Some rumour sites are saying Rafa Mir's price is between €6-8m.
Unbelievable if they sell him for that.

1.) 04 Jun 2021 17:49:08
It is if they do. I would hope they go for a swap.

I am guessing though not much will be done without Lage there first. If he is to be appointed he might have certain transfer targets.

2.) 04 Jun 2021 17:56:51
Give the kid another chance. not like we've got too many strikers.

3.) 04 Jun 2021 18:48:58
I like the idea of swaps with whatever team wants to buy him. Good chance the likes of Valencia and Villareal both linked with him have someone we could make good use of.

In other news watching Spain Portugal friendly. Spain are constantly targeting Semedo on the right as the weak link. Great.

4.) 04 Jun 2021 18:56:32
Like I said the Eds previously said they have an agreed fee, one which many in Spain think he's already worth more than so those figures sounds about right. Also like I said the Ed suggested that the club he's on loan with may buy him and sell him straight on to Valencia (thus making a profit we should have made, like we did with Benik) . If true then we do need to get on top of our youth system. If Mir goes at a loss (like Goncalves before him) then it does make you question who's over seeing these deals and that they need an ear bashing/ replacing. No point in investing all this money on youngsters if you can only spot the good ones after they've succeeded elsewhere! 🙄.

5.) 04 Jun 2021 19:14:51
BullysBoy, I think they did have an agreement with Huesca but that was dependent on them staying up.

The rumoured fee does seem low but Mir only has 1 year left on his contract.

6.) 04 Jun 2021 19:32:00
BullysBoy II, the team he is on loan to is not buying him. The editor doesn't know as much as he thinks he does, which should be amply obvious by now.

7.) 04 Jun 2021 19:52:43
Ah fair enough, cheers Jas. That is a low fee then, but why then have we loaned him out with one season left on his contract?! However this plays out I think we need a shake up on who in that youth team is ready to play for a place. We needed a squad last season and half of it was already there, just playing out on loan when they could have been training with the first team and filling the bench! 👍.

8.) 04 Jun 2021 20:36:02
Why not just say Neves is going for £2.50.😂

Some rumours are absurd. I understand it is a change in management and personnel. But Fosun aren't daft especially with the world's most powerful agent to help out.

In more interesting developments I would guess wolves have some sort of clause or sell on percentage for Goncalves at Sporting. Maybe we get first option.?

Also the rumour of this wonder kid wing back going from sporting seems crazy. How is he going to play with Wan Bissaka, Shaw and Telles in the utd side?

Don't get me wrong I see the appeal of utd for a kid from abroad but surely he won't go to sit on the bench after winning the league.

9.) 05 Jun 2021 00:59:40
Now it's almost certain Lage is the new manager. What players would you like to see come into the team next season?

My first match squad looks something like this.4-3-3
Jose Sa (to replace Patricio)
Semedo Coady Marques Jonny/ Vinagre
Otawosie Neves Vitinha
Neto Raul Podence

Ruddy
Donk
Morgan Gibbs White
Fabio Silva

Can see Traore, Boly, Cutrone, Mir and Kilman been sold. £40-£90m I think Podence might go aswell to be honest. He was a crap replacement for Jota.

Can see another cb coming in.
And I'd like Palhinha or Renato Sanches to balance the midfield.
Still question marks at left back can we have a say in the deal for the wonder kid from sporting Lisbon? Or maybe do a deal for Telles from Man Utd. As Vinagre goes sporting, Nuno Mendes (sporting Lisbon wonder kid) goes Man Utd then Wolves get Telles.
Do we have any clause in Goncalves deal with Sporting? As Fosun seemed pretty shrewd with that the first couple of transfer windows.
Also another smart signing would be Fabio Vieira from Porto as he has played with Vitinha and Fabio Silva and is an attacking winger/ attacking midfielder. Could he be the new Joao Felix under Lage?

10.) 05 Jun 2021 09:38:37
Jonny and Neto are out until November.

11.) 05 Jun 2021 12:17:26
True Jas. We should just plan without them to be honest.

We can't rely on them been at there best in November. It may be January by the time they are at there best.

Maybe there is truth in the Guedes rumours.

When you think about it the club won't be letting every player just leave. As the squads short at the moment without any players exiting.

12.) 05 Jun 2021 12:45:16
TommyTatter, how many goals did Portugal score?

