Unless Wolves have a proven goal scorer ready to sign then they should not be letting JSL go for any amount. We do not score enough goals and at the moment he is our only hope.

After his 2 goals last night I can see newcastle going to 65+ exwolves, do you think we'd be fools to reject it, or will we see the club holding fast for fear of relegation struggles?
I can only see jsl going if I'm honest.

Last season was our 3rd most goals in the prem.
Its a fallacy we don't score goals 3 of the last 5 seasons we scored more goals than under Nuno.
Don't get me wrong we should replace JSL with two forwards that are equally if not better than JSL.
Every year we need a striker its boring

Keep an eye on the Wissa Brentford transfer story. Newcastle playing more than one horse.

They need them both, Izak will never play for Newcastle again

Madman what makes you think we can just 'replace JSL with two forwards that are equally if not better than JSL'? Logic dictates that this would cost 2x the fee that we receive for JSL. If that was so simple Newcastle would just buy one of those two players and save themselves some cash! Besides which we'd have 4 days to convince the clubs to sell and convince the players to come here, MADNESS!

JSL is a proven goal scorer in a top league, the going rate for those is £65-£75mil (Cunha, Mbeumo, Pedro, Gyorkes, Sesko).

You are right on one thing goals haven't been our undoing in previous seasons that's been goals conceded, but this is this season where we only have JSL as a proven source of goals due to selling Cunha etc.

With both Hwang and Sasa being used last night suggests that the probability of JSL leaving is real, only a matter of time.

Molineuxway I think there are a few options to be fair.
Sorloth would replace a JSL type target man.
With Krejci signed on loan that means we have more money for this summer.
And with the sale of Silva for £21m then I think we still have scope for a forward.
Aghehowas release clause is around £86m but I think he would go for £60m. Silvas was supposed to be a lot more aswell. Plus Porto have signed Sainz and De Jong this window as forwards.
So I reckon Aghehowa and Mora are leaving one way or another.
Yuri Alberto has been left out of recent Corinthian squads so I reckon he may be on the move and is liked by Vitor. A deal around £50m may swing that one.
In amongst it all is Abline, Aklioche and Rayan who I think could move but are either waiting for other clubs Aklioche and Spurs. Or were waiting for Hwang and Silvas future o become clear if Dortmund and Palace got the deal over the line.
All interesting and I think there is a shock deal to be done by us before the window ends.

sorloth and harvey elliot would be perfect in filling in the front gaps . both would be relatively easy deals to make after the JSL windfall . instead of that, the club will fanny around until the last second as an excuse not to bring anyone else in . these owners are tightfisted and completely negligent .

Madman there's as many 'options' as there are strikers in the world, and if I was playing Football Manager or Fifa I may consider some of them. In the real world though these deals take a lot of time negotiating through multiple intermediaries.

Take the Aghehowa deal for instance, Porto own 65% of his contract, Atletico the rest, that's a lot of moving parts, ignoring the more obvious issue; JSL is valued at 30mil, Aghehowa 50mil.

Or Sorloth, is 30mil for a nearly 30 year old on £110k per week good long term business, and would he come?

p.s. Madman. I couldn't believe the 4 person conversation that was occuring on here during last nights match, hypothetically selling JSL down the river and replacing him with Sorloth, Yuri Alberto, Aghehowa, Amoura, Abline, Rayan, Harvey Elliott, Aklioche etc. Remind me, what did JSL do next?

Don't be daft Molineuxway we would be tripling his value in 8 weeks.
As I have said as long as replacements are in place I would saction the sale. I didn't say I would sell regardless.
They played West Ham reserves defence and goal keeper last night its hardly difficult to score past them at the moment.
Its a four way conversation on what would be best for the club.
I think the club are in the market for a forward to would it be that difficult to sign another? They are probably in talks with 4-6 players.

The same posters that want to triple Larson's value will be the first complaining that Fosun are asset stripping the club or that the replacement striker isn't scoring enough goals and it's because it wasn't their choice of player.
