It seems Jimenez isn't sure his future lies at Wolves. If that's the case we should start looking elsewhere. We don't need anyone that isn't 100% behind this team.

If you read it again it is clear (within the realms of translations) that he is saying that he is uncertain as it is out of his hands, the club making the final decision as to whether to buy him at the end of his loan period.
What he CAN do, is play his heart out and see where that gets him in terms of goals, assists, and general team play.
To write him off based on a few translated sentences, and grabbing the other end of a stick, just isn't how to support your team and the players that wear our colours.

2.) 13 Dec 2018 20:35:24
On a similar vein. I see Raul like I saw Leo last year (before Xmas) .
Yes, not a world beater (but how many of those do we have) but bloody good enough for what we needed at that time.
Raul hasn't scored the number of goals he could have done (and he's probably the first to say the same) but you can't fault the lad's endeavour and intentions.
Raul is an upgrade on Leo, and there is definitely room for an upgrade on Raul, but until it materialises let's get behind him.

3.) 13 Dec 2018 20:58:51
Jimenez is not a prolific striker. He wasn't brought in to bang in 25 goals a season. He was brought in to stretch defences allowing the likes of Costa, Jota, Cav and Traore to run inside and score.

4.) 13 Dec 2018 21:30:31
Exeter don't lecture me about how to support my team. I was first taken up the Wolves in 1950. I've seen them win the league three times, the FA and league cups. I was there in the 80s in the 4th division. believe me, I know how to support my team.

5.) 14 Dec 2018 02:06:49
The headline hasn't helped on this one. Because reading his quotes I think what he REALLY means is that he knows he needs to score more goals to justify that fee agreed. I mean he talked about loving it and he's playing regularly at the highest level so why wouldn't he want to stay?! Think he just doesn't want to get egg on his face by lining up behind the club then them not going for him!
On a side note I think he would just about be worth it! I agree he may not ever be prolific but like Jas says his games much more than that. He's one of this new breed of 'false nine' striker where his games as much about team goals as it is his own. You look back over most of our goals this season and he is usually an integral part, even if its just that sly run off the ball to drag a cb away. Not to mention £30m gets you nothing these days with strikers and by some other deals that's still good business for Raul! let's not forget Benteke was £35m!

6.) 14 Dec 2018 13:24:42
2 important developments recently will give us full value from Jimenez now.
1. The emergence for a strike partner in MGW.
2. The great return to goal scoring form by Jota. He scored 18 last season remember.

These 3 players combining up front will step up the scoring rate significantly.

7.) 15 Dec 2018 00:17:16
Noddy, believe me pal, I have no intention of lecturing anyone on how to support our team.
You have been there like me.
Raul is a 'worker'.
Let's all support him and the boys in old gold.

8.) 15 Dec 2018 10:32:40
Exeter I've posted on here before how much I like Jimenez, I was very disappointed to read he'd been talking to journalists about possibly leaving. TOGETHER WE ARE STRONGER.

9.) 15 Dec 2018 13:38:50
Noddyboy, where has he said he wants to possibly leave. I think he said that he's only on loan to us and there are many factors that need to be sorted before he joins permanently. If these can't be agreed then he won't join. The main sticking point is that Benfica haven't given us a compulsory option to buy at an agreed price and may well up their valuation.

{Ed002's Note - You cannot have a "compulsary option".}

10.) 15 Dec 2018 14:53:01
You know what I mean Ed, like we've got with Afobe and Stoke.

11.) 15 Dec 2018 19:50:57
Noddy you need to re-read the article buddy cause at NO point does he 'talk about the possibility of leaving' I mean he couldn't before the end of the loan anyway unless we cancelled it! All he does say is he doesn't know if he will stay and that's VERY different! And can you blame him after the way we took up Beniks option?! He's not stupid and he knows its on the club so to keep his language neutral, but if a player wants to leave they don't talk about loving playing at the club (like he did) . Also Jas I do believe the £30m fee agreed (or whatever it is around that) would be binding if we wanted to take it up, I suspect what it will come down to is if Nuno/ Mendes think its worth that level of spend comparative to other options they have.
Just got back from today's game and for me at this stage it would be worth it. The guy was EVERYWHERE today, defending set pieces, winning the ball in midfield and oh yeah the important one scoring a goal! COYW ;)

12.) 16 Dec 2018 16:08:15
That is exactly what Boly said before he signed, if you will remember.

25 Nov 2018 23:04:11
Second best all over the pitch. It seems we've forgotten how to pass and move. No names but, players not tracking back puts a great strain on the defence. It looks a long way to 40 points Can only hope this is just a bad day at the office. UTW.

1.) 26 Nov 2018 21:13:44
Wow what a shocker. Dodgy curry at the team lunch? Or the after effects of the international break?

We all know they are better than that. Anyone who has played at any level knows that bad performances are rarely intentional and can come from nowhere.
Perhaps something different needed for Cardiff - much more steel needed in midfield - Saiss? (In for Moutinho ) . MGW has got to start in attacking midfield role. No point in 2 wingers when they are so out of form.

It might be unfashionable to say it but Patricio does not look rught just now. Give Ruddy a game.
Form is temporary and class is permanent. Wolves have the quality to take the points on Friday.

Liverpool having a laugh, swap Neves for Origi would be like swapping a Rolls Royce for a bike.

noddyboy

1.) 19 Nov 2018 19:07:00
What other teams, or at least their fans, don't seem to have realised yet is that we aren't desperate for money that we have to sell. And I don't think that Neves would want to leave at the moment - he's playing every week at the highest level, he's forced his way into the Portugal starting XI and he seems happy at Molineux.

