Or maybe he just picked up a knock, it happens. He's not trained with his country on the first few days (gym work only) cause he wasn't up to it. I'm not saying that he won't jump at the first chance to leave but I think he's in for a reality check cause we paid top price for him which is precisely why other clubs won't pay it.
He needs to get his head down cause the only way to justify said price is to start putting a decent run of games together.

Not that simple though is it, we bought him for £26m and we were offered £18m two months later! Fosun might be stupid be even they realised that was a terrible deal! Oh and it was on loan, so no guarantee of a sale and little money up front.
So essentially it would have been letting one of our best players just leave for almost two thirds of what were still paying off for him, business like that is precisely what has got us to where we are.
