Wolves have supposedly made an enquiry for Aral Simsir, plus are looking at Anthony Musaba, both wingers.

I wish we'd go for Ballard. I see that Bristol City have just had a deal turned down at £2-3m. He's an ex-Arsenal player, and scored 23 goals last season. Looks like exactly the sort of young prospect we should be going for. ?

Ballard and McCleary are no-brainer deals. If you sign them for £11m between them, they will triple in value after one good season.

Agreed, Fosun, mate. I was genuinely shocked when I saw the reported value of the bids (as it likely means £5m tops)! With the lad's background at Arsenal, England teams for most of his youth, and now 23 goals in League One at his age, then, like you say, absolute no-brainer! Not seen McCleary, but there's plenty of talent that has shone at lower levels, and Fosun have never done enough to explore or respect that market.
Lope wanted Scott, and Perriera wanted Hackney; in both cases, we would refuse to pay enough to get the deals done. Hackney went on to be player of the season in the Champ, and exactly the type of player we absolutely needed! And in Scott's case, he's gone on to be worth at least double his price already. I'd like to think we've learnt from such things, but I've yet to see the proof. Let's hope they sign Ballard and prove me wrong. ?

Although, incredibly, I note people on various sites stating that Wolves should pay £15m for Ballard!!
If Bristol City started the bidding at £2-3m, I suspect you are correct and that £5m is the correct price.
At those levels, Wolves, as shown in my previous posts, could comfortably add 3 or 4 young prospects to bolster the squad.