13.) 06 Jun 2021 11:37:44
AND the mass exodus starts. Rui want to leave Wolves for Roma. Who will be next. Comment below. A spot in the Wolves squad if you get every player that leaves this summer window correctly.

14.) 06 Jun 2021 11:44:17
I really hope that Fosun and Jeff know what they are doing. cause if they don't then rest assured that the Molineux faithful will be begging no sorry demanding them to leave the club.

15.) 06 Jun 2021 12:02:23
Madman. I've not watched a bruno Lage team play, like most of us. Lage doesn't play 433.

Apparently, its 442 with inverted wide midfielders and two pressing forwards. Without possession the two banks of 4 form narrow shielding blocks and the 2 pressing forwards aim to close down the opposition defender's forward passes in order to win the ball high up the pitch.
In possession the wide midfielders cut infield with the wing backs pushing forwards. Our Centre midfielders aim to cover the full back area if need be.

I've never seen it but it sounds like it would suit several of our players imo.

I'd play Neto as the left of the two pressing forwards when fit. Fabio silva works hard enough to press and Jimenez is god so could do it. Then it's either mir or someone else I guess. Just my guess.

I believe it would really suit neves and perhaps dendonker in the centre mid positions, not sure it would suit vitinha though but I'd still sign him!

I think it would excite wolves fans too. We love high energy, wingers, strikers.

We just need 3 or 4 to supplement the squad I think. No sales (maybe marcel, saiss and Mourinho if they want to play) Probably loan kilman. Convert Gibbs-white to right mid?

Vinagre left back and left mid option? If he's playing well now (as reported) why not try him?

Centre back, 2 centre mids, left midfield, striker would be amazing but I'm not expecting that many, especially if we're buying vitinha and ait-Nouri.

16.) 06 Jun 2021 15:35:44
Fable by name, fable by nature.

17.) 06 Jun 2021 16:16:49
Hi JamesSpD.

I believe the system changes depending on who Bruno plays against. He used Joao Felix as a false 9. So the front two was a front 1. He also plays with two wingers which is more exciting. So on paper it would be 4-4-2 but as you can see it would be more of a 4-5-1 with the attacking midfielder (felix) coming short for the ball in pockets of space.

So my 443 is more the shape of the team as it would be
Rui
Semedo Coady CB? Jonny/ Vinagre
Donk Neves
Gibbs white
Traore Raul Neto/ Podence.

So he would have two midfielders to dominate the midfielder and 4 forward players to link play and attack.

What ever happens this summer I can see changes at left back, midfield, strikers and cb.

18.) 07 Jun 2021 13:03:05
Madman,

4-4-3? That's 11 players. Plus GK makes 12.

We might win a few games with that set up!

01 Jun 2021 13:27:30
Not a Wolves rumour but Ancelotti to Real Madrid and Nuno to Everton.

TimBoy123

1.) 01 Jun 2021 15:21:16
So far, this week Nuno is going to Crystal Palace, Villa, Everton and some club in Italy.

2.) 01 Jun 2021 16:08:23
And West Bromwich Albion.

3.) 01 Jun 2021 17:20:43
This is a rumour site. Just sayin like.

4.) 01 Jun 2021 18:21:58
Zidane to Wolves.

5.) 01 Jun 2021 18:24:08
Italian club Nuno was linked with is Lazio.

6.) 01 Jun 2021 19:46:29
Lage has been granted a work permit.

7.) 02 Jun 2021 00:09:09
Bad news then Jas.

8.) 02 Jun 2021 09:22:42
Ends all speculation then. One way or the other the club can move on now.

9.) 02 Jun 2021 09:48:02
Everybody wants nuno, apart from the Chinese. Best manager we have ever had and they sack him. 4 years work down the drain, back to square one. to be replaced by a nobody, FOSUN OUT FOSUN OUT.

10.) 02 Jun 2021 10:46:45
WHAT?
Its fosun who have made it possible our best team players in the last 40 odd years.
I can not see in the slightest why you say such a bold statement like that Demon.
I'm scratching my head.
But each to their own suppose.

11.) 02 Jun 2021 11:22:39
Deamon is another troll.

12.) 02 Jun 2021 11:45:22
Fosun have done more for our club than any other owners!
Changes in management and playing staff (that will follow) are a risk for sure and I hope will push us on however we have to get behind the club.
Keep the faith!

13.) 02 Jun 2021 12:12:40
If Lage is appointed new manager like most fans I will get behind him and fosun.
COYW.

