Dream on you scousers!

We've got Neves!

18 Mar 2018 19:39:41
Colin not happy. Saying its "a disgrace" that todays game was called off, and suggesting it might have something to do with Derby having ten players injured. I must say it looks alright at Leicester .

Tettenhall Toad

1.) 19 Mar 2018 10:29:54
I heard it reported that the game at Derby was called off due to a frozen pitch. Strange - I can't imagine that a relatively new stadium would have been built without under soil heating.

Maybe Colin has a point for a change.

2.) 19 Mar 2018 16:01:31
exactly the FA should inspect, but might work in our favour.

3.) 19 Mar 2018 17:07:36
Personally I think it works to our advantage as derby had a stack of injuries. But it was funny how clear the Leicester pitch looked and there only 30 miles away, be it 24 for hours later when they played just my opinion.

4.) 19 Mar 2018 17:13:51
Maybe Derby did have their reasons for postponing that match. Their form, and their injuries, for example. Nevertheless the statement from the EFL backed Derby, it went:

"The decision to postpone this afternoon's fixture between Derby County and Cardiff City was made first thing this morning following discussions between Derby County, Derbyshire Police and the local Safety Advisory Group (SAG) .

"It was taken in the interests of spectator safety following heavy overnight snow falling in the Derby area which had built up on the roads surrounding the stadium.

"An announcement was made at 8.30am and the EFL is satisfied from the information shared that these were the reasons the match was postponed and will provide Cardiff City with the opportunity to provide any additional information they feel is relevant, before responding further. "

5.) 19 Mar 2018 18:08:35
sorry the game was meant to be played on Sunday not Saturday. So only A few hours apart from the Leicester game, but if that’s the case people’s saftey is most important.

6.) 19 Mar 2018 18:23:53
It’s only Colin. sod him. 😂😂.

7.) 20 Mar 2018 22:28:10
Euro- That may have been the statement but since then both the Council and Police in Derby have been very quick to back a way from the call whilst pointing out that the decision was made by the club rather than them! Better for us either way but if your being fair then like Statto says maybe Colin does have a point!

30 Jan 2018 17:47:29
Not signing Jota until July. Why?

Tettenhall Toad

1.) 30 Jan 2018 16:24:41
Does it matter it's agreed 👍.

2.) 30 Jan 2018 16:37:02
Money required for someone else?

3.) 30 Jan 2018 16:39:45
A fee was agreed as part of the loan deal.
If they sign him sooner than that Atletico tear up the agreement and will want a far bigger fee so a no brainer for us really.

4.) 30 Jan 2018 17:25:45
One answer FFP.

5.) 30 Jan 2018 17:28:48
Price will be the same whatever time that they buy Derby. Makes sense to pay later though.

6.) 30 Jan 2018 17:44:21
I am guessing that Jota's new deal with us would be higher wages than he is currently on so if they wait until July they pay his current wages rather than the inflated wages.

7.) 30 Jan 2018 18:05:32
Yeah Olds right on this Derby makes no difference to price as essentially it works the same as a minimum release fee (albeit only applicable to the club he's at) . For me the reasons will be simple a) FFP, why complicate things on that when you can just wait till the clubs financially stronger and b) and I'm amazed no one else has clocked this but is it not entirely likely that Jota has said I'm not signing on that dotted line till I know you are a Prem club?! let's be honest whatever happens there is NO CHANCE that most of these quality loans would be up for another Champ season! Sure we'll be fine COYW ;)

8.) 30 Jan 2018 18:26:46
I think the financial figures are submitted in march, so by leaving it till the summer it won't be on this years. All to get round ffp I'm guessing. Hopefully with the deal not bein done till the summer it leaves the door open for us to bring in a striker tomorrow 👍.

9.) 30 Jan 2018 18:43:35
Thanks Wolf and Bully makes sense.

10.) 30 Jan 2018 19:01:10
Great news getting Jota signed well done Jeff for pulling another worldy off love being a wolves fan. IN NUNO WE TRUST.

11.) 30 Jan 2018 18:07:35
Good info. Thanks. Just hope he doesn't change his mind or get poached before July .

12.) 31 Jan 2018 06:29:38
Great news Wolves intend making Jota permanent in the summer - however - has Jota himself agreed the move? I haven't read anywhere that he has agreed to making the move permanent. As I understand it Wolves have just stated their intention to make it permanent.
Really don't want to put a dampener on all this joy - I'm delighted Wolves want him.
Just would be nice to get a statement from Diogo himself to make it clear.

13.) 31 Jan 2018 18:41:32
Nik- Think your wrong there if honest, else they wouldn't of had an announcement to even make as it would have been same old! Pretty sure the very basis of the announcement will be that we have a provisional contract in place with him although I don't doubt there will be caveats in it first of which I imagine is promotion. Should be fine there then, I also wouldn't be surprised if he has a release fee in there. I have heard whispers that Costas does but then no one really knows on these things. Also that will be why they are holding off on the personal statements because if it is contingent on promotion they would make themselves look especially poor if he announced it and then it didn't happen ;)

24 Jan 2018 23:16:14
Anyone else think the new Leeds United " crest" makes the club a laughing stock?

Tettenhall Toad

1.) 25 Jan 2018 09:51:53
Is it a headless Donald Trump?

2.) 25 Jan 2018 10:21:08
I already thought they were a laughing stock, this just reemphasises the point in my book.

