Hi everyone hope you are enjoying this weather and the huge amount of bollox in reference to us and potential signings . Personally I'm quite relaxed and trusting VP to build what he wants. On another subject I'm of the opinion Fosun should/must improve the stadium capacity by at least 10k . Would hope this can be done by filling in the corners and development of the south bank .

Hi Nando, as I said in a previous post how far will Fosun's wake up call extend, improving the squad or will they go further and invest in income generating initiatives as you suggest.
Let's hope it's the latter as well as we can't keep selling off our best players to survive.

Hi Nando/LMW,
From what I can gather talking too a 'blue nose' they are building a new 60K all seater stadium, 'AND THE COUNCIL' are working with them on the new roads and transport system (s) in and out of this new stadium. Firstly how can Birmingham council do this. I thought they were 'bust'? and Secondly if this is the case why aren't Fosun and Wolverhampton council having joint talks to see what can and can't be done.

Morning all, I would love to see developments at the Mol, I normally go to the Steve Bull stand, this could do with some modernisation and expansion. Stadium could do with an increase in capacity, as you mentioned Nando 10k about right. Extra tier on one of the stands and corners filled in may get close. Be nice to think that they will invest in squad this summer, achieve a top 10 finish and then invest in stadium. Wow, must of got out of bed on right side this morning.

My biggest frustration with the club at he moment is the lack of communication about increasing the ground capacity / growing revenues, as that is the only way to be sustainable in the Premier League and not fall foul of PSR.
Birmingham Council can do what they're doing simply because they won't be paying for it. BCFC's owners will be paying for everything, all the council will be doing is pushing through the paperwork and benefitting from any future tax growth from the new developments.
In one way it pains me to say it, but the way football has gone over the past 30 years, the only way Wolves could have longevity in the top half of the Premier League - or even possibly remain in the league for years to come, is to sell the soul of the club and leave Molineux for a new ground built outside the "city" with a blank canvas.
The days of family run community clubs in the top flight I fear are over and being replaced by corporate giants who only care about selling merchandise and overseas fan bases.

Football has gone to 'Hell in a handcart' AcleWolf, and as you say to stay and compete in this league we need to follow suit (& v quickly) or we'll get left behind. The money you need to spend on player transfers, wages, etc is obscene really but if that is what success demands then we need to either get off, or get onboard. I'm not one to bash Fosun and Shi, but I do think that they should've bought in other revenue streams by now other than relying on media money. Constantly saying they are looking for new investors is starting to wear a little thin. As an example why doesn't Molineux become a venue for more concerts?
Villa park does!

Basically Wagner at Blues has a background in sport ownership and would know the type of buttons to push with politicians and city officials to sell the benefits of a US sport franchise. He's presumably trying this out in the UK with appropriate modifications. Even after there 7 or so seasons at Wolves Fosun are still doing things the Fosun way.

Blacksford - spot on.

Blackfords has a point, why do we not hold concerts, etc at the Mol? Thing is as well, how are things ever going to change, last few seasons have been the same, sell best/established players, buy in young prospects and repeat. If we are still struggling for money doing this then something has to change. Build a team and consolidate at least mid table, then invest in stadium modernisation and expansion. It does require commitment from everyone involved but at the moment we are stuck.

I think maybe Fosun got fed up dealing with council or there was a roadblock which could not be resolved.
Just hypotheticalizing.

I fear there's a more under the surface problem with Chinese investment given the geopolitical problems in the world. Maybe Fosuns hands are tied somewhat, if that we're the case our club maybe in for a very bleak future unless an enthusiastic new consortium can be found. LA Wolves with a Hollywood link? Bales fronting the Plymouth bid, maybe we're more expensive but we're already in the right place to be a sound choice for anyone looking.
Or will fosun stun us all with their restructuring, actually use some cash to ensure the football we deserve and bring in the money generated from the same?