14.) 02 Jun 2021 13:04:39
Well where ever Nuno goes their will be a mass exodus from Wolves. Mark my words we will NOT be top 10 next season but in a relegation battle.

15.) 02 Jun 2021 13:39:59
So, basically some fans are already writing the new manager off before he's even been appointed and also want Fosun out because getting us promoted and into Europe in 4 years ain't good enough. What I'd like is for these same fans to put forward their ideas.

16.) 02 Jun 2021 14:34:33
If Nunos going to palace fable, what player in there right mind would follow him?
They are never going to trouble the top 10 nevermind top 6,at least if we can get this window right we have a chance at making a play for the top 6.

{Ed002's Note - He will go to Everton I would think.}

17.) 02 Jun 2021 15:29:01
On the bright side if he ends up at Everton at least there pockets are deep enough to give us the best price for any of our stars that wish to play with him.

18.) 02 Jun 2021 15:34:30
Lage has his work permit. E and S.

19.) 02 Jun 2021 16:47:47
If this is taking Wolves forward then they are very much mistaken, why couldn't we make a move for Conceicao or Zidane? This guy Lage has no track record whatsoever, it's going to be interesting to see how long he lasts, yet again we've been screwed over by Mendes! (Beware The Ides Of March)! Guaranteed we are going to be in a relegation scrap this season, I for one have no confidence in the club or this guy Lage. Jeff Shi stated that Wolves are not overly reliant on Mendes, I beg to differ with this appointment I rest my case.
COYW.

20.) 02 Jun 2021 17:24:35
Karlis, that Jorge Mendes is always screwing us over isn't he. Everything he does is an absolute disaster for us. From facilitating the Fosun buyout from Steve Morgan (who wanted that eh? ) to helping us purchase players such as Neves, Moutinho, Jimenez, Neto, Podence and Patricio when we could have kept Henry, Jacobs, Mason, Lonegran and Price. And don't even get me started on his managerial links. I mean, what had Nuno ever done in his career and then he had the audacity to bring him to our club. How dare he. I want the club to wash their hands of this Jorge Mendes fella.

21.) 02 Jun 2021 17:50:49
Jas M - you won that round :)

22.) 02 Jun 2021 18:47:38
Jas M by way of KO!
Incredible that so many 'fans' have already written off next season without a player being signed or a ball being kicked.
Well, if Nuno wants to take players to his supposed new club, let him. They were the ones who let him down in the first place so what's there to worry about?
The players that couldn't beat Man U's U23s, who were out run by Burnley to the small measure of 4 miles.
I would also think as part of his 'non-sacking mutual consent' pay off Wolves might have mentioned not to come back for any of his former players.

23.) 02 Jun 2021 19:00:31
Got to give him a chance if appointed, could be a huge risk, but time will tell, if nuno goes to Everton I do think he will go in for neves.

24.) 02 Jun 2021 21:06:03
We don't have to sell Neves to Everton, and it's not saying he would want to go there.

25.) 02 Jun 2021 22:58:01
Shouting Lage (r) lager lager.

26.) 03 Jun 2021 07:44:15
I like it Tommy😀.

27.) 03 Jun 2021 10:02:23
Jas, you might be wasting your time mate. Fosun out? some fans have unbelievably short memories. Let's give Bruno Lage a chance. Nuno had about 3 clubs in 4 years and he was a very secondary coach when he came to Wolves. I had to google his name! Nuno stayed with us for 4 years, which is something he's never done anywhere else.

28.) 03 Jun 2021 12:24:30
It says a lot about a minority when the current board have invested more than previous boards and delivered more in terms of success and growth than previous boards for many many years (decades even), but are still seen as not good enough, lacking ambition etc. It's always easier to spend someone else's money than to spend your own.

Mistakes have been made and will continue to be made, but a lot of things will also be done well and have been. When Nuno came in I though he'd be gone by Christmas that same year and we'd still be mid table in the Championship - I was very very wrong. If Lage is who the board want to bring he deserves to be given the chance, sometimes clubs and coaches just fit and work and none of us have a crystal ball as to how this will pan out and every successful player and manager has to start somewhere.

Personally I think going for a big named coach like Conte (or Zidane who I don't rate as a manager) are used to managing big clubs and this makes it risky. There is no guarantee of success and if they fail then it's an expensive mistake. If they succeed then the lure of managing a Real Madrid or a Juventus is too much to resist as they have no emotional attachment to their current job and a new manager then has to be brought in with his own players and staff.

