Has anyone tracked Wolves rise and fall to the engagement and disenchantment of Jorge Mendes?
That may be more of a reason for the downfall and many fans wanted him to not be involved with Wolves.

Because of agents and ‘super’ agents - the rapacious, blood sucking parasites that they are - players fees have spiraled out of control. Yes Wolves have had some class players thanks to Mendes, but they’ve also had some overpriced dross.
Wasn’t Fabio Silva’s fee so ludicrously high because Mendes wanted £6 million for himself? Imagine a £250,000 house selling for £500, 000 because Marcus the Estate Agent wants £250,000 for brokering the deal. That’s what football has become.

There was more wrong with the Fabio Silva deal than Mendes alone. If Mendes got £6mil from the £35mil paid, that still leaves an astonishing £29mil net for a poor player, the so-called 'generational talent' as described by Jeff.
Why and when did the rot set in at Wolves? Maybe the Silva deal disheartened Nuno? Maybe the block on further investment by the Chinese government? We all have our theories.
