I'm not a Adama fan by a long shot I think he is overated but at the end of the day what is the lad supposed to do if no-one is getting into the box for him to cross too?

And who gets more good crosses in than him?

Sorry most of his crosses do not end in the box. (maybe the director's box.)

He's still the only one that gets crosses in the box even if it is a bit hit and miss. Most of his shots end up in the directors box, at Walsall FC.

You clearly have never seen him play, Norfolk.I know you may be using poetic licence or having a laugh but who else in the squad puts in decent crosses on a regular basis? No-one that's who. Just check out our corners for example. The final ball is an issue for everyone and not just him.

I think that’s the problem though fells, his crosses are Sunday league but he is the only one who does put any balls into the box. You can have Haaland or Lewandowski in the middle and they would score many with us!
Adama is not good enough and Podence just wants to flick and dummy without looking. Our final ball is the worst in the prem and add that to the fact that for over two seasons we have had strikers who are also not good enough equals no goals.
Sarabia, Cunha, Neto back and fully fit plus a goal scorer and this team can be top ten. Add a centre half and a right back and they can get back to Europe!

You're right guys. When we won the corner I thought who the f*** is going to take it because there was not one player you would chose to take corners if you were selecting that team.

This is an issue.

Old Wulf, Seen him play many times since he joined us, no one else puts in decent crosses, neither does he.
Seen some very good wingers over the years who could for the most part çross with accuracy. Jimmy Mullen,Johnny Hancock, and of course Waggy. My son in law is a Boro fan and he was spot on when we signed Traore, he said most of his crosses would end up in row Z (or the directors box).Does it not tell you something that he has been at Villa, Boro, and Barcelona Twice
And on latest spell there failed to impress surely that tells you something or at least should. I've always hoped he would produce the goods, except on a few occasions (man City game gave us hope) he has failed and he's certainty had enough time and games to prove himself. So please don't insult me,we all have Opinions and you have yours.
Check with TFIOG he should recall my positive hope for Traore as we banged heads several times re Traore

Norfolk - whilst I don't doubt he has mirubbish crosses, (who hasn't), last night he put in a series of high quality crosses.
Bizarrely we still didn't give him the ball enough despite the fact he was destroying their full back but that is sadly another matter.
We didn't make enough of them either because of the lack of quality - we don't have Jota, pre injury Jimenez and Doherty anymore - or simply because we didn't have enough/any players in the box.
Whilst I accept that Traore is not every one's favourite last night he did not deserve the criticism he has received particularly on a night when so many other players did actually perform v poorly

Sorry if you feel insulated Norfolk, not the intention, but please don't talk nonsense about where his crosses end up because that's simply not true. He's no worse than many others in the squad and, for whatever reason,is just an easy scapegoat for many. The fact that he has been at Barcelona twice actually says a great deal for his talents but I agree that it's not easy to harness them.As for his latest spell he was competing for a forward place with numerous seasoned top internationals all of whom would walk into our team. To use Barcelona as an anology is therefore a red herring the size of a whale shark.

To be fair to Traore I think he knows that most of crosses he put's into the box won't find anyone because of our basic, longstanding problem.

For at least two years now Wolves (old admin) have failed to sign a natural, god given talented striker who knows where the net is. Jimenez will not return to his former self imo and Costa appears to be past it.

Until Wolves acknowledge this fact and make that signing there really is no point criticising the wingers, whoever they are.

Norfolk - Sorry I didn't spot your post at 18.56 this eve. Interesting that you regard the fact that it wasn't Barnsley but Barcelona that took him on loan last year - despite already having a squad of world class players including 2, Dembele and Depay, who play the same position as Traore -as a negative?
For me the fact that he went there, not Barnsley, and actually did well at least for the first few weeks is a massive compliment to him and his ability.
Other than Neves, who else in our squad would even interest Barcelona?

Future,I think Barnsley/ Barcelona comment would be lost on most.
As others have intimated it seems pretty pointless to continue this post, none so blind, not comfortable discussing Traore.so I'll leave it there.

As I said earlier today Traore polarizes opinions but I like the guy. I like to be entertained watching football and he gets me out of my seat. I know he's far from perfect but at the end of the season I have no doubt that if he doesn't sign a new contract with us he won't have a problem getting a significant contact with another top club either here or in Europe. He's not going to struggle to find work which for me shows that he's valued by professionals in the game including JL who wants him to stay.

I’m a wolves fan through and through and want to always back anyone who gives 100 % for the wolves shirt regardless of ability but come on Barcelona only took him because he was free apart from wages which he took a cut on just to go there, it was a no lose gamble for them to be honest and they decided he wasn’t what they wanted, just saying that just because he went there don’t mean he’s that good .

Agree.Barcelona and Xavi are just the type of team and manager that would take anyone on a free.