29.) 03 Jun 2021 13:17:44
I agree with Alex. But I would also play devil's advocate and mention Zenga. But at least we know if Lage is wrong they won't be shy about sacking him.

I also agree about managers used to managing huge teams with huge budgets. Zidane might well not be able to work with a club our size. We have history but we aren't the size of City, Real and PSG. It's why I personally thought Stevie G would be good.

Lage is Portuguese and it seems to be him that will be announced sooner rather than later. No point moaning. It's best to be positive and get behind the guy. Maybe this squad will be well suited to him and maybe the youth will get a real chance to shine.

The one thing it does mean that our tactics will change and that teams won't be as ready for us as they have been.

Hopefully we keep Vit and Ait Nouri. Would like to see Neves stay and see him working in a midfield where he can shine. And hopefully Lage will bring on MGW's talents as the guy honestly has such ability for his age. He plays like he is 25/ 26. You forgot he is still nowhere near his prime. And Fabio with Raul up front and Neto/ Adama on the wings could be brutal (if Adama stays. If not I'm sure Podence will love it as he will become default replacement! ) And with overlapping of Ait Nouri and Semedo it could be killer. If Lage gets the team playing and plugs the holes then who is to say another push for 7th isn't possible?

30.) 03 Jun 2021 15:02:22
Good point about Zenga. Fosun pulled the plug early on him (and Lambert) . Bruno is not a top coach in terms of experience and achievements, but he is young, talented and hungry. Wolves and Bruno can grow together I hope.

31.) 03 Jun 2021 16:45:33
Lol Bruno doesn't have the best achievements. But he won the portugese league. 😂 One more than any serious trophy Wolves have won since league Cup in 1980! The sherpa van don't count.

I agree with some of the comments. I do trust a portugese coach as I think they can keep the core of the squad together. Bruno probably knows Raul for example already. It also means we can sign some players from Benfica hopefully as the portugese clubs are struggling financially.

Conte would be amazing as he is so good with wing backs. But probably would want £300m to spend. And disrupt the squad and not give the youngsters much of a chance.

If we can keep the squad and sign a cb, Box to box midfielder and a norther striker we have a great chance of a successful year next season.

32.) 03 Jun 2021 19:09:48
Try telling me and the 50000 other wolves fan's in Wembley stadium that day the Sherpa Van don't count.
If we get Lage then we will all have to get behind him and hope the core of our team, and by that I mean the Portuguese, accept his way the same as they did Nunos.
Surely a more attacking style of play will be accepted by the fan's as the football was turgid at times last season.

33.) 03 Jun 2021 20:40:27
You hit the nail on the head big cheese. The clubs is looking to compete now though not survive.

The biggest respect to fans, chairman, players and staff that have got wolves where they are today.

But we do have to move with the times. To buy the players we want to compete we need to plan to win a trophy that players would know of all around the world. Asking a Mexican about the sherpa van won't get us very far. Albeit no one can take those memories away from fans.

31 May 2021 12:07:51
Bang average Wolves winger Adama Traore is reportedly a ‘surprise target’ for Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea who want to add depth in their wing back and attacking wide areas this summer. [source: Telegraph].

TimBoy123

1.) 31 May 2021 15:05:30
Why don't fosun hold their hands up and admit their mistake, and re sign nuno. because let's face it, they ain't getting anyone better. FOSUN OUT.

2.) 31 May 2021 16:42:01
Why do you think Nuno was fired? Maybe he told Jeff if he didn't get X million in transfer funds, he was going to pursue other employment options and Jeff said OK.
We all know Nuno said in December that new players were going to come in in January and then said the solutions were from within.
Maybe it was his decision and Jeff just agreed to it.

3.) 31 May 2021 16:42:46
What does your comment have to do with my rumour. demon?

4.) 31 May 2021 16:45:56
Nuno can't coach offensive football. Nuno can't motivate a team to play 90 minutes. Nuno rejects too many players brought in. Jeff is probably tired of Nuno saying he doesn't want Mir or Cutrone or Jordao or Shabani.
It is Nuno's job as a coach to work with the players Jeff and George bring in. He is being insubordinate.

5.) 31 May 2021 16:52:31
Who said Nuno was sacked? once again silly speculation with no evidence.

6.) 31 May 2021 17:02:11
Rated, I agree but that is what demon seems to be implying.

