Well RE's departure is now on the Club's website and the tone of Nathan's accompanying statement seemed to confirm a lack of confidence at the top that he was the right person to take the club in the direction they want it to go.
Harsh as that may be after just 7 months in charge it's encouraging that expectations appear to have been set high and no one is immune from that.
Will the alleged new guy be any better, no idea? But at least the Club have acted to resolve what for many was unacceptable. Has RE simply been scapegoated when the real villain was an appalling window under Jeff Shi last summer? Possibly, but even so the football was pretty turgid most of the time and Wolves appear to be looking beyond the Championship.

For some time now I've described Wolves as a bit of a social club, a nice place to be where we should just be grateful to be in the Premier League, like 17th is good enough. Well apparently no longer so hopefully this news will come as the Club giving notice that failure is not to be shrugged off any longer.

The ambition seems to have been re-kindled after years of decline so I for one have to support that, it would be hypocritical to do otherwise.

Agree with your summary, Long. I am happy that they seem to be acting in a more positive way.
I thought we were in danger of starting the new season playing the same style of football, whatever that was.

Actually, quite impressed that they have reflected on things and made a change. No idea on the new fella. Just hope he plays a positive style and achieves success. We deserve some.

I'm happy that the club have acted and decided to part ways with Edwards, but I am absolutely disgusted in the manner they've gone about it.

The plug should have been pulled immediately after the Burnley game rather than stringing him along.

I doubt they wanted to leave the ship rudderless, Good, so it's probably taken a few weeks to identify and secure a replacement of the type they were looking for. They probably told Mendes to find us someone, as Re will be going at some point.

Rob Edwards should never have been appointed in the first place. If he'd stayed at Boro he may have got them promoted and his stock would be high.
Another costly mistake by the club in paying Boro compensation, and whoever came in at the time wouldn't have had much chance of saving us.
Who knows if Rob could have done well in the Championship with a good transfer window, but I wasn't looking forward to next season at all.

The club have probably made the right decision to part ways with Rob, but as usual have not gone about it in the right way, and it demonstrates how they treat their employees.
