So who are we clearing out then lads? Cunha, semedo and nouri are all in the balance with Sarabia. I'd shift Johnstone, Dawson, Doyle as he doesn't look like VP wants him, Hwang, Sasa, Guedes and Forbs. Noticed we've got quite a few young lads too who never make an appearance like Enzo, Lima, Chiwome, are these lads getting games for the U21's or just training and sitting on the bench every week? seems like a waste.

I don't understand the finance rules in the Premier. Two questions if anyone can help.
It is not an even playing field. Why can the Likes of Liverpool, United, City and Arsenal pay gigantic fees and get away with it, when Wolves, and those clubs at the bottom cannot. Is it all down to how much you can generate via large crowds, merchandise, sponsorships etc. Wolves can never compete unless we too can spend really stupid amounts of cash.
The second question is about Man City. I thought they were being hit with over a 100 charges. What happened there?
2.) 31 May 2025 15:54:16
Chiwone and Enso both have long term injuries. And Lima has been involved in matchday squads
3.) 31 May 2025 15:57:25
Sarabia and Cunha have gone.
Semedo is in talks with Wolves.

Some graphics doing the rounds showing the breakdown of UEFA earnings, Spurs about 45 million for winning the Europa league, Man U about 36 million as runners up, Chelsea around 20 million for winning the conference, tonight's UCL finalists are earning around 140 million Euros. Other clubs earning proportionately less based on progress. It helps in avoiding PSR sanctions.
5.) 31 May 2025 17:15:34
It's exactly that Cashinblack, in theory the wealth of the owners is not so relevant within PSR. The club itself must be able to pay it's own way, or make losses of no more than £105M over 3 years. That's why some clubs sell players occasionally to balance the books and avoid PSR sanctions.
Owners can, however, invest in their club to increase the clubs income, things like bigger ground capacity, better sponsorship deales, merchandising, stadium naming rights, etc.
As for the City saga plenty are asking the same question, we were all told a decision was imminent, but nothing announced yet.

Please for the love of god let the Sancho rumour stay as a rumour!
1.) 06 Apr 2025 20:33:32
Agreed
2.) 07 Apr 2025 07:34:56
What is the sancho rumour ukrainewolf?
3.) 07 Apr 2025 12:03:22
Seen it now, agree Ukraine and derry, no.
23 Feb 2025 05:22:51
I've seen fans moaning on the socials, saying we were too boring second half. Just goes to show you can't please everyone. I'll take boring 1-0 wins away against the top six everyday of the week, but that's just me. We can worry about playing exciting football next season once we survive. Hopefully then fosun can put their hands in their pockets and get some decent forwards.yeah I'm not holding my breath either ?
1.) 23 Feb 2025 09:21:43
Couldn't agree more Ukraine. We dug in for the second half, and who can blame us? Three points in the bag! I bet some Liverpool supporters were moaning about their second half performance against us, even though they won. We can look forward to more exciting football next season if we survive. VP has given us hope that we can finally put the wrongful departure of Nuno behind us, and re-boot the ten year Project.
2.) 23 Feb 2025 10:10:13
Got to be honest I was wondering why we wernt utilising the long ball towards larsen more, but your right safety first, and Andre was superb in that respect. We couldve/should've killed it off when marshal missed but there we are. 3 points in our position was massive.
3.) 23 Feb 2025 10:27:50
Agree. I'd taking boring for our remaining games if it secures other year at least of PL football.
I'm probably being totally unrealistic and hoping we can hang onto Cuhna and build on what VP is starting to create;a proper team. Players working together. I really don't understand PSR and how close we are to breaking the rules, but I sincerely hope Fosun have learnt a harsh lesson if we survive this season and support VP in the summer so we can avoid another season like this. Let's hope for a win against Fulham on Tuesday and it would be fantastic to beat Bournemouth again next week to continue our cup run.
4.) 23 Feb 2025 11:18:45
Said it many times, points are critical, they're permanent, performances just become memories and they fade.
I take 1-0 boring wins all day over we were unlucky, biased refs, useless VAR or any of the other usual excuses. Good win, personally, I thought Bournemouth were nothing special or Wolves were better than some gave us credit for.
16 Dec 2024 22:16:12
Well lads the next few months will let us know how good O'Neil was, maybe this is as good as we can get with this current squad, maybe we can start picking up straight away with the new manager. Time will tell. Either way I think we need 3/4 players in January to give ourselves a decent chance.
1.) 17 Dec 2024 05:57:28
Reports are that GON was told after the Everton debacle that he was gone and VP has been in talks since then. He'll be announced today.
