Months ago I said the club was run by people who don’t know their arses from their elbows. I’ve never been convinced about VP and weeks ago pointed out that the famous 6 in a row was against the bottom six teams at the time. (I got a bit of flak for that). If I can see the obvious surely it shouldn’t be beyond someone at the club. What a f**king embarrassment.

Well that’s 8 prem games in a row now without a win - since the famous 6 in a row in fact and heaven forbid anyone mention the fact that those 6 games were against the worst 6 teams at the time. I mentioned it once and didn’t get away with it.
Championship here we come.
?Bring back, bring back, oh bring back our Nuno to us to us.?
Except he wouldn’t come back because he’s got too much sense.

Get over Nuno, i'm tired of hearing the same stuck record.

2.) 13 Sep 2025 20:25:40
Well said Rated

3.) 13 Sep 2025 20:32:45
Same here Rated RKO. It's over, done, history.

4.) 13 Sep 2025 20:46:06
I have got over him. That last part of my post was just a tongue in cheek dig at those who slag him off for a supposedly poor last season when we ‘only’ finished 13th.
I expect we’ll be dreaming of a 13th place finish in the premiership for the next few years.
The real point I wanted to make was the first paragraph

5.) 13 Sep 2025 23:46:46
Is that a 'dig' at me 3G? Can you show me the post where I 'slag him off'? Thanks.

I did point out that we finished 13th in his last season but that is fact. We also finished 6 places lower than the previous season. Again, fact.

We were also 14 points worse off.

There were other things going on behind the scenes that most fans didn't know about regarding Nunos mental health.

Never have I slagged him off but I also don't like to live in the past. If I did, I'd be shouting for the descendants of Stan Cullis, Billy Wright and Bully to run the club.

6.) 14 Sep 2025 03:00:22
His last season with us was the beginning of our decline he had no plan b.

7.) 14 Sep 2025 06:55:00
Wandering, ‘slag him off’ is/was a figure of speech. I didn’t mean to offend. Apologies if I did. I accept you have a right to your opinion as I’m sure you accept I have a right to mine. It’s a banter site a so a bit disagreement is natural. The first part of my post about the 6 in a row was a bit of a wind up as well. ?. Again no real offence intended.
Part of this comes from frustration and hurt which I suspect we are all feeling at the moment.
Let’s not forget the real ones deserving of our angst is Fosun.
After we are all ‘Wolves Ay We’!

8.) 14 Sep 2025 07:13:22
We all see things differently Rated. My interpretation was that we were flying high and Santo wanted to re-inforce our progress. For their own reasons, Fosun refused to support him in the transfer market. From then, morale dropped and the same with results.
Since then, the pattern has been the same and if results don't change, we will be needing yet another Coaching Team.

9.) 14 Sep 2025 09:14:17
The thing is 3G, although you make some valid points, the people who are 'Nuno back' fail to acknowledge that in Bruno Lages only full season, we finished 10th and he was given no backing either.

10.) 14 Sep 2025 20:59:47
Look at the squad Nuno assembled, that Lage inherited and what has been purchased over the past 12 months. It feels like its the office manager not the team managers that have let the club down as its a slow decline in both quality and aspirations.

09 Sep 2025 10:08:07
Nuno won’t come back and nor should he. He can do better than us with our short sighted and seemingly no longer committed owners. But we should never ‘forget him’ and what he did for us.
The most successful manager since the 70s and the best manager since Stan Cullis.

Nuno needs a club that'll let him manage without the interference of owners, CEO's and Directors of football, not many about in the greed leagues of World football these days, it's all about the money, not the fans or the entertainment.

2.) 09 Sep 2025 18:02:10
Ron Moore, is there such a club?

Also, Nuno is a coach, not a manager. When you come up against the likes of the dominant Forest owner, all you can do is, not poke the bear! If the mild-mannered Nuno came a cropper, I don't fancy Postecoglou's chances!

3.) 09 Sep 2025 19:13:30
Nuno will have to find solutions for another team.

