Wolves determined to make Championship stay a one season thing.
- Wolves have made Sasa Kalajdzic, Hwang Hee Chan, Ki Jana Hoever and Boubacar Traore available for transfer.
As well as one of Jose Sa or Sam Johnstone possibly leaving.
- Cesar Peixoto would like to add a ‘specialist right winger’ and a central midfielder preferably Jordan James.
- Wolves expected to utilise the loan market to help with the HG quota.
- Cesar Peixoto very much the main man, delivering both football and some fitness sessions.
- ‘Together we are unstoppable’ is a main mantra used by the Wolves boss, with the message being displayed around training ground and stadium.
- Training has had new competitive system added with points for small sided games, losers pay for monthly meals on team nights out.
- No bids have came in for Matheus Mane at this point.

Hopefully Cesar is allowed to mould the squad and bring in players that he thinks could drive us forward, and move on those that are hampering us.
Rob Edwards came out last season and said that players needed to move on as they weren't good enough. Cesar has seen these very players first-hand now, so he either thinks they are good enough and he can change the style of play and maximise their potential, or they are so bad that no one wants them and the club are stuck with them until their contracts expire.
From a fan's point of view, this window has not been very inspiring. Yes, we've brought in Trippier and Jimenez, who will be excellent, but they are both 35 and unlikely to play every game. The only other player we've brought in is an unknown winger for £8m who is now injured. So essentially, with 1 day left till the season starts properly, we have the same squad plus two 35-year-olds, as last season.

I agree with a lot you've said there, Good, but I do think there is a third option regarding if they are or are not good enough. Because when Rob was appraising them, he was trying to compete in the Prem with a squad which had been cobbled together with virtually no genuine Prem experience! And it turns out he saw, like the rest of us, a team well off the required level. Honestly, when you look back at the sheer stupidity of our transfers this time last year, it really does beg belief as to how they, Jeff, thought it was actually going to work! Cesar, on the other hand, is operating in the Champ, where players like Wolfe or Lopes will likely suddenly look like very decent options.
Let's hope we smash Blackburn tomoz, and get everyone feeling a bit more positive about what we might be able to achieve this year (myself included). ?

I agree, Bullysboy. I'm not excited and I'm not worried either.
But I do think the club are missing a few tricks this summer.
At the moment we still have the deadwood on our books. This is a massive danger to the club, as if they prove poorer than last season, we are stuck with them.
Tchatchoua, Hwang, Toti, Mosquera, Krejci and Santi Bueno should be sold. They conceded 68 goals last season with 10 men defending under Rob Edwards.
Secondly, we need pace in cb, cm and our forwards to support Raul.

It would show to me the club are planning to make sure they go up, but also supporting Cesar to stay up.
The lack of pace at cb and fw is genuinely really scary. Yes, they could beat the majority of teams in the Championship.
But we are Wolves. We are bigger and better than just competing.
If you prepare to compete with injuries to Toti, Mosquera and R Gomes (all injured for the last three seasons), prepare to struggle.

At the moment, if Sa and Krejci stay, and if James comes in, I am happy with the first 11.

Also, with only 3 or 4 more reasonable pick ups/loans, the side should have enough depth to do well in the Champ.

But, in reality, that means the side that was cast adrift in the Prem, supplemented by 2 v old boys, and 2 new young players - one not thought good enough last year - in Lopez and James, is thought good enough to do well in the Champ.
Yes, the Prem is much, much tougher, and yes, the new manager does seem to be getting a tune out of them, but have we merely all bought in to the reality that there will be no massive rebuild to take the Champ, and then the Prem, by storm as Nuno did.

Some realistic comments here. Yes, we've lost players like Gomes who we would wish to keep, and some of the signings, Raul and Trippier, are low risk as long as they can maintain fitness levels.
Hopefully the negative attitudes have moved on.
CP can only work with what he's got, like RE, but generally he's been dealt a more favourable hand in terms of takeover time and divisional status. I hope BB's comment is correct, and last season's signings, with a Prem season behind them, look like good calls.