Liverpool fans are having a chuckle thinking that Neves for Origi is a reasonable swap.

2.) 20 Nov 2018 07:44:08
Origi and £40m for Neves is the minimum value.

3.) 20 Nov 2018 16:56:43
BIKE? Unicycle at best😂.

06 Nov 2018 21:33:56
Looks like we're going to be up against it on Sunday, our favourite referee Stuart Attwell set to officiate. My money's on a poor decision against us as usual.

1.) 10 Nov 2018 19:12:52
Traore through the middle Costa Cav either side Arsenal poor at the back against pace.

1.) 07 Oct 2018 07:12:16
see big mouth wallnock talking about us again in press.

2.) 07 Oct 2018 09:53:20
Who cares what walnut is saying to the press we are playing in the big boy league now and we are doing our talking on the pitch, we are playing great football and we deserve to be where we are, he wouldn’t be opening his mouth if we were at the bottom of the league.

3.) 07 Oct 2018 13:04:38
you do you have commented lol.

4.) 07 Oct 2018 14:48:52
Trust me I don’t give a hoot about walnut .

5.) 07 Oct 2018 16:27:14
Who's Warnock then?

6.) 07 Oct 2018 16:56:46
Warnock . sorry I thought it was walnut . as I said who cares.

7.) 07 Oct 2018 16:58:34
if this club finishes top 4-6 . needs to build New Molineux with 80,000 seats - 40,000 safe standing - new site and dedicated rail link. Possibly might win Premiership in May 2019 and do a Leicester - not impossible.

8.) 07 Oct 2018 19:33:12
Billy I said who's Warnock lol it was meant in the sense like "he doesn't exist to me2.

9.) 07 Oct 2018 20:11:01
Lol Agee with you there RKO . 😂.

10.) 09 Oct 2018 13:31:59
The fact that Warnock once instructed his team during a match they were losing to get multiple red cards - to get the match abandoned. It was abandoned. That tells you all you need to know about Warnock.

How did we manage to finish the match without Jota Moutinho and Neves not on the pitch? The heart of the side were not able to help us fight back, very disappointing.

noddyboy

1.) 08 Apr 2019 20:01:50
To be fair at least we stared with them on the pitch, McGhee would have left all 3 of them at home!

03 Nov 2018 20:39:13
Just watched Danny Batth against Stoke, brilliant display. Facing the ball he's as good as anybody, it's when he's turned he struggles a bit. Great club man, great gentleman, pity he couldn't make it in the Prem. I think he more than deserved it.

1.) 03 Nov 2018 21:14:44
Come on the Wolves! Leo’s not up to it! Got to get more quality at the sharp end. ⚽️😉👍.

2.) 03 Nov 2018 21:58:25
Leo will never be up to it; how is he picked? In the box and completely missed the ball!

3.) 03 Nov 2018 22:12:23
Good game Raul, Costa was very good too. Missed a sitter when one on one with lloris though. Just need about 3 more pieces in the jigsaw. To turn us into top 6 I’m thinking!

⚽️😉👍.

4.) 03 Nov 2018 22:27:19
How impressive was Gibbs-White, he gave us something different when he came on and some of his passes were incredible. He certainly is part of the Plan B that I think we have lacked recently when we have gone behind. Unfortunately Bonatini looks totally shot of confidence and struggles to hold up the ball the way he did this time last year. He needs to be replaced on the bench by one of the youngsters from the under 23, Ennis or Ashley-Seal. However there are a lot of positives to be taken from tonight, as we really rattled Spurs, we just need some goals from the front line.

5.) 03 Nov 2018 23:11:23
First half was Watford mark 2, switched off again for the 2nd goal again when we should be shutting up shop for 5 minutes and boring our way back for some control.
Second half we made a champions league team look very average, but we have to make our chance pay off, Spurs did, we didn’t.
Less said about the disallowed goal the better! This is the premier league, we need premier league officials, again shocking. well dick somebody soon!

6.) 03 Nov 2018 23:34:19
The Jimenez goal at 2-0 Was never offside. Had that been given, the game may have been very different. Good display by us tonight. Spurs and Arsenal are 2 games we were expected to lose. Nuno will take a lot of positives from tonight's game. Jimenez and Gibbs White were excellent and Neves' passing game was back to its best.

7.) 04 Nov 2018 10:35:50
MGW was fab last night.
Just what we need at the moment, a young gun playing well and giving Nuno selection headaches of the right kind.
I'm sure he has played out wide up front for us before.
Could he slot in an alternative to Costa?

8.) 04 Nov 2018 13:07:20
Exeterwolf, to me MGW looks more like a central midfielder, able to spray passes around him and can run at people as well. I am now sure how effective he would be on the flanks.

27 Oct 2018 21:49:35
Watched Nuno's interview, I'm proud he's our manager, never gives negative remarks about the opposition, never makes excuses. The kind of bloke I admire the most. In Nuno we trust.

07 Oct 2018 16:50:43
I'm not happy about some of our fans having a moan about some of our players. They're all going to be out of form at some time during the season and they need us to get behind them. So come on boys let's cut them a bit of slack. It's the team that matters.

noddyboy

1.) 08 Oct 2018 10:37:09
Just read that 7 of the Wolves team are in the top 50 'in form' list. Doherty, Patricio, Boly, Moutinho, Bennett, Jimenez and Jonny.

2.) 08 Oct 2018 19:37:15
Not Coady?

(with due respect to Neves, Jota and Costa)

I remember that game Ken68, Leeds had a freekick at the southbank end Allan Clark was trying to squeeze into our wall. Jimmy McCalliog went round the back of the wall and kicked Clark really hard on the back of his thigh, nobody saw a thing, I did.