3.) 25 Jan 2018 10:42:58
I just don't get what was wrong with the old badge, Leeds don't have that many negative connotations except for of course a lack of following through on the clubs potential and new badge ain't going to solve that, promotion would! And yeah it looks AWFUL, more like some sort of anti-violence charity emblem! They have already said they are 'rethinking it' wonder how much all that has cost um! Shouldn't laugh. I do hope Fosun have the sense to leave our badge well alone! They seem to like the wolf iconography so no reason why they wouldn't COYW.

4.) 25 Jan 2018 16:12:29
They will never change our badge as it’s easily recognisable it has strong product recognition and it also patented, wolves threatened to sue brewdog over there logo on the bottles of lone wolf . Your right BullysBoy it does look like one of those anti violence emblems 😂.

5.) 26 Jan 2018 08:40:21
Well, we've had 7 over the course of our club's history - 3 in the last 25 years - so there's no reason why we wouldn't get another. However, the simple design of the one we have is nice and marketable and good for scrawling on pencil cases so I doubt it will be changed any time soon.

I think maybe Doherty needs a rest. I'd play Jonny on the right and Vinagre on the left on Saturday.

On hol in Turkey. Watching the game in hotel Cinema and surrounded by Man U "fans". To be fair the lifelong supporters, who actually live in Manchester were fine. As for the young pretenders . , loved it when that equaliser went in. Great performance, again, and proved we are back with the best! Another Mojito, please barman!

What a great day out, 10 hours round trip, but well worth the effort. Great effort from the team. Terrific to see Nunu’s army stay behind after the game for a good old sing and chant. Well done to all. The realisation that we are back in the big time is just sinking in. So proud of the old home town and lifetime club.

2.) 23 Sep 2018 09:27:11
You’ve been watching too much teletubbies north bank😂.

3.) 23 Sep 2018 11:57:42
Odd and poor attempt at belittlement unless perhaps you are a villa supporter ( I guess the clue is in the handle ) .

{Ed001's Note - seriously? He was joking about your Nunu typo. What happened to banter?}

4.) 23 Sep 2018 14:07:17
It got sucked up the Nunu.

{Ed001's Note - good one, that made me chuckle.}

5.) 23 Sep 2018 15:06:12
I guess North Bank didn't get the reference but that's ok we wolves love our Nuno very much.

6.) 23 Sep 2018 16:35:04
Apologies, I know nothing about teletubbies, perhaps a bit after my time ( I’m 67). Also apologise for the typographical error.

{Ed001's Note - ah that explains it! I did wonder why you took offense. Though the Teletubbies are bloody offensive to the mind. My daughter used to love them.}

7.) 23 Sep 2018 16:40:39
It was a joke northbank! Been following the Wolves since 1964 and wouldn’t have had a clue who “Nunu” was but for watching teletubies with my granddaughter.

11 Sep 2018 20:16:33
I see Rafa Mir scored for Spain u21's today. Also got a couple of pre season goals against decent opposition. Bit surprising we've loaned him out maybe?

If, like me, you always had a bit of a soft spot for Leicester FC and their fans ( and were seriously happy when they won THe Premiership ) , have a look at their Fox Tales site and think again. Its very easy for upstanding and normal people to be magnanimous in victory ( even a lucky one! ) but no, they are just slagging us off. Shocking! Nobody likes us but we don't care!

Tettenhall Toad

1.) 19 Aug 2018 12:50:33
Sorry, foxestalk.

15 Aug 2018 17:25:59
Re Mcmanamangate. To be honest, who cares what he thinks. I hate Liverpool fc but wouldn't be stupid enough to say it if I was being paid big bucks on live tv! . However if " I don't like Wolves" is the most eloquent and insightful comment he can come up with, he probably should be sacked.

Best wolves football I've ever watched ( in 40 + years ) but we definitely need another striker in January to help Raul out. How about Tommy Orpington?

Correct Old Wulf. How could you possibly say we would have lost one nil! Game would have been completely ( or slightly ) different. Their goal wouldn't have existed the way it did because whatever happened after the "disallowed" goal would have changed the universe in a way we will never know, ever so slightly. Might have won or lost 3 nil, or probably somewhere in between.

I've repeated it many times. Its not Nuno's or Wolves fault we are not signing these top players. They want to go to a London, or Manchester, or Liverpool, or even Birmingham (if they had a football team! ) . They don't want to live in Wolverhampton, and this is going to be a major, long term problem for us.

Its not moaning, its construvctive comments about how we can improve. I don't think we would be where we are now if Nuno, etc just thought " everything is ok " when we have a setback. It doesn't work like that however positive you are. And surely if Nuno can use the word " disappointed" 4 times in his post match interview, it's ok for fans to do so without being branded " moaners"!

Tettenhall Toad

{Ed025's Note - some of it has been constructive TT but there has also been some moaning as well, myself i think you are doing very well and certainly exceeding my expectations, there were always going to be rocky patches and to expect anything less is nothing short of naive, stick by your team and enjoy the ride guys..

Disappointing result today. Don't think we played badly but the way Brighton allowed Neves and Moutinho to play was a surprise after Watford sussed us out last week and we should have taken advantage of it. Fluky goal but we simply don't score enough do we?

Sorry ed but if you really believe all those Everton players would walk into our first team you are sadly deluded!
