Wolves have made significant progress to sign Nigerian 6'6 striker Tolu Arokodare, but it has been learnt that manager Vitor Pereira prefers Yuri Alberto. Any thoughts?

Take anyone at this point, also if we’re keeping strand possibly better to bring a 6”6 player off the bench if we need a goal just because of his arias threat than it would be to bring a smaller player. However on the other hand I trust vitro more than the club. Are we making any moves towards alberto?

Be great to get both in Adam_Wolves. Someone mentioned bit late to sign anyone from S.America, think we stay up if we get both.

alberto ahead of strand, all day long . at half the price and for us to be stuck with a player in larsen who wants to play for another club, why would you do that?

alberto can also play on the left wing, an area we don’t have anyone (arias and lopez both prefer the right) . for these reasons, I cannot see the purpose of hanging on to strand larsen, other than the fact its a safer option and the happy clappers can all go arm in arm together

I know we were linked with him time ago but are there actually still any links with Yuri alberto? Also, any news on how the other guys medical is going/ has gone?

Given the complexity of club to club transfers, I think it is highly unlikely that any English club would be able to close a transfer for a South American player before deadline day……especially Wolves!

Larson suffering with an ’injury’. Really hope he starts tomorrow as I worry this is the start of him pushing a move/throwing toys out the pram.

For people saying alberto ahead of strand larsen, I need to remind you that larsen is a player who has already adapted to the premier league, scoring 14 goals in his first season. Getting a player from South America so late in the window and not even playing pre-season with the team will make it very difficult for him to adapt

alberto and periera rekindling their love affair is a question of when, not if . I really hope it’s this window ‘coz we need him right now .

In what way is JSL throwing his toys out of the pram?

Regardless of what happens the end to this window is exciting! Feel like we will bring in a few more quality players but expect a big outgoing to go along with it.

@Derry if you read it again, I wrote ’I worry’, I did no say he is. I’m speculating that that could be the case. He clearly wants to move and suddenly he has a knock. Wouldn’t be the first player to push for a move.

Why is it either/or. VP seems to want a big centre forward with 2 creative forward/winger/attacking midfielders (depending on phase of play) in support, therefore Tolu would be the ideal competition for JSL with Sasa departing.
On this basis I expect that if either Alberto or Amoura did sign they'd be replacement for Hwang playing alongside Arias with Lopez deputising. They are probaly bieng looked at again with the collapse of the Uche deal!?

Would Alberto pass a medical has he's just had a groin injury and is currently on injured list. Got to be careful with signing players as they will have to contend with Afcon in January

Strand Larson is a top pro with a great attitude. He knows if he goes to Newcastle he would be mainly on the bench, I don't see him pushing for a transfer as he knows he will if he works hard this season and keeps banging in goals get a move to champs league team in summer.Alot of rubbish spouted over the whole Isak thing driven by the media.i would love it if Liverpool don't bother in the end.Transfer window needs to close before season starts, unfair to smaller clubs as more power to the big six.

After Woltemade deal is almost finalized, I personally don't think that JSL would want to go to Newcastle, as it would mean sitting on the bench. He is a great player and hasn't been demanding an exit by missing training, as was the case with Nunes. Can't blame him for trying to progess in his career. Fair play to Jeff, who helped block newcastle's advances.
