Goalkeeper merry go round.
Okonkwo formally of Wrexham is closing in on a move to Derby.
Sa looks to be heading in the direction of Olympiacos but Braga could be looking to steal the deal.
Zettestrom to Wolves?

Zetterstrom would be a superb signing. Here's hoping.

Olympiacos have signed Stefan Ortega on a free. Can't see Sa going there.

Sa left in limbo, nobody seems to want him, and he shot himself in the foot at Wolves.

Up to Sa now to get his head down and crack on.

Allegedly linked with Andrew, a young Brazilian goalie at Flamengo, who Cesar had on loan at Gil Vicente last year. Flamengo's stance is not for sale, but Wolves are likely to push further.

Sa is the better of the three keepers, but he has no interest in or any loyalty towards Wolves. This has been the case for some time. Sam Johnstone was brought in because Sa was on the verge of leaving.
Bentley deserves to start the season for Wolves.
Hopefully, his teammates will protect him and he won't be put under too much pressure.
Long term, Wolves need to flog Sa and Johnstone, and Bentley needs to be back as the number two.

I disagree Hifi and with most doubters of Sa.
Under Gon, Sa was to be sold so his wages and relative decent fee would have balanced the books at the time, as Gon wanted to sign a keeper who could pass. Johnstone is no upgrade on Sa in any respects in my opinion, but is homegrown.
Sa is by far the best keeper at Wolves. The defence, however shaky, looks more solid with him in goal and playing direct passes to two wide forwards like Neto and Cunha, rather than playing out from the back.
Also, don’t forget under Gon, the manager that wanted Sa out, Sa faced fans in the car park and spoke about the team’s frustrations.
Sa is a European football standard goalkeeper. He is a class shot stopper and uses his experience wisely in games. Also, look how last season turned out when we lost the experience of Semedo and Sarabia, two players that had a well of experience.
If Sa wants to stay, we should welcome that. He is an experienced keeper and one of the best in the Championship if he stays. This is a keeper that, before last season, was in the top 10 for clean sheets in the league every year he has been at Wolves.
We have bigger issues. Firstly, we need pace and technical ability upfront to support Raul. I would be after Andre Luis from Olympiacos, Patrao from Braga (very similar to Jota). With R Gomes, Said and Armstrong we have options upfront then, and we would have also increased the technical ability and pace of the forwards.
Then we need to sort defence. These defenders are not good enough to play a back 4. We have watched numerous incarnations of the back 4 since 2021. The CBs do not have the pace or technical ability to play as a back 2.
We should be selling Mosquera, Krejci, Toti and Santi Bueno.
We sign Alleyne on loan and Arrey-Mbi, whilst also signing an experienced CB like Veltmann (who can also play in midfield) and Webster.
And even bigger issues in midfield, as it’s not fluid enough with Doyle and Traore in there. I would keep Doyle as he is still young and homegrown. But Cesar's from Gil Vincente, as he knows Cesar's tactics and will add a physical side to our midfield. McAtee on loan would be a good option, both as a midfield 3 or wide forward, who has also played with Doyle before.

Fully with you on Sa, FP2G. Persuade him to stay / keep him.
Concentrate on all the other pressing issue positions.

I've never been a total fan of Sa, but I agree he's the best of a bad bunch.
He can't pass the ball, and he fannies about with it in defence when there's an attacker on him, but ultimately it's our defence who should be helping the goalkeepers.
We're only concentrating on goalies because our defence is poor. Sell Toti instead. We need strong defenders who don't panic or give the ball away.

If Sa is committed and has his head in the right place, he will be more than good enough.
But that is a big if.
However, I also agree there are far more pressing problems, CM being the main one - who plays with Andre?
After that, depth and options in all areas, especially across the front line.
But, as stated before, this is unlikely to happen until the deadwood starts to be cleared, which is proving very difficult.

It's interesting, TFIOG. I thought the team yesterday looked very weak as a team sheet.
But it is good that they have won, but I do question the pace and technical ability of the two cbs; we need two cm and two wide forwards.
Fair play to Cesar for the training and tactics. I just hope he doesn't think this is it. This is a championship-winning team.
I agree the deadwood needs to be moved on, not just because they are deadwood, but also for the squad morale and the wages we are spending on them.
From the money made on Larsen, Gomes, Arias and Agbadou.
We should be able to afford the players we need to support Cesar's project and plans.
The remaining deadwood may have to be sold at a loss, unfortunately.
