Cav gone to Fulham confirmed.

Wolfypete11

1.) 13 Jul 2019 16:27:28
Yep shame, I liked him a lot, would be good back up for two strikers, but we obviously have some lined up, good luck cav been good servent.

2.) 13 Jul 2019 16:49:52
Best of luck Cav 👍🏿and thank you for everything.

3.) 13 Jul 2019 17:12:14
Gutted Confused Worried
In Nuno and Fosun I trust (gulp)

4.) 13 Jul 2019 21:12:55
Join the club realist. no idea what their messing about at. but it is worrying. just hope they got someone lined up. ⚽⚽⚽.

5.) 14 Jul 2019 07:18:53
So sorry to see Cav go I think he is class but his chances with the shape we now play would be limited to cup games, injuries and appearances as late sub.
I wish you all the best Cav and thank you for playing a massive part in getting us back into the Premier.
I hope you and Fulham smash the championship and look forward to seeing you at the Mol again.

13 Jul 2019 00:14:15
Apparently United knocked back a £14 million bid from an unnamed premier league club today. i'm thinking that was us as we've been in for him before.

Wolfypete11

1.) 13 Jul 2019 01:04:48
Does he have a name?

2.) 13 Jul 2019 11:44:23
£14m won't be a top player either a veteran or someone not getting into the team if it's us I am guessing Mata or Rojo because Smalling not really Nuno type of player

Info from Transfermarkt players around 15m.

3.) 13 Jul 2019 14:54:19
I’d imagine it’s the perpetually injured Rojo.

12 Jul 2019 09:58:00
Looks like Cav is about to seal a loan move to Fulham for the season with an option to buy at the end of the loan.

Wolfypete11

1.) 12 Jul 2019 10:36:03
O dear! Were going to have a smaller squad than last season surely players on way.?

2.) 12 Jul 2019 10:58:50
They will unveil new players in China and the new away kit. I'm not itk, it's just business sense as they need to sell the Wolves brand in China and Asia.

3.) 12 Jul 2019 11:03:50
They will there not stupid.

4.) 12 Jul 2019 11:16:53
Paul Tamworth, i’m With you there mate. Would make perfect sense them unveiling two or three big names in China. Would be huge for them! Personally think deals have been sealed already and they are purely waiting for China to unveil them. As for all the other stuff going on, Fosun didn’t get where they are by making lots of wrong decisions, they are being ruthless because they want to be the best!

5.) 12 Jul 2019 11:22:23
I love Cav - I don't want to see him go.
He's a very versatile forward, a good alternative to Jota starting or from the bench.
A lot of talk about the youngsters coming through and therefore I fear the owners are not going to the transfer market this window. Perhaps they need cash for Thomas Cook (high flyer) . Perhaps Laurie resisted this strategy.

6.) 12 Jul 2019 11:37:28
Perhaps laurie went because were not bringing anyone in?

7.) 12 Jul 2019 12:16:05
Why would he leave if we wernt bringing anybody in, wouldn't affect his job or pay, we will sign some players, just we never know till last minute, no one knew about cav did they.

8.) 12 Jul 2019 13:10:18
To some of you on this site, all I can say is: oh ye of little faith.
After everything Fosun has done since 2106, you still doubt them?

Bit by bit, player by player, we will be upgrading the squad to a nucleus capable of challenging for top six in the PL and staying there. That I believe is our immediate target. Don't forget, we are well ahead in the 10 year plan.

9.) 12 Jul 2019 13:03:06
Incoming we are in talks to buy Thomas Cook. What position does he play.

10.) 12 Jul 2019 13:19:44
I agree northbank cav is way to good to let go unless he has pushed for it due to lack of game time as you say he is good cover for Jota.

11.) 12 Jul 2019 13:21:30
Deep throat, at last the sensible voice of reason. Totally agree mate, just wish all the negative doom mongers could see this. PT I agree with you as well, ideal time to announce signings whilst in China trying to raise our profile. I can feel a couple of big name signings coming that no-one saw coming. Stay positive folks, fosun are going to get us to the top, just may need a little patience. Everything from top to bottom including staff and perks are being changed gradually so nothing should surprise us. Enjoy the ride. COYW.

12.) 12 Jul 2019 14:23:54
I agree with Deep Throat and South Banker. Have patience and have faith. It’s not the bad old Morgan and Moxey days any more lads! OODCL.

13.) 12 Jul 2019 14:27:16
with two senior wingers / forwards gone it’s obvious that’s there’s someone lined up to replace them. Whether they’re unveiled in China or not remains to be seen.

14.) 12 Jul 2019 14:49:38
Clearly there are players to be unveiled. These guys are successful businessmen, they are not going to loan/ sell off players in an area where we have no depth and commit footballing suicide! Fosun are looking to build the club not dismantle it.

15.) 12 Jul 2019 15:30:32
Just a quick one, on Costa cav
Very good players for us, got us where we are now, good luck in there futures.