4.) 12 Sep 2025 15:47:41
Nuno had Mendes.

Genuinely serious question - where does everyone think we will finish this season?
My honest opinion is 19th.
I hope I’m wrong of course but I’m feeling similar vibes to the MM/TC season (which was followed by the Dean Saunders season ?).

1.) 01 Sep 2025 21:02:32
12-14th

2.) 01 Sep 2025 21:05:20
I am getting a feeling that we will finish 18th, Us, Leeds and Burnley getting relegated

3.) 01 Sep 2025 21:22:53
I feel quite differently. 10th-12th. Given time everything will fall in to place. There’ll be a lot of expectations on other teams who have spent more.

4.) 01 Sep 2025 21:28:36
Every season since coming up I’ve felt we had a good enough squad to at least mid table, until this season. I don’t see us staying up, relegation this season I think. Since VP came in I think we have only beaten 1 team above us in the league (at the time of the match). Now we are bottom there isn’t anyone to beat!

5.) 01 Sep 2025 21:44:25
Probably around 14-16th. Hoping we do slightly better but Brentford I feel will be down there with a lot of their strike power going. Westham will be down there also.

6.) 01 Sep 2025 22:03:38
Would like to see mid table but can't see where the points are coming from. Even now it seems every game will be like a cup tie.

7.) 01 Sep 2025 22:20:40
15-16th. I think the bottom 4 will include Sunderland, Burnley, Brentford, Bournemouth. We'll probably be just above that in a group with Leeds, Fulham, West Ham, Everton.

8.) 02 Sep 2025 00:17:06
Before Saturdays performance, I had us comfortably in mid table 9th-14th.

But as long as Toti and Hwang are getting minutes on the pitch, we are doomed. So 19th with Toti and Hwang, 9th-14th without them playing.

Woltrmade Is the replacement for Izak but I think Newcastle may be looking at either JSL or Wissa to replace Callum Wilson. They had been in talks for Woltrmade for a while and have still been chasing JSL at the same time.
I mean why offer £60 for JSL today if the Woltrmade deal was nearly done.
Fair play to Jeff so far but it might not be over.

I agree with all 3 of your points tg.
Are there 3 worse teams though? I hope so but I’m not convinced. This season could be an embarrassment.

Not sure how much is left on his contract either. He’ll be going on a free at this rate. Just sell. Get rid. Take the £15M plus £5M in add ons. Negotiate a sell on clause if we are that worried he will eventually come good. Give VP the money to spend and move on. We are staring down the barrel of relegation here guys. Stop effing about and do something before it’s too late.
Actually I fear it already is but at let’s try.

I don’t want to deal with Liverpool anyway after the Jota Hooever ‘deal’. There’s a reason they are offering Elliot - they don’t want him. We should tell clubs who think they can come in and raid our club for our best players that if they want them then they pay our price and cash up front not in instalments.
They want our players they pay our price on our terms.

Don’t forget he won six in a row. ??
And also you might well ask how those same incompetent owners can get rid of a manager who got us to 7th in the prem, a European quarter final and an F.A. Cup semi final…but then that would be because you have forgotten that he had no plan b. ??

NJ, Rince, what are you guys on?
We have no chance of staying up. Avoiding a humiliating points total has to be the aim now.
That and getting some new owners who will stabilise the club in the championship.

Does anyone still think we’ll stay up? WS you reckoned comfortable mid table - do you still think that?
Personally I’m worried we will be humiliated. Less than 20 points on the cards. Hope we can at least beat Derby’s record low of 11.

Might be stating the obvious but Saturday’s game is crucial on several levels.
We desperately need to get some points in the board.
Added to which this is clearly a 6 pointer.
It will also have a big effect on confidence and morale for fans, players, the manager and owners.
A win could be a positive turning point. A defeat would confirm many people’s fears and a draw would just drag out and prolong the agony.
Of course I’m not saying the whole season comes down to this one game but (again stating the obvious) it is absolutely massive.
