I think after last night's poor showing, fosun need to take stock of where our club is heading, which if we're not careful is back to the championship.
You can accuse me of over dramatising this, but I think Bruno is out of his depth and without a plan going forward.
Our play is turgid, too many sideways passes, nobody who can get to the byline and put a decent cross in, not that there's anyone there to take advantage of it, and with the exception of Neves, nobody who seems to have any urgency.
We now have a striker in jiminez who looks lost, who seems to move away from play instead of being in the middle of it, which to some extent you can understand after the horrific injury he suffered,we are left with no goal threat at all, let's hope Sasa has got his scoring boots on, because we need them.
For me, Bruno has to go, before a relegation scrap is upon us because I don't think we will survive one with him in charge.

I think many fans are starting to think the same bigcheese68. Bruno has asked for patience but the one thing you don't get in the Prem is time. We've only actually introduced three new players so not really a revolution but we have lost three experienced ones.
Having said that we were disappointing with them and we're just as disappointing now. We have some world class players but still the same old story, it can only be tactical, playing style, call it what you will.
Personally, I expect more of the same against Southampton and I doubt that the introduction of a new striker will make much difference, because of the way we're trying to play. What's the point in having a 6ft 7" striker if the wide players keep passing back from the by-line rather than get crosses in. If Lage addresses that assuming he'll play the new lad then ok we move on win lose or draw, but if not, then it will be blindingly obvious where the problem is.

I think Lage is on borrowed time. I get the calls for patience and yes some players need to settle in, but Lage doesn't seem to be able to manage the games. You can be given all the time in the world but when you are so slow with subs that the fans have to chant to make a change, you're in hot water.

If the club do get rid of Lage though, and I think they'll give him a few more games, there has to be a clear plan on who is coming in. We can't have a Walter Zenga or Terry Connor situation again.

So who would we want in charge, and who do we realistically think we could get?
