With our owners' track record, I can't help but thinking that they may well sell one of Mane or Lopez - or even both on deadline day. Hope I am wrong.

Funnily (or not) enough, Floydwolf, they've allegedly put a £40M price tag on Lopez. This may or may not be true, but if it is, leopards and spots spring to mind.
Having said that, I can't believe that even Fosun would pull the rug on CP so early, but, as you say, they have form.

Longmyndwolf, at the moment I agree with you. Surely they are not that stupid. But we are talking about Fuson, me personally can't see it happening. If they want promotion, then keep Mane, Lopez, Andre, build a team round them.
Wolves have a bloody good squad, just hope Fuson don't f*** it up. Wolves need 2 or 3 more players, Striker, LW who can play on the right, maybe a Ch if someone leaves.

Hopefully they've learnt their lesson selling the better players. I don't think selling Lopez, Mane, or Andre will happen this season, but I suspect they're being monitored by both PL clubs & some top EU teams. It'll be impossible to hold onto them if we fail to get promoted, and near impossible if the big clubs come & turn their heads with promotion, if there's no future plan in place, or project, if you want to call it that.
Fosun really need to start thinking about how to move this club forward. Not just getting promoted, but longer term. European football!! It's not impossible, we achieved it under Nuno.

Blackfordswolfs, you are talking about Fosun. Do you actually think they have changed? Will Wolves being relegated make any difference? Who knows. Fingers crossed it has, but there's always a but, and with Fosun, it's a big but.

Someone said the other day about giving Fosun credit for the signings made, and it was pointed out that it's the club who sign the players despite Fosun. Yet, when it's selling, it seems it's Fosun who sell the player, not the club.
I hope whoever it is doesn't sell any of our best before the window closes. I used to have faith that that wouldn't happen, but I'm not so confident anymore.
I don't doubt it will happen in the future, but hopefully they have learnt to get a few seasons more from top players while bringing on replacements. Expecting new/replacement players to hit the ground running doesn't work. As seen with Lopez, he needed a season on loan and has come back so much better.

The team sheet on Tuesday will be interesting with all these slightly perturbing rumours going around about Mane, Lopez, Andre, Hugo Bueno and Krejci. If they are all on the team sheet, then we are 90% certain that they are here until January!

You're correct, Goat, it is the Club that does the buying and selling, as owners are not allowed under FFP/PSR rules.
However, Fosun's lack of development of the Club, and its lack of a self-sustainability policy, forces the sale of top players, not to reinvest in the squad necessarily, but to keep the doors open.

Yes, Long, I agree. They could do a lot better at managing the finances, so we don't lose so much in various black holes. It feels like, looking at a football club from a business viewpoint, improvements in infrastructure, etc., are generally viewed as non-viable. Too much outlay and not enough return. It only works if the team is successful, so they sell players, and by that point any changes would affect income, so again aren't done.
Some have said now would be the time to improve the ground, as there would potentially be fewer fans, but it's very risky if the team doesn't perform. Sometimes a leap of faith is needed.

Please note, the club is 100% owned by Fosun and managed on a day-to-day basis by a Fosun employee.
It is therefore fairly obvious that it is not independent of Fosun, and thus everything it does (especially signing and selling of players) is completely and totally done with the approval, consent and knowledge of Fosun.
Therefore it deserves credit for the good things, and blame for the bad things.