Tommy Doyle gave an interview to Jacqui Oatley where he mentioned more but I can't find it anywhere. The snippet I did read said that GON had lost the dressing room as he knew his fate.
2.) 17 Dec 2024 08:42:06
Sadly we don't know the truth, but one perspective, maybe truth in the rumours of O'Neil being told he was gone a few weeks ago and Fosun had struggled to find a replacement, could have filtered through to the Dressing Room, hence the "odd" behaviour. Many players have voiced their support for O'Neil.
This from Jonny Phillips is telling:
“Shi has rarely attended games in these recent weeks, preferring instead to focus on contests in the e-sports world. That is fair enough if his role is to increase brand awareness and alternative revenue streams in far flung global destinations, but if Wolves want to succeed in a Premier League environment there must be a strong hand on the tiller in a traditional football chief executive role.”.
It feels like the dressing room will need a lot of convincing to restore faith in Fosun.
3.) 17 Dec 2024 09:39:41
I get what you're saying RugeleyWolf2, but that's what a Manager is for. Players come and go with different pay masters in our case it's Fosun who pay their enormous wages. It's the players job to perform to their best ability and the managers to ensure they do. It's not Fosun's job. Trouble is these days they all want a arm around them telling them it'll be alright. It's their job to perform and not worry about Fosun. That's something they can't control. If they're upset at GON being sacked maybe they should take a long hard look in the mirror.
4.) 17 Dec 2024 10:10:12
I get what your saying Black but I'm not sure it's that simple. It's kind of like at school when a supply teacher comes in, the kids behave horrifically because they know there is absolutely no repercussions! When you look at the last two matches I suspect Wandering is correct in that the players have clearly known Gary and his team are leaving (Lemina squaring up to Derry springs to mind). I get why they (Fosun) did it because they have clearly thought it's better than no manager (teacher:) but I would argue that yet again they got the decision entirely wrong!
Because actually the absolute sh1t show that has been the last two matches (players sent off, fighting staff and a captain stripped of the arm band) is now likely to do FAR more lasting damage! Surely it would have made FAR more sense if they had just done what (literally every other club does) and asked the u21 Manager (James Collins) to step in as care taker manager and prepare and lead those matches?! I'm sorry but yet again at EVERY juncture Fosun look like absolute amateurs when it comes to all things football! Give me strength, let's just hope this new guy is good at managing the dressing room cause he's walking into an absolute fire storm! Good luck Vitor, your going to need it at this place! ??
5.) 17 Dec 2024 11:17:54
Good analogy Bullys, I think it's pretty obvious that this is a multi layered issue now. Fosun apparently tightening the £ screw, GON stitched up but lacking the experience to get through it, players acting like squabbling kids.
What I find interesting is that Shi was allegedly sidelined in terms of football matters and Hobbs promoted to take that over, he also took on GON. Now it seems that Shi is running the Manager hunt again under the guidance of our old friend Mendes. On that basis Wolves were never going to employ a Moyes or a Potter or anyone similar.
I always expected it to be a Spanish or Portuguese candidate anyway. As I've said previously, I know Fosun seem to have lost the plot recently buying kids, which might yet be Hobb's influence, but they can't afford for us to get relegated. Of late we seem to lurch from relative success to disaster with Fosun occasionally stepping in to sanction changes which usually get a reaction, that's their style. A hoop and a stick I once described it as.
It does make you wonder about the local management, however, anyway let's hope this is the first step in getting the hoop back on course.
6.) 17 Dec 2024 11:41:28
I think the deal for VP was a few weeks ago it would surely take longer than 2 days to identify, approach and agree terms with the new manager. I think they had struck a deal after the Everton game and were just dotting the I's and crossing the T's.
7.) 17 Dec 2024 13:52:38
Dare say deal was done weeks ago
8.) 17 Dec 2024 14:02:04
While some shop at Harrods, we're left to rummage around the charity shops due to Fosun's declining interest ( (and I did find Johnny Phillips' article very interesting). Maybe (hopefully) the new guy will at least sort the defence out but I still think he'll be working without the likes of RAN and Cunha come Feb with freebies or loaners coming in.
Really we still need similarly decisive action with Shi and Hobbs- I don't know if we can still reignite our relationship with Uncle Jorge but I think he disappeared last time because we were too close to breaking the rules with his 'role.
Maybe just the optimist in me but I still think we can avoid relegation but it's going to be a bumpy ride
9.) 17 Dec 2024 14:10:36
Have to agree with Gary's comment that Wolves are not physical enough. Problem is they tend to sign players not tall enough to be really physical. Hence we end up with the likes of Podence who defenders love to play against. Teams with big physical players tend to steamroller us. I would be good to have a Wily Boly at the heart of the defence. Mind you it would help if we had two full backs who can defend, Semedo is lightweight in that department. Pity they don't show the same aggression during games as they did at the end of Ipswich game.
