Every time I have seen Max play he looks absolutely class. Mature beyond his years. I would welcome this. Not sure if his age would mean we wouldn't have to lose anyone but as I type that Neave is in the same boat age wise and I guess someone would have to make way.
I'm sure a couple may want to get out in Jan if they haven't had much minutes like Bouba for example.

Best to have a contingency in place for a long term injury not just players leaving, still 16 matches to the turn around let alone 39 until may.

I believe you would need to lose someone as under 21 loans are not viewed the same as under 21 permanent players.
Given it would be a mere half season loan with obviously no chance of buying him, unless he was so good that he dramatically altered the likely outcome of the season, I am not sure it would be worth having to lose a squad player - unless perhaps they could be sent on loan somewhere else - to merely develop a player for another side.
Hence the Neave deal is also a little weird. He is unlikely to play much - as a back up to Raul - so doing little for Wolves but takes a place in the squad.
Newcastle however gets to park him here saving money and see him hopefully develop at Wolves expense?

There's no way we would get a shot at Max Dowman unless we could offer him guaranteed first team minutes. When we signed Jota in the championship in 2017/18 he came in for some rough treatment from opponents. Not sure if we are a good fit for Dowman as we are improving match by match. Can't do anything until January anyway.
