Tolu Arokadare does not travel with the team to Portugal for the pre-season. A possible transfer on the cards?
12 Jul 2026 15:37:25
Wolves are really interested in Aston Villa's Lewis Dobbin. Southampton are also trying to get the player. Both a loan to buy and a permanent move for about 10 mil are on the cards. He played decent on loan at Preston, has pace and scored doubl digits last season.
1.) 12 Jul 2026 17:08:37
Why Championship player at best. Sign him 3 or 4 year contract, not good enough. Get in PL and Wolves trying to get rid, no chance. Better options out there and cheaper.
2.) 13 Jul 2026 09:43:22
Horses for courses, I feel. The likes of Dobbin could get us promoted. That's our immediate focus. Let's not get ahead of us.
3.) 13 Jul 2026 11:09:11
Deep Throat makes no odds now, as he's agreed to join Southampton for 9mill plus add ons.
4.) 13 Jul 2026 11:28:44
Wolves don't need Dobbin. He's a left winger and the club has signed Said. Rodney Gomes can also cover that position.
Wolves currently need, as a matter of urgency, a new GK and a player to complement Andre.
There should be plenty of movement in the next couple of weeks.
The stupid 5 1/2 week World Cup has messed things up for most clubs. It'll be even worse when it becomes a six-week tournament.
5.) 13 Jul 2026 11:58:11
Not buying this World Cup getting in the way business.
There are plenty of clubs who are actively signing players, even though the players are still at, or have very recently been eliminated from, the World Cup.
Youri Tielemans to Man Utd being a very recent example.
Wolves are not after international superstars, so most likely the players haven't been to the World Cup and are now back in pre-season training.
6.) 13 Jul 2026 12:33:53
Of course the World Cup affects clubs signing players? Are Wolves a League One side trying to sign non internationals from the UK? Are Wolves trying to get rid of players who are Internationals? Are Wolves trying to sign players who are internationals? Has Matt Jackson - a sporting director and ex player - come out and said the World Cup affects players coming in and going out? You know more than Matt Jackson?
Have Man Utd signed a player who has just come back from the World Cup without injury?
The World Cup has 48 teams in it. How many players are there? 600+. 600+ players who will move around the top leagues in the world. The Championship is one of those leagues. Is the Championship classed as one of the most important leagues in the World? You want Wolves to sign a player at the World Cup who does his ACL in the next game? Raul is different.
Wolves had to take a massive risk and sign him or risk losing him. Hence Nathan moving pre World Cup to get him.
Matt Jackson has stated that now clubs are back in training, and the WC is effectively over, players will now start leaving and coming in. You know better? Get yourself to the Mol and take over the transfer dealings. The club only needs Good. Guys got it sussed.
Highly unlikely Wolves are looking at Alfie Flowers and Matty Bloomer from Isn't Life Easy FC, so players coming in will be affected by the World Cup, in one way or another. Incomings are also linked to outgoings.

Of course the World Cup is relevant to us for signing players! Given that we may not sign any World Cup players, transfers have a ripple effect. World Cup players signed by bigger teams than us may encourage those teams to offload other players! And I'm not ruling out us finding a hidden gem at the World Cup either.
To digress, I note that our former wonder boy Fabio Silva had more yellow cards than goals in season 2025/6, like 4 or something! That's him, innit, billed as the future Cristiano Ronaldo. I'm sure Nathan is wary of past transfer blunders.
8.) 13 Jul 2026 13:41:31
As far as I have read, Wolves have targets in mind, but are trying to get some of the deadwood out first.
9.) 13 Jul 2026 13:55:48
Who are the players that Wolves are trying to get rid of?
Jackson, Tolu, Toti, Mosquera, Joao?
Did any of these go to the World Cup? No. So why haven't we managed to get rid of them?
Why have Man Utd managed to negotiate a deal for Tielemans whilst he was at the World Cup? Likewise, Man City and Elliott Andersen.
If we are after players that played at the World Cup, then yes, I agree that the tournament may have an effect, but I very much doubt we are fishing at that particular pool anymore.
10.) 13 Jul 2026 14:15:15
Ice Ice. Not saying I know more than Matt Jackson, but you became very defensive very quickly. What I'm trying to say, and the point you're missing, is that most clubs are now back in pre-season training. Wolves, including Jackson, said the club had already identified their targets, so why haven't these players signed? They are no longer on holiday, so where are they? If we somehow manage to sign anyone who played in the last 16 of the World Cup, then I will happily apologise and say that the World Cup halted progress.
But why haven't the likes of Patterson, Dan Neil, and players of that kind been signed? They weren't at the World Cup and are back in training.
11.) 13 Jul 2026 21:16:01
All this moaning. Trippier and Raul are fantastic signings for the EFL.
No club will beat those signings this summer.
I think Sa and Gomes will stay. They love the club and have always tried to fight, regardless of the team and manager situation. Even if it's just Sa - a Portuguese international in your team at this level is a massive step up.
The issues really depend on Cesar's priorities.
I think we will move to a back 4, so I think every CB will leave this summer.
I think we need three wingers along with Said.
We need pace and technical ability in defence and attack. That has been lacking for 18 months.
And possibly another midfielder and CAM if Lopez doesn't stay.
On the flip side, Cesar may decide to focus on forwards and move Jackson, Tolu, Johnstone, Krejci and Armstrong on.
It's an interesting period, but the club have covered themselves by signing more homegrown players.
Sa
Trippier Bueno Mosquera Bueno
Andre ?
? Mane ?
Raul
Also it's quiet at Molineux, but it's busier than at other clubs at the same time.
The homegrown rule remains as well, so some signings will take longer, especially for homegrown players with the higher fees and complicated contracts.

