With the changes now made to our starting 11, assuming VP sticks to it, can we start to gain points and climb the table? I am more optimistic now, difficult to be less before the last 2 games. Just hope VP sticks with Santi and Krejci, I don’t want to see Toti or Agbadou starting any games for a while. I believe Munetsi and Bellegarde played well v Spurs but Hwang again poor. VP must love Hwang, I understand to some extent with Munetsi as he always gives everything but Hwang I don’t get, surely he has to be replaced, R. Gomes makes sense.

It's a difficult one this Banksy, I agree with you, but, and it's a big but in my opinion, krecji and more importantly Santi have to play with the effort and passion consistently.
Munetsi always puts in the effort, bellegarde is on and off. Hwang as just become a name on the team sheet for some reason, and yea Rigardo must be wondering what he's got to do to get a start.
There seemed to be an understanding with krecji santi Doc and Hugo and maybe Johnstone had more confidence because of it.

Well Saturdays performance confirmed a few things for me.
1: We played better without Hwang
2: Our defensive structure is poor when Toti plays.
We looked so much better playing with a flat back 4. The question is do we play 442 or 433?
442 would be Tchatchoua, Krejci, Mosquera and Bueno and allow Arias who is predominantly a right winger, although he was excellent playing on the left, on the ring wing, Rodrigo on the left with Andre and Joao in the middle and Tolu and JSL up front
433 would allow for the back 4 to be Doc, Mosquera, S Bueno, H Bueno. Playing in front of them would be Krejci with Andre and Joao in midfield and any 2 from Bellegarde, Arias, Lopez and Rodrigo supplying JSL or Tolu.
Munetsi and Agbadoou are not bad alternative in either formation but I repeat, Toti and Hwang should be nowhere near the 1st team.

I watched the replay of the game and replays of replays.
Although I don't think he should be on the field much, if at all, Hwang wasn't terrible. He started pretty good, but then his involvement dropped as the half went on. He had a terrible pass on an attack that turned into a goal opportunity for Spurs. I think his reaction to that turnover determined VP to make a change. Bellegarde added some energy.
Santi had a great game. He was hustling all over the pitch. Even after the tying goal he made and impressive tackle on the right side, made a perfect pass to Munetsi (I think) in middle and then made a good run to the right wing all alone. Unfortunately the ball was distributed over to the left side into traffic. The goal against was not his fault, he was marked to back of the player who laid the ball off. It was just an unfortunate great shot by Palhinha. Johnstone didn't have sight so he had no chance.
I like Doc, he is smart, but when opponent has a pacey winger, he struggles to keep up at times. That led to his YC with a reckless tackle. Bringing Agbadou on was the right call. Agdabou played ok.
Jackson needs to be starting on the right. His pace causes trouble and he is aggressive and willing to make crosses into the box. If we put both JSL and Tolu together, those crosses will be converted to goals.
The 1st half we got lucky a few times as Spurs almost had a couple of goals. But we dominated the 2nd half, better possession and more offense and less sitting back on our heels.
I still think we are working on our best 11 and formation, but it is getting closer.

WS. Whilst I agree that Hwang should be dropped, probably for R Gomes or Bellegarde, I thought we played much better after the subs in a back 5. No surprise really as the players have been recruited specifically to play that system. For example we don't have defensive fullbacks, they're all very much wingbacks.
I'd like to see the majority of the team keep their place, certainly Munetsi and S Bueno. But I can't see how Doc, Mosquera, Lopez or Hwang can start on current evidence.

Molineuxway I didn’t realise we went to a back 3/5, didn’t watch 2nd half. How do you expect us to start our next game, think it Brighton we have a terrible record against them, about time we won ?

So long as he keeps sam in goal its a start.keep with the back4 system.hwang needs to be dropped.i like the idea of the 2big men upfront.but jsl needs to get upto speed asap.and surely the l.o.a. sez we beat brighton this time?

Good opportunity to get some points on the board in the next few matches. Personally I'd like to see us in a 4-1-4-1;
Johnstone
Jackson, S Bueno, Krejci, H Bueno
Andre
R Gomes, Munetsi, J Gomes, Arias
JSL
However I think we'll go back to 3-4-2-1, in that scenario the strongest team is probably;
Johnstone
Agbadou, S Bueno, Krejci
Jackson, Munetsi, J Gomes, H Bueno
Arias, R Gomes
JSL
Any thoughts?

Ah here we go gents, another bored wum. Makes me genuinely sad that these guys have nothing better to do than post just to try and wind people up! He knows Ali can't be registered but just like when (likely he) kept posting about Tanganga before I guess it's just helps time tick by! Like I say just sad really ?

Old school 442 for me:
Johnstone
Jackson, S Bueno, Krejci, H Bueno
R Gomes, Andre, J Gomes, Arias
JSL, Tolu
Similar to Wandering but def no Mosquera
Still leaves Doc, Munetsi, Bellegarde, and a couple of others to help out when needed (NOT Toti or Agbadou until they’ve pulled up their big boy pants!)

Those who are criticising Hwang should take a look at our squad from 21/22, players he's playing with now don't compare.

That may be the Ron, but how do you explain his inability to pass or run into spaces?
