Well folks, today is the day. Will it be the day when we claw ourselves to the top of the pile at least for a little while? Why not, I say.Without hope where would we be?

It's a nice thought Old but in my opinion we have the toughest fixture of all those around us. I cant see 'boro losing to Watford or the Baggies to Milwall.
Wrexham' away is tricky especially with them fresh from their victory over 'boro but you never know in this division. Having said that if Wolves do come away with the points, irrespective of other results I can see us moving to the top at some point in the near future.
In all the clammer for a Jimenez replacement it appears the solution may have been hiding in plain sight. Neave has impressed me, his strength and positional play points to him being a natural striker, like a young Jimenez or John Richard's even.
So fingers crossed for all the right results later to give us all something to cheer.

I was factoring in our early kick off time Long hence my reference to a little while. At this stage of his career I'd say Neave is more of a poacher than an all round centre forward but obviously he very much has time on his side.

Be nice to get a good result just before the international break AGAIN!

Well CP has confused me with the team selection, toti, tchoutchou, dieja back tho!.
At least Rodrigo Fer and Mane starting with Armstrong. Interesting but somewhat worrying R and L back areas, let's hope they play to their best.
Gonna be tough but COYW.

Looking like the Jimenez transfer might have been clouded by sentimentality. As great as he was for us originally, sadly now, even when fit, he can only be an impact sub. Sometimes clouds do have a silver lining, young Neave is starting to produce the form we were hoping for now that he has been given the opportunity.
No doubt though, we need to recruit a striker in January: somewhere in between a seasoned old master like Raul and an up and coming youngster like Neave. Maybe Che Adams could do the job for half a season and even be useful from the bench if we get promoted.

When fit again Deep he'll be leading the line again I'm sure. Until we splash the cash (If!) he's by far our best all round centre forward even though his best days are behind him.

As of today, 3 weeks after surgery, Raul has a leg brace on. He won't be hitting the ground running in January. Given his age and this injury I can't see him being an automatic starter again.
