I guess by the letter of the law Krejci deserved a second yellow, however the decisions are not consistent, thought it was harsh, maybe book Rice for Arsenal for taking forever to take a corner.
We should have scored at least 1 before the sending off, abysmal penalty.
I did see something this morning saying by no means is Rob guaranteed to be manager for next season.

I think it should depend on remaining performances and results, if we say win 1 more game, how can we keep Rob for next season with a record like that?
I have given up blaming Fosun they going nowhere and Shi 2 seems very much like Shi 1, unfortunately.

Problem is, Bansky, that if going by the letter of the law then Hughes should have gone in the first half. Two blatant bookable offences that the ref chose to ignore, but then Krejci kicks the ball literally seconds after the whistle, and the ref couldn't wait to pull his card out. That's not why we lost, though; that's on Rob and the players. So that's now Brighton at home and Palace away, both of which haven't won forever, and both of which looked terrible, and still they beat us fairly easily. Sorry, but I think Edwards has had long enough, and it simply isn't working. Mind you, I do still feel a bit sorry for him, because, like every manager before him, they've entirely screwed him in the window.

Tolu should have been pulled at half-time today, but he can't be, can he, because who exactly is Edwards supposed to bring on? We are playing our 18 protege every minute of every game, and still don't have any options. It's pathetic, and Fosun should be ashamed of themselves. Time to get more banners back out, I think; needs to be wall to wall every game, and how about throwing some balls on like Celtic? It might not make a difference short term, but at least they won't be able to keep ignoring it if it's every game.

Tbf to Rob Edwards, how many points did we have before he arrived? That was with a manager who is deemed good enough by another Premier League club. Not to mention he's lost players in the window. I'm not really sure what people expect him to achieve with a team that was so short of confidence.

I'd give him maybe 5-10 games next season to judge. I don't think any manager we could bring in would have done any better. He's definitely got the team playing and fighting.

Very well said. If Fosun back Rob, he'll get the team promoted. If Fosun don't back Rob, there will be nowhere for them to hide.

Following on from above, just seen the interview with Rob saying we were very good today, we were ok first half but I would not say we were very good.

We've got no identity under RE there dosnt seem to be a method in the madness, if we win the ball we know where its going, backwards. The players don't seem to know where to go moving forwards or runs are ignored. The long (trendy) throws havnt provided. The last goal were opportutist or lucky, Santis knee at grimsby.

Now, we choose Tolu who can't hit a target to take a pen and he rolls it at perfect position for the keeper to collect. Edwards just hasn't got the nous tactically to create, but Fosun will stick with him until we protest to their embarrassment because they see no shame in defeat. They don't care as long as they're rinsing us of cash.

Hughes should have gone BB and I thought the penalty could have been a red, wasn't he denying a goal scoring opportunity.
It seems to me that any chance the officials have to punish us they take, but at least for some opposition they get away with it.
If there was a decent alternative manager out there would they consider coming to us in our position and with our owners? Think this is the problem and will be for some time unless Shi 2 shows something different than Shi 1 which, for the moment at least seems unlikely.

Maybe it is just me, Rob's post match interviews are starting to annoy me now, all happy and smiley, today we played very well, really, is it just me?
Moan and rant over for a bit.

Agreed, Banksy, buddy, it is hard watching these post match interviews where it feels like Rob was watching an entirely different match. I am slightly on the fence with Edwards because I like the guy, and whilst I agree that he's been completely let down in the window I'm just not sure it would make a difference as I'm beginning to worry that Rob just ain't up to the job. For those saying that he'll get us straight back up, it is worth considering his record at Boro.

In his short stint he averaged 1.81 points a game. For context on this, Kim Hellberg has come into the Boro job and, in a debut Champ season, he's managing an average points per game of 2.21 with the same squad! This concerns me as it increasingly looks like whilst Edwards was at Boro they were in fact underperforming if you consider where they currently are. ?
