I think the next 24hrs is going to be chaotic with lots of rumours with a couple actual signings and departures.

Seems Wolfe is going nowhere, Cesar wants to keep him. Rumour about a loan for a young MU left back, which may be just in case Hugo goes to Benfica. We can moan about the lack of signings, but Cesar has made it clear he only wants players that add value and are not just a number.
Look at the players previously written off, Djiga, Munetsi, Traore, Lopez. Now, first-team regulars or close. They are really new signings.

Yes, Hythe Wolf. If you count the new signings (Raul, Trippier, Said, Virginia, Ruddy, James), with the players that came back from loans (Fer Lopez, Munetsi, Djiga, Traore), that is essentially 10 new players. That is a big change from what our roster was at the end of last season, since several of these new players are in the starting 11 now and others are contributing as #2 option in the first few games.
Just spending money on players doesn't mean they will work out.
If they can't find a player to fill a definite need at a reasonable price that makes sense for the Championship, then it's best to hold off and then reevaluate in the January window.
The only position I'm worried about is LCB and a Toti replacement. Krejci would be my preference, but that, first, depends on him staying, and, second, on him getting his head straight.

Wolfe is off to Hamburg on loan, Hythe. Can't see as we'd let Hugo go as well, and then try to get by on an injury prone youngster from Man U, but who can fathom Fosun's desire for money over long term success.
Sa rumoured to be going, looks like Krejci will be gone.
Yet again, it looks like false promises (lies) and a weakening of position for the team from Fosun.
I hope I'm wrong. How I'd wish we'd end up going to bed with 3 points in the bag, retaining those we need and a couple of reinforcements in. Just can't see it, our hopes for the season could be as good as done by tomorrow.

Those claimed to be 'written off' were generally written off because we were in the Premier League and a different mindset is needed now we're in the Championship. Players that can't hack it against elite opponents can look much better when they are not continually under pressure, either when defending or when being closed down quickly by opposition players.
Despite the often held view to the contrary, ball players can flourish in the Championship because they can actually get more time and space, which is one reason, along with increased confidence, why Lopez is currently looking a class apart.

Sky reported that the Wolfe move had been blocked, which could be a result of a potential Hugo move. All conjecture. I'd like Krejci to stay, in fact, with Santi, they'd be a better cb pairing.
Krejci is also good moving forward into midfield when the opportunity arises. I am concerned about who'd replace Sa tonight if he goes. We'll know who's left in the squad later tonight.

I.
Sorry, Hythe, I hope you're right; it'd be madness otherwise. We've already got a replacement for Sa should he go, the name, I can't remember at mo.
Personally, I'd rather keep Hugo or ideally both, but ambitions and money talks, sadly.

Trouble with Krejci and Santi as a pairing is that they are both slow in relative terms, and at least one centre back ideally needs to be pacy to be able to cover the inevitable defensive lapses.

Looks like Wolfe is going now! That must mean Hugo is staying, doesn't it? It's a magic roundabout.