10.) 17 Dec 2024 15:52:06
Now folkes let get behind our new manager onwards and upwards
09 Dec 2024 05:19:00
Just wondering why so many people on here are against Moyes, in the four full seasons he was in charge we finished above West Ham once, in those four seasons they finished 6th in 20/21 and 7th 21/22, we've never finished 6th in the prem. Last season they finished 9th. So he has a current premier league record of getting top half finishes. He also gets a team fit and defensively sound, in my opinion he is the ideal replacement even if it's short term.
1.) 09 Dec 2024 07:12:04
West Ham conceded 74 goals last season in the league. His teams defensive record is worse than ours over the last 4 years. West Ham played turgid football under him but won.
2.) 09 Dec 2024 07:28:45
You know ukrainewolf, I think it actually boils down to charisma and personality. We were treated to Nuno's paternal and emotional leadership, then the 'mystique' of lage and lopetegui both sort of 'unknown hopes. GON is an amicable and likeable, relatable sort of guy. I personally see Moyes a sterner sort whereas Potter seems more in the formers' mould.
Football wise moyes comes across as a business end minded manager, who maybe wouldn't be seen as having his heart in Wolverhampton, maybe not tolerant of Fosuns policies?
Of course I'm sure his tactics and style of play influence others but I'm not claiming to be qualified to judge him that way.
3.) 09 Dec 2024 08:24:49
That's a good point Abbey, maybe it is just chemistry but upon reflection we probably need a Moyes type right now. I've often thought this club is 'too nice'.
4.) 09 Dec 2024 08:41:17
Go for William Still, a left field appointment I know but we need to get away from the old format of trying to get "proven" managers to steer this ship.
5.) 09 Dec 2024 08:42:31
Wandering we’ve had one of the better defences in the whole league since we came up with nuno, even under lage it was decent, it was always scoring goals that was the problem, but that was then and this is now. Currently we have the worst defence in the league and we’re on course to break 100 goals conceded this season, 74 in comparison doesn’t sound so bad. Turgid football to a sixth place finish I’d take myself but that’s just me. Yeah abbey I get fans want to be entertained etc and want the club to have a certain image, I’d like a couple of seasons where we’re not stressing that were going to get relegated and would take a boring guy like Moyes to get some stability.
6.) 09 Dec 2024 09:27:11
I know what your saying Ukraine. But unless Moyes is allowed to bring in defenders then we simply havet got decent enough players to stop this rot.
28 Aug 2024 21:28:46
I think Andre can play as a cb as well but is usually a defensive midfielder
07 Jul 2023 01:31:34
Raul (can’t score)
Sarabia (can’t score)
Cunha (can’t score)
Podence (has a goal in him)…yeah sell him
08 Nov 2022 22:05:41
So do you like Adama or not? I can’t tell
18 Oct 2022 23:13:03
Lads were not getting a top manager in, they don’t want to pay, lage one of the lowest in the league, they’re trying to get someone in on the cheap as usual
18 Jul 2022 00:36:38
Thanks mate, I’m English from Wolves but have Ukrainian heritage
09 Aug 2025 17:28:49
Yeah really not great, celta finished around 7th though so they’re a decent team. We just look bereft of ideas tbh which was my fear after loosing cunha and rayan. But it all counts for nothing, what really matters is what happens from next weekend onwards. definitely need a Rb, don’t like the look of Hooever, and a for me we need a CM who offers something different, and obviously a forward.
22 Jul 2025 13:52:45
He doesn’t want to be here, never celebrates a goal, decent player but bad attitude and doesn’t really suit the English game, would be better playing in Europe, I would get rid.
09 Dec 2024 08:42:31

28 Oct 2024 03:34:54
Goatmark Just for clarity I said it was an improvement but I still think we were poor first half. And I’m not against O’Neil, I think the recruitment (whoever is actually in charge of it) has got us into this mess. We are mid table on goals scored but comfortably last on goals conceded. We have played top sides but last season we would have picked up points against those same sides, our defence is unquestionably worse, anyone who knows anything about football knows the first job in a struggling side is to sure up the defence. I hope O’Neil can do it otherwise it will be a long season. Ask the FA if they can not count the Chelsea and Brentford game at the end of the season then, might help ?
27 Oct 2024 01:37:43
Yeah it was nouri and totti together on that left side mainly that was such a weak link, I also think semedo isn’t quite up to it in a back four either for a full 90
