Interested to get everyone’s opinion, realistically where would people now be happy with us to finish the season? At the end of last after the penny had dropped I was thinking and hoping for around 10th, that has changed now unfortunately.

The short answer is that I would like to see the club end the season having survived to play in the Prem next year.
The longer answer is of course still survival but hopefully one that allows a recovery plan - that hopefully has started but if it hasn't, needs to start today - to be rolled out.
Firstly the finances need to be sorted - no club, business, country or even household can survive long term when spending massively more than it earns.
Expenses on non football matters need to be slashed and revenue from non football matters grown - the former should be easy but the later may be harder.
The squad needs to be stabilised and deepened - all within the constraints of the finances - see how important they are!
The new chaps acquired this summer need without exception to be massive successes, (from day 1 actually as survival is seemingly predicated on that somewhat optimistic assumption), and further signings and sales carried out over he next 3 or 4 windows (there is no overnight fix to the last 5 years of Jeff's reign), that improve the quality of the first 11 and depth of the squad.
Somewhere along the line it would also be nice to see the stadium tarted up a bit and possibly slightly expanded - ok that is perhaps the cherry on the cake.
All sounds easy and of course we have seen several teams achieve this over the last few years but it almost certainly isn't unless Fosun are on side with the plan and Jeff is capable of executing it.
My question re Jeff, who I have regularly criticised, is that I can't believe he is deliberately this bad and therefore must be following a different agenda. If he really has been trying, (and failing to the extent he has - £80m pa worse than the guy who runs Brentford for example pre player sales), then I wonder how he finds the stadium each day?

Banksy51 there is a survey on the banter page yesterday @ 11:56:44 to vote for this.
The current voting is 3% above 10th position, 57% 11th- 17th position, 40% relegation.

Sadly 20th and bottom place. There are zero teams/squads worse than ours. Leeds or Brentford perhaps. I just hope VP can work a miracle.

It depends on injuries.

How anyone can seriously think we will finish 10th or even 13th or 14th for that matter is beyond me.
Totally deluded in my opinion and I accept others are entitled to theirs.
Several weeks ago I posted on here that people needed to wake up and smell the coffee. Most have now, but clearly not all.
I really fear for the immediate and medium term future. Relegation (which I think is very likely now) is frankly the least of our worries.
