I think Genoa or Torino, or some other Italian side, was interested in taking Jackson Tchatchoua on loan, earlier this window, but the talks didn't progress. Now CP has given Jackson a "surprise Wolves reprieve". I know Jackson is a good player and brings some pace into the squad, but I feel loaning him out would be the better option in the long run. He will be able to perform better in an environment in which he is comfortable in (Serie A), and maybe it increases his transfer value or even better, he comes back a much better player.

Right now, I think Pedro Lima should be the main backup to Trippier; He'll be able to learn from him and develop much more. I also think this is the ideal case in which he could be getting more minutes in the squad.

PS: Jackson Tchtaoua coming off the bench as a rw/rm doesn't inspire much confidence in me.

To be honest, if Jackson isn't even up to playing in the Champ, then they are better off getting rid now. He'll be 25 this year. If he isn't up to the Champ at this point, then he never will be.

Jackson showed what he is capable of against Arsenal last season. The problem was that VP and RE continually played Jackson and Arias out of position, so we never saw the best of them. Hopefully, Cesar has seen something in Jackson and will use him properly.

Being out of position doesn't make players pass badly. Tchatchoua wasn't played out of position anyway, and he was reluctant to exploit his pace.

Maybe being played out of position was a bad choice of words. But when he was on the right side of the field, with space ahead of him against players he could easily outpace, rather than give him the ball, the tactics seemed to be to pass backwards and allow the opposition to reset their defensive line.
