I'm not surprised. The stupidity of the Express trying to charge local fans £60 a year to read about their local team was beyond stupid. It was never going to work, and I suspect it sped up the paper's demise, as all sponsorship is now behind a pay wall, likely finishing off what little sponsorship they had left. ?

Possibly more related to the fact he's just got engaged rather than anything club related. He is a journo, so being able to cover a team you support is a dream job - doubt he's given it up lightly.
