If the Everton deal goes through will they have a bounce and leave us stranded. I am struggling to see where we will get points if we can not close out a game we lead at 70 mins. A rider to that is Dyche being sacked by new Year, and possibly us needing a saviour. Sorry, but I am sounding like Bux. ?

I'm still hoping and praying that GON can get us through this mess.

Any 3 from 4 now then, the promoted club that takes most points off us will stay up, they won’t all beat us twice will they?

My question is can we field a Premier League standard defence after failing to replace Kilman and the injury to Yerson. If the answer is no, it doesn’t matter much how good the rest of the team is.

Let's be honest Wimborne every club is going to leave us stranded if nothing changes soon. Just the consequences of the transfer window when imo they had no intention of buying a CH with the ability to replace Kilman or just bring in some cover at least.

Everton on the other hand massively breached FFP take a points hit but will come out of it all with new owners, a new ground and their Premier status intact.

Why do we follow every short period of success with progressive decline? This club needs to become more ruthless both on and off the pitch and stop being penny shy and pound foolish.

Longmynd: You have cited the point that has made me angry over decades, not years: Why after a short period of success do we always then have a prolonged period of decline? There appears to be no right or wrong answer. We should have been in the position that Villa ultimately bagged, but boardroom failure, lack of investment, sitting back while on field and off field questionable activity from other clubs has subverted ours-have all contributed to the demise. Also when relegated, we seem incapable of 'bouncing' straight back like other clubs thus stagnating longer.

It’s a Disgrace what is going on at Wolves! Who is to blame Fosun or those responsible for buying and selling players? GON can not be blamed as he can only select what players he has available but is he the right manager to get Wolves out of this mess? You don’t improve if you sell your best players and buy inferior players. Wolves supporters were hoping for a better season but that will not happen now and it will be a struggle to get results. I fear the worst and it is sad to see Wolves declining.

I think there is a 'right' answer QS and it's an inability to rekindle the 'win at all cost' mentality that gripped the club in the 1950's.

Subsequent owners have either been unable or unprepared to put in what's required to maintain that commitment relying on the ability of the odd Manager or the luck of the right players happening to come together occasionally to get success but that inevitably fades after a couple of years and therefore the club declines.

The drive and leadership in any organisation has to come from the top, if that's gone then game over. What's the matter with these people?

Meupiyou being unavailable until the end of October doesn't help us either.

Hi Guys,
Not sure no blame can be pointed towards GON, afterall he is the head coach and he must have had some input into the players we bought in. As an example didn't Pedro Lima join because GON sold him the idea of how he would develop at Wolves? Also we were leading in the last two matches and then lose both due to very poor defending. We run out of steam and allow teams to come onto us, don't maintain the same energy levels, don't make appropriate subs at the right time, don't finish teams off when we're on top, play stupid tippy happy football in and around the opponents box allowing them to regroup. That's not Fosun, that's the coaching staff surely.
