The average Shirt Sponsorship deal for a Championship team is worth approx £2.5m to £5m.

Wolves new deal with Midnite is worth £1.5m.

Is it a short term deal? Might be one year only.

It is only a 1 year deal, but still below the average.

What's your source? Best I could find says the average is between 0.5 - 2.5mil. So it sounds about right to me. You also need to consider the value is affected by the size of the fan base, etc., so, unlike what some think, we aren't the biggest club in the Champ. Or maybe our fans are a bit tighter with their cash, so less value for the sponsors.

It just seems like more criticism for the sake of it than any actual truth that we aren't getting the best deals we can.

My only gripe is that it's with another gambling company, not necessarily because they are preying on the weak-willed, more just because there are so many and it's all a bit boring. Although I suppose Midnite is aesthetically better than Debet, or W88 etc.

I thought Midnite was a computer game. Hopefully, the one-year deal says that Wolves are getting promoted at the first time of asking.

Promotion will bring a three-year £300 million sponsorship deal with Starlink.

Could be, Ice. I thought it was the one with the weird adverts of people with veins pulsing in their heads.

I read it online earlier.

The article has been altered since I read it earlier, but I've cut and pasted what I could find:

Following Wolves' recent relegation from the Premier League, their commercial leverage for a front-of-shirt sponsor naturally adjusted to Championship market rates.
The Step Down: For context, Wolves' previous Premier League front-of-shirt deal with Debet (signed in 2024) was worth just under £10 million per year.

Championship front-of-shirt sponsorships for clubs pushing for promotion typically command between £1.5 million and £4 million per year, depending on bonus structures for securing promotion back to the top flight.

Thanks Gwil, I wonder if we have a bonus structure to make it more? And, it makes more sense, being clubs pushing for promotion, that can achieve higher value. The values I posted were for all Champ sides, so bringing the average down a fair bit.

I guess we are still at the low end of clubs aiming for promotion, of course, who knows if that will actually be the case.

Sponsorship means sweet FA if you've got no team. Let's see what happens on the playing side under Edwards. I've always loved my Wolves, but I really don't hold much hope with Edwards in charge. Hope I'm wrong, but doubt it...