16.) 12 Jul 2019 15:50:50
No way would we let Costa and Cav go if we weren't brining in players Traore and youngsters not really backup so let's wait and see

Thomas Cook plays on both wings lol.

17.) 12 Jul 2019 19:08:41
And he's got a good engine.

18.) 12 Jul 2019 19:31:24
Players who were being talked about a few weeks ago and then went silent have possibly been signed and not announced.
Why are we hearing so little about Andre Silva?
Gareth Bale (OK, I'm joking with that one)
Edson Alvarez.

Feel so sorry for Bury and Bolton, two founder members of the football league. If every prem club gave them £500k each surely that would secure their safety. I know everyone has their owm club they love but i'm sure none of us real football fans would want to see any clubs go out of business.

Wolfypete11

1.) 28 Aug 2019 09:36:05
Why should other teams subsidize another man's greed?
From what I have read on Burys plight the odious Mr Dale has a lot to answer for and should be made to pay accordingly.
Nobody from the upper leagues came to our rescue when the Bhatti boys nearly ruined us.

2.) 28 Aug 2019 10:21:54
Feel it is very sad - I remember only too well Wolves twice being at the door of expulsion. Bury were not founder members of the football club but have a long history.

3.) 28 Aug 2019 18:47:29
It is very sad for the fans and the towns. Unfortunately being a football club does not protect you from idiot owners and crass mismanagement. Let's hope they reform albeit lower down and have some success.

4.) 29 Aug 2019 08:00:20
They can reform like Newport and work their way back again but it will take years even if their fans stay loyal but good luck to them.

09 Aug 2019 21:38:49
Think we should look at Aarons from Norwich in Jan, be a great back up for Doc.

Wolfypete11

1.) 10 Aug 2019 10:27:43
Yes think that’s a sensible option but I can’t see it happening if he’s playing well he isn’t going to want to come and sit on our bench instead of playing and Norwich definitely won’t want to let him go unless they go down at end of the season but by then his valuation will be silly.

22 Jul 2019 21:43:41
I'm sorry guys but I'm going to come out and say it. I'm very concerned about the lack of transfer activity at the moment and no real links to anyone as it's all specualtion. We have let Hause, Cost and Cav go and Wilson looks to be imminent. We have Crusaders Thursday which I think we will overcome comfortably but the Prem is a different beast. Don't get me wrong I love my club and travel 200 odd miles round teip to have the pleasure of watching them. Just voicing my concern as a devout fan.

Wolfypete11

1.) 22 Jul 2019 23:15:44
We won't know who's coming until the deal is done this has always been Wolves way.
I'm confident we'll see something happen this week.

2.) 23 Jul 2019 11:23:09
Agree with the above comments the transfer activity has been inept. The so called fans who come on here and have a go at other fans for voicing their concerns, don't actually see the bigger picture.

3.) 23 Jul 2019 11:25:45
Nothing will be happening this week or next week or indeed up to and including the transfer deadline.

4.) 23 Jul 2019 12:16:19
Us so called fans SQ get annoyed at people like you as we see the bigger picture also, but choose to wait to see what happens.
Of course you work in all the deals at the club and are aware there will be no signings this window.
Interesting how someone is unhappy at others then claims things they had no idea about.

5.) 23 Jul 2019 12:16:48
Yes because you know it all don't you SQ?
There's a difference between voicing an opinion and moaning.

22 Jul 2019 13:23:04
As a cheaper attacking option what would be your thoughts on Brentford's Maupey? Good with both feet, athletic and strong and knows how to put the ball in the net.

Wolfypete11

1.) 22 Jul 2019 16:55:00
Yes I agree.

Debbie the deal was agreed they just didn't sign the paperwork to get the deal through. We had ageeed a fee and personal terms with Reading and the player.

Let's concentrate on getting Cutrone over the line first! I like the look of Cisse and £40m cheaper!

Agree with PT, left ourselves short. Bought 2 Chinese players just to take one to china to sell shirts. Oxford fans were laughing that we paid for him. Vallejo is known to be injury prone. Cutrone looked good tonight and will be a good asset. We have played 3 games and Doc is carrying a knock (again) so is Saiss and Neves. Jiminez say burn out after a long summer so we have to pray to two from Lazio and the lad from Bayern can step up.

Yes they would Coven but neither will sign nor will anybody else. Doc is injured, Raul is carrying a knock, Neves is carrying a knock. Few injuries and we are seriously in the rubbish. We have had an awful window. 10 odd youth signings who will never see a sniff of first team action.

I'd take both as back up, another centre back an attacking midfielder and back up to Doc, job done.

That is exactly what I said a week or so ago and got cained for it! We need a midfielder who can break the lines and score goals. MGW playing just behind Jota was awful, he gave the ball away every time and shooting was terrible. When he moved back in to midfield he looked far better. I'm surprised Nuno didn't give Ennis or Ashley-Seal a go up front.
