Opening games of Portuguese League. Porto v Alverca, who have Chiquinho and Meupiyou in their starting eleven. A lot of the build-up featured Meupiyou. I don't speak Portuguese, so not sure what was said. Penalty to Porto in the opening minutes...
goalkeeper caught forward with a flailing arm. Looked worse than it was. Yellow card, and Andre Silva - remember how many times we were linked with him - scores on his return to Porto.

Simonandlaura, as you are probably aware, I have been suggesting Wolves make a signing of this nature for a while now, but he is 36 and will be 37 in Nov, so I suspect that there are younger, equally good options available for similar all in costs. But, if he was signed on a 1 year deal, I certainly wouldn't complain.

I didn't realise he was that old, probs better options out there, or, like u say, get a year out of him, Dennis Irwin style.

Adam Webster available on a free. Still only 31. West Ham had intentions at the beginning of July but still nothing happening. He's had issues with injuries but is believed to be ready for the next challenge.

Webster v good shout.
Mings allegedly available for a modest fee and even better than Webster.
Also, he is a LCB so would allow Krejci to play CM if Wolves don't sign a better option.

We're on the same page, TFIOG. Would like to see Krejci linking defence with attack and chipping in with half a dozen goals or more. The team is taking shape. Impressed with Fer Lopez's performance on Friday. Mane will grow in effectiveness this season. Just need Mosquera to show more maturity and stop arguing with officials.
He will benefit from Trippier's influence and the partnership with Webster, Mings, or the central defender from Peixoto's previous club. Not all gloom and doom. Three more replacements to replace the 5/6 leavers, and we could be fighting West Ham, Middlesbrough, Wrexham, and Burnley for the play-offs one May.
