Hearing Jordan James is waiting for Crystal Place
Hope it’s not true, but his agent Unique Sports Group have a very close connection with Steve Parish.

Was he at Wolves game, as so many said would be the case?
Confirm or otherwise. If not then I think it is highly unlikely that he will be signing.

Wolves will be hoping that another club bids for him, as it will save them spending any money. They can then use the excuse of "we tried but a Premier League club came in". If Wolves really, really wanted him, and he really, really wanted to come, it would have been done by now.

??Alarm Bells should be ringing ??
This squad is not good enough for top 8 of the championship.
The deadwood must be moved on: Johnstone, Toti, Mosquera, S Bueno, Krejci, Wolfe, Doyle, Traore, Bellagarde, Hwang, Tchatchoua, Sasa and Hoever.
Just loan them out sell some at a discount move them on they are draining the club and stifling our rebirth.
Three months wasted Nathan Shi, Jackson and Cesar need to get out of cuckoo land.
We need a complete rebuild at CB, CM and our wide forwards.
As I've said we need pace in all three positions. But they lack of guile and technical ability on show tonight these players aren't good enough.
Transfer targets for a squad that will compete to go up:
GK-Keep Sa don't waste time
GK-Ruddy keep home grown quota up
RCB-Alleyne City or Phillips Spurs on loan both homegrown
LCB- Arrey Mbi Braga
CB-Webster free homegrown
CM-James Rennes Homegrown
CM-Braganca Sporting Ambitious move but one that could really set the tempo of our play. Also due to injury his place may have been lost at Sporting.
CM-Casares Gil Vincente maybe the sort of player to protect the new cms. Used to Cesars style and could move the ball faster. Plus he is a master of the dark arts in that he is competitive and is on the front foot.
FW-Dibling loan Everton homegrown
FW-Tyrique George loan Everton homegrown
FW-Monga Loan City homegrown
FW-Andre Luis Olympiacos
FW- Patrao Braga
FW-Varela Benfica
FW-Jota Celtic may be worthwhile punt. May fancy a new challenge
FW-Vivaldo Semedo Watford
These are vital that we get the deadwood moved on and we sign the players we need to be the best in the championship and to be ready to further develop in the prem.
So Wolves yes Wolves can you get your heads from up your you know what. And make some decisions and be all the adjective that you used to celebrate Wolves 150 years.

Won't get that many in now, only maybe 2 or 3. I think it's too late, should have started earlier. Hopefully J James comes in. I noticed you didn't mention Fer, and he's class.

You talk of living in cuckoo land and then proceed to call multiple first eleven players 'deadwood', as well as suggesting multiple possible signings that would never happen.
In reality, the first eleven needs a quality CM to play alongside Andre, a CB, and a winger at minimum.
The club aren't going to look to sell, as you suggested, 3 of the 4 players playing in defence last night at this stage of the window. It's not feasible. We need quality additions to the eleven and more options off the bench in attacking areas.

That's the problem with that mindset, we won't get anywhere. We are rinsing and repeating the past 3 years' worth of mistakes.
That first team last night was mainly a team of squad players.
Trippier, Andre and Raul are first-team players.
Lopez and R Gomes haven't done enough for me. Yes, a jinking run and an odd goal is okay.
But neither have been consistent at Wolves.
Sounds harsh, but it's a reality check.
Name a run of games where R Gomes has played 15 games in a row. Maybe under Vitor, I'm struggling. Not saying I'm not sympathetic to injuries, but we have to start saying what's right for Wolves and the club. Same with Mosquera, another injury after last night. He isn't good enough.
I predict 12th-16th place with this team if we continue blind, with 2-3 changes as you predict.

Sounds great in theory, but your outlook isn't a viable option at this stage. And I don't agree. 3 quality signings would not leave us in 12th. We'd be looking up, not down with a few quality additions.
15 Aug 2026 12:56:15
Hasn't Alleyne just signed for Burnley on loan?
15 Aug 2026 14:54:57
Fer will do enough if we get him on the ball. He's a class act.
16 Aug 2026 09:18:02
FosunProject2ndGen - 12th - 16th. That has to be a wind up, and well done on getting a reaction.
Raul and Armstrong will both get close to or over 20 goals. Fer Lopez, Munetsi, and Mane will all get double figures, and others will chip in. A team with over 70 goals is going to be much higher than 12th. Without any new signings we're better than that - with 3 signings, maybe 4 if Sa goes, we'll have another RW, Said returning on left wing, a creative mf such as James, and a new cb, and our squad will be way stronger than most in the division.
It's looking likely one of Krejci or S Bueno will still be here, hence only needing one new cb, as Mosquera, Djigga, and Toti are decent options at this level, although Toti is a worry in a four at the back.

Sorry Goodwhileitlasted1, I missed that on Friday. Good player missed. Philips or Webster would be great upgrades.
Flea, we conceded two and should have conceded more to a relegation tipped Blackburn at home.
I agree Raul and Armstrong could score goals, but it is the forwards around them I'm worried about. Let's say they score 35 goals, do you think the rest of the team will score 35 goals right now?
It's not just the scoring goals, our cbs are a calamity waiting to happen. They have no pace nor technical ability. Mosquera's long throw to Armstrong is pointless, it didn't work last season.
I respect your optimism, but I disagree. I'm usually one to back them, but this squad is far too slow and lacks the technical ability to get promoted. And they are far too inconsistent to boot.
I don't rate any of the cbs. I think we are filling ourselves with false confidence. Krejci and S Bueno were poor last season, but they were the better cbs we had. That shows how bad we were, and still are. They conceded 68 goals last season, with 10 men defending most games.
