Worst case scenario for the Blackburn game:
GK: Dan Bentley
RB: Kieren Trippier
RCB: Santiago Bueno/Nasser Djiga
LCB: Toti Gomes
LB: David Moller Wolfe/Hugo Bueno
DM: Andre
CM: Tommy Doyle
RW: Rodrigo Gomes/Hee-chan Hwang
AM: Fer Lopez/Mateus Mane
LW: Rafiki Said
CF: Raul Jimenez
——
Possible substitutes:
GK:? or Dan Bentley
RB: Pedro Lima
RCB: Yerson Mosquera/Nasser Djiga/Santi Bueno
LCB:? or Toti Gomes
LB: Hugo Bueno/David Moller Wolfe
DM: Boubacar Traore
CM:? or Tommy Doyle
RW: Hee-chan Hwang/Rodrigo Gomes
AM: Fer Lopez/Mateus Mane
LW: Hee-chan Hwang
CF:? or Adam Armstrong or Hee-chan Hwang

RCB is a difficult position to fill because Santi Bueno doesn't have much pace, and pace will be needed in that position. Mosquera is a quick player, but he's a lunatic. That means Nasser Djiga.
LB surely must be Moller Wolfe if he stays and Peixoto uses a back four. This position is interesting. If Peixoto is switching between two or three formations, surely there is space for both Wolfe and H Bueno. H Bueno won't struggle with defending in the Championship.
AM position should be either Lopez and Mane. Surely Wolves will only sign for that position if Fer Lopez leaves?
RW/LW/CF back up positions show how important Hee-chan Hwang is.

A new GK will relegate Bentley to the position of back up goalkeeper.
A new LCB will give Toti Gomes competition and take a few games off him.
A new CM will either give Doyle competition or push him into a back up role.
Boubacar Traore will likely be Andre's back up.
Rodrigo Gomes can play LW and RW and I think Mane can cover both positions. Hee-chan Hwang can certainly fill both positions. I'm sure Armstrong can play as part of a forward three behind a CF.
If Peixoto switches to a 4-4-2 then the only difference will be a CM or AM will be dropped for a CF. Adam Armstrong or Hee-chan Hwang will play the CF role alongside Raul. Armstrong will play a lot of games as Peixoto switches between 4-2-3-1 and 4-4-2.
Adam Armstrong's back up should be Hwang, though that isn't a major talking point due to Peixoto's preference for 4-2-3-1. Hwang will get games due to his ability to play in multiple positions.
I've seen it written that Wolves might still utilise five at the back

I'm assuming Sa, Johnstone, Tchatchoua, Krejci, Munsetsi, Tolu and Sasa Kalajdzic will leave. It would be nice for Sasa to stay at the club, but Wolves seem to be looking for a young CF to play as Raul's back up. It also looks as though Sasa doesn't want to stay.
Things don't look too bad regarding the Wolves team going forward. I might have missed one or two players.
Does all this mean that Wolves only need a new GK, LCB, CM, CF?
Shoot me down in flames if I've made any mistakes or contradicted myself.

Are Andre and Doyle a little short to give a commanding midfield?

It's all ifs and buts, who and wherever, whenever at the mo, nice one. Let's see what we've got in a couple of weeks' time before we start thinking of team sheets.
A lot can happen between now and KO.

Nice one, "Nice one Franco".
V similar to Chewy below.
Agree, not too bad going forward. I think Armstrong might play off of Jimenez instead of two wide players, but pretty, well, very weak elsewhere.
However, perhaps, like you, as you state, "worst case", I just don't believe that the club will go into the season like this.
If they do sell the players you assume, there will surely be money to strengthen what is a side that I think will struggle in the very physical Championship.

"Worst case scenario". Open your eyes, Abbey.
Forgot poor Bellegarde. Worst case scenario, either he or Doyle will start next to Andre.
Raul's work rate is immense, so he'll spend a lot of time coming deep to get the ball moving forward. If Bellegarde starts next to Andre, Raul's style of play would make Bellegarde almost redundant.
