The business is almost certainly going on behind the scenes. Patience.

We can't really answer that until towards the end of the window 123North Street as Wolves usually sell early but seem to take their time when buying, unless like Xmas when the relegation threat was clear and present.
I've learned to forget rumours as they rarely happen, as Wolves make surprising purchases of players seemingly out of the blue.
On a related issue I finally listened to Jeff's podcast on Football Business and frankly I'm not sure why so many took the hump as I heard nothing that I didn't already know or at least suspected.
The comment that most took umbrage over was Jeff implying that the club had struggled due to his lack of attention and focus. If he lacked attention so did Fosun as they are one and the same thing, so in truth that's what happened.
Are we seeing a reset, a re-engagement from the owners, the recent restructuring implies the start of some new initiative but will transfer policies really change? What is apparent is that Jeff (Fosun) sees the club through the eyes of an owner not a fan, the two being very different.
His job is to communicate this reality and explain Fosun's thinking to get both parties back onto the same page. I think both he and Fosun want Wolves to do better even though mistakes had been made, but they don't plan on spending 100's of £M's to achieve that.
Personally, I think the 10 year project has become a 30 year one.

Long - excellent post!
Perhaps the fact he is speaking in a foreign language also should be taken into account when drawing conclusions.
I am far far from a fan and he/Fosun have made many serious errors over the last few years - costing Wolves/them millions if not hundreds of millions in lost revenue and capital value - but I am hoping, (best I can offer), that this summer will see a reset.
He is also correct to say that Wolves won't spend multi millions as they simply aren't allowed to - even if Fosun were willing to!
The 10 year plan is obviously out of the water but for me it is now a 1 year plan as if we don't get it right this summer there may not be a year 2.
With respect to your 30 year plan, with the way the game is going - Chelsea will make roughly 60% of Wolves annual income from all sources, from their pre season friendlies in America this summer - beyond another Nuno miracle, I don't see how Wolves ever compete again, let alone in a "mere" 30 years
Guess that is why I am so bitter, (and often stroppy - sorry), about Jeff blowing that one off chance after Seville.

I agree Long. Things seem to happen (if at all) at a snails pace.
I would rather them (Fosun/Shi) see the club as owners rather than fans, for business purposes. The Great Sir Jack described himself as the ‘Golden Tit’ of which other clubs would use to feed off i.e. inflate the price of any player we were interested in. He was not just the owner but a true fan.
I do worry about us missing out to other PL clubs on certain players we approach but even though we managed to stay in the Prem there is not much of an incentive for players to choose Wolves if it’s not clear VP is being supported.

You're right, Long, owners and fans are very different. But that's the case with every PL club surely? I hope your 30-year project refers to 30 years in the PL.

Lonymynd : The “Protect”, as it becomes more obvious as time goes by and years become a decade was to pull the wool over our eyes, something they’ve succeeded in doing despite our CEO admitting there’s nothing to see here, go watch someone else. They’ve even managed to convince some fans that we’re a little club punching above our weight, Fosun’s project is trading players for profit, nothing else, the club is a plaything, a pass time and just a finger in another pie for them, it’s a way of life for us and the only reason Molineux is still full most of the time, they treat fans with contempt, players are here today and gone tomorrow, our only hope is most of their tenure is behind them.

I'm afraid the passion for the club must be from the top down, the business side surely benefits from the product its providing.
I note all season tickets have been sold, very good. The £70 shirts seem popular although I personally think its awful, but again the marketing knows its age groups very good.
Now, the ground? Molineux is deemed fit enough to herd em in, they've paid, the team, well we'll pick up some unknowns in the hope they'll eventually move on and keep us afloat, the mugs will still pay. But when the team dosnt perform, or are happy to fight relegation until it happens then the mugs won't be there, the tv money will be cut, the ground will be rusting and unusable and the business can move on after finally stripping us of our assets.
I'm afraid that if fosun don't share the fans desire, if thei can't enjoy success to earn more income and enjoy the wins, experience the lows of defeat, then they really don't get the english football game, and thereon should not be allowed to run a club in such fashion.
It's sad times where money dictates, where pride and respect are sacrificed for the Yankee dollar.

Another excellent post Abbey.
Sadly unless you know someone willing to come in and change strategy, and that means firstly getting rid of Fosun, (who seemingly are still clinging to the hope that someone will actually pay them to go), then I don't see anything changing for the better any day soon.
Fosun believes, as many on here seemingly do as well, that despite all the evidence to the contrary they have a strategy that will work/allow Wolves to survive, (both as a club and even in the Prem).
Until the fateful day it doesn't, (and the two features of Prem club and existence are probably reasonably closely aligned), Fosun don't look like they are either going to admit their strategy is flawed or accept the huge loss on sale that they will now probably have to take to exit with dignity.
