I was looking forward to watching the full game but all that did was re-kindle my initial thoughts about Re, tactically, that was a capitulation. They were allowed to control everything beyond our penalty area, constantly inviting shots and crosses in.
I know that our squad has been totally vandalised by Shi 1 and the owners but with just one midfielder out we totally surrendered that area and constantly formed up deep while continuously punting the ball forward back to them.
This simply invited them on wave after wave until the inevitable happened and we collapsed defensively, but then did nothing about it until we were 3-0 down.
Keeping it to 0-0 at half time by doing that is one thing, but unless you come out second half set up to go forward and build on that the outcome is inevitable and so it transpired.

It was poor, to say the least. For us, as Wolves supporters, it was poor, but also as a spectacle for TV viewers. We're not going to win many admirers playing like that in a one-off cup game, unlike Wrexham, who I thought gave it a real go against Chelsea.
Yes, they lost like us, but they at least went on the offensive, where we were just too defensive, hoping for a piece of luck to get a breakaway goal. Very frustrating after recent results, but I guess we're becoming used to it now.
