Patricio joined under exceptional circumstances. Hwang had only scored 2 goals In Germany, Neves probably wanted to be reunited with Nuno. Pablo Sarabia had been on loan from PSG so may have not been in the clubs plans.

Both Gomes and Lima could have gone to clubs who have qualified for European competition but have opted for Wolves due to the 'project'.

We're at slightly cross purposes wandering Star, the point I'm making is I would be surprised to see a player join us if he was a guaranteed starter for a champions league club. Many of the names you mention were either promising youngsters who correctly figured that they would get a better shout at a lower level and build from that point, Neves and Jota being examples or experienced professionals who needed a move because they weren't getting a start. Raul was a benchwarmer at athletico if I recall. Rui joined us after fans invaded the clubs training ground.
Don't get me wrong I think younger players are the way to go for a variety of reasons. We'll make mistakes yes, but if a player can do a job for us great, let's consider all options.

Looking at some of the reports, I believe we get a bonus on Coady for Leicester going up, £5m due to Southampton reaching the play off final, and a possible windfall on MGW should Forest sell. That's going to be maybe £10m in total if the MGW move happens.

Harry Kane has been awful in the Euros I think Southgate should bench him and play Watkins as striker. Watkins would add another dimension to the attack and Kane is very one dimensional.
