Sadly a game in which we learnt virtually nothing new.
I was surprised at the positive contribution, not just the effort, of Munetsi and was disappointed at just how poor - and he was very poor - Wolfe was.
Otherwise it was as expected.
Wolves had a 25 min spell before half time when they should have scored at least 1 more. However, poor decision making, overplaying and poor touches meant that several good opportunities were butchered.
Thereafter Wolves offered little going forwards and, especially down the left, were terrible defensively throughout.
If a wake up call was required, this was it.
As they were against Port Vale, Wolves were woefully inadequate defensively, and a better GK and LCB are essential. Ironically as Nuno almost said "the solutions could be within the squad" in Sa and Krejci!
Ratings
Bennett 5 - Should have done better for the first and is probably not a Championship level keeper.
Wolfe 4 - Was destroyed by the Blackburn right side. Was totally unable to stop crosses coming in and should have been subbed off long before half time. Worrying!
Toti 4 - Didn't cover himself with glory for either of the goals. Obviously not good enough and made the argument for keeping Krejci perfectly.
Yerson 5 - Looks like he was seriously injured but did ok before his injury in difficult circumstances.
Trippier 5 - Struggled with the pace and physicality early on but was calm on the ball.
Andre 6 - Didn't dominate as I would have expected as Wolves struggled for much of the game to control the pace and power of Blackburn. Solid enough though.
Munetsi 7 - Faded in the last 30 mins but was far more impressive than I expected. V good goal and impressive work rate.
Mane 5 - Struggled to get into the game and was "bullied" far too easily.
Lopez 7 - Looked good on the ball and was probably the most creative player for Wolves.
Gomes 5 - Worked hard but didn't do enough going forwards.
Armstrong 6 - Had a few moments but, as with the rest of the side, faded in the second half.
Subs -
Raul 5 - Barely touched the ball but scored the, (v lucky to be awarded), pen.
Doyle 5 - Was unable to turn the tide as Wolves faded badly after half time.
Jackson 6 - Pace helped in both directions.
Lima and Chirewa - n/a.

Yes, we were pretty bad last night, but it is early days yet, Abbey, I'll be more concerned if the trend continues. We need some new faces, especially to replace the one in the number 10 shirt. He is like a Duracell battery; he just runs and runs, and eventually runs out and ends up with no end product.
