He's 33 and wasn't good enough to get game time at Wrexham or Leicester. That should tell you about all you need to know.

Bring him back as a coach and put him through his badges. Be great for either first team or the younger levels.

Why are you assuming he wants to hang up his boots? He's only 33 and entirely capable of getting a playing contract elsewhere. He might just have to accept an option in League One.