Cesar Poixito interested in free agent cb Diego Liete. Player is open to move to the West Midlands.
1.) 09 Jul 2026 20:21:53
Cool, is this true?
2.) 09 Jul 2026 20:57:59
No, it is not.
3.) 09 Jul 2026 22:28:02
Wolves were in talks with him before, but now he is going to some Saudi club.
Sorry.
08 Jul 2026 10:44:01
Illan Messlier is a free agent now and Arsenal and Man Utd are reportedly interested in signing him as a backup. Might jeopardize the Johnstone sale as well as blocking us from signing Radek Vitek.
Messlier is a good Championship keeper and I think a really good option for a free agent signing.
1.) 08 Jul 2026 14:03:50
He's not good enough to be a first choice keeper in the Champ. Prone to some shockingly poor decision making and useless with crosses.
2.) 08 Jul 2026 17:08:45
Bully, totally agree. Wolves should stay well clear.
3.) 09 Jul 2026 20:22:45
He used to be my favourite gk in the Championship, but he is very error-prone. Kind of like Kepa now, no wonder Arsenal signed him.
07 Jul 2026 17:18:05
Spurs advancing on a deal for Kwasi Senyah. Wolves will lose another talented academy prospect. He is defensive midfielder currently playing for youth.

I might be getting too optimistic but I am actually really happy that we signed Rafiki Said, cuz we need that type of player in our squad, somebody who is not afraid to take on defenders, isn't afraid to try to shoot the ball.
I know the fee is too much and there might be better players but this guy might just be special.
1.) 12 Jul 2026 11:08:32
Apparently FosunOut fits the attacking style that Wolves now want to pursue, so I for one will applaud that. There's been speculation on here about how effective he might be in English football, but if he's prepared to take players on and can cross a ball then he'll do for me.
We've seen too much playing back and across the pitch in recent years, thank you very much.
24 Jun 2026 11:13:38
Fosun have reportedly put a prove tag of 30 Mil on Mateus Mane.
Thoughts?
1.) 24 Jun 2026 12:13:54
Even though he's very young, that does leave the door ajar a bit for a sale, imo.
2.) 24 Jun 2026 15:30:56
Needs to be double that, but I would keep him, get an experienced midfielder in, and let him learn from him and Raul.
3.) 24 Jun 2026 15:39:43
Will they never learn!!
4.) 24 Jun 2026 19:11:23
Agree, Phimans, but only ££££'s register with Fosun, whether Jeff or Nathan... Same objective, change the name, game's the same, nothing changes.
5.) 24 Jun 2026 23:33:15
Blackbirds, Simple answer... No.
6.) 25 Jun 2026 11:13:48
He is not in the new manager's plans. He probably wants out, thinking he will be replaced.
09 Jul 2026 22:28:02
Wolves were in talks with him before, but now he is going to some Saudi club.
Sorry.
09 Jul 2026 22:27:13
I completely agree with Adam.
07 Jul 2026 15:39:50
Bro this guy...
07 Jul 2026 15:39:13
Ha ha, I get it.
29 Jun 2026 20:27:59
Ed is this rumour true?