7.) 31 May 2021 17:45:25
You've got to laugh haven't you?
Only Wolves would have fans that dislike owners after one disappointing season during a C.V. And a season in which they lose there best striker one of the most prolific in Europe before his injury.
I love how no one knows who is going to be the next manager. I think that is how it should be done. Fosun have invest millions into the club in such a short space of time. Maybe the trajectory gave some fans altitude sickness.
Personally I don't want Bruno. I think we should keep as much of the squad as possible. I'd keep Neves, Patricio, Neto, Raul, Fabio Silva, Semedo, Ait Nouri, Vitinha.
I'd look over Mir and try and get Goncalves from sporting Lisbon.
I think Coady, Boly, Saiss, Donk, Traore and Podence had to many off games last season.

8.) 31 May 2021 19:04:30
The main reason we are bad at times is Dendonkey in midfield as he offer nothing defencively and makes Neves look average due to not knowing what's around him like a headless chicken. He offers us nothing and has to go awful awful player. If anyone has seen him mark anyone I'd like to know.

9.) 31 May 2021 20:34:04
Tomboy, I saw this rumour today too. On the radio, it was mentioned that Adama was reluctant to sign his new contract as he believed Nuno was holding his attacking instinct back. It also mentioned that Fosun were not happy that Neves was being utilised too far back so he was not as involved in play as he used to be. It mentioned that Fosun were prepared to factor in the injuries to key players but realised that Nuno could not change tactics and so they are looking for someone with a plan a, b and c.

10.) 31 May 2021 21:17:42
Dendocker is a attacking midfield player when he plays for Belgium so asking him to play a defensive role of coarse he is not going to be that good in that role but you unleash him up there you will see a much better player coady IMO is still learning the defensive side again a midfielder at trade and has done and always will give you 110% on pitch who knows were all the players will end up.

11.) 31 May 2021 22:50:41
Dendoncker is a cb or defensive midfielder for Belgium.
I thought he played best at rcb when we had the injuries last season. Good on the ball and always won headers.
I agree the sqauds took us to places we could only dream of.
Coady's passion and worth ethic is second to none. Similar to levels of Moutinho in midfield before this season.
However I think they have played to the level they can at Wolves. I can't trust Coady any more with 4 at the back. I'd love to be able to. His sweeping passes to the wings have been sussed out. Not helped by the fact Doherty and Jonny would always win the flick on for Jota, Raul, Traore and Neto in the past.
It's a massive summer. The defence needs changing and we want to go more attacking.
I would trust Fonseca but in an ideal world I'd live Conte as he lives playing with wing backs.
Com'on Fosun let's get it sorted and push for Europe and a trophy this year.

12.) 31 May 2021 23:52:13
Oh look the playground is open with the Dendonkey childish namecalling.

13.) 01 Jun 2021 13:06:18
Dedonker is a good player, he is very versatile also, he has never been really able to settle into any position, but has always done a job wherever he has been put, give the lad a break.

14.) 01 Jun 2021 13:40:25
I believe that there will be players moved out because of Nuno leaving, Traore, Neves, Montinio, Boly, Coady, Patricio, Semedo, Podence and Neto fully fit all gone,

15.) 01 Jun 2021 13:42:29
Heard there will be an Exodus of players wanting to leave.

16.) 01 Jun 2021 14:34:30
Wanting to leave and being allowed to leave are 2 very different things.

17.) 01 Jun 2021 15:15:25
Heard this heard that heard this that the other.

18.) 01 Jun 2021 18:26:46
Agree with Madman our current wingers aren't linking up like the last pair.

19.) 02 Jun 2021 08:55:41
Madman it's pretty obvious who is going to be the next manager as its on every sports site going. Bruno lage. As if he has set the world on fire. So tumboy nuno couldn't coach offensive football you say, he did OK when he took us from the championship, its only been this last season we haven't done so good, and neither have a lot of other clubs either, most the football has been dire. And if you want to do well you have to keep investing in the team, not just once or twice, why do you think the top 6 are there because they invest hundreds of millions. FOSUN OUT.

20.) 02 Jun 2021 11:03:03
I am head scratching with regards to any Wolves fan that wants to see the back of Conor Coady! He leadership qualities are second to none, he is a full England international and Captained our Country. Yet certain fans say he is past it or not good enough? With his commitment, leadership qualities and footballing ability, who could play in a back 4, 5, holding midfielder, central midfielder, even right back during his early Wolves career. How can you write him off?

21.) 02 Jun 2021 21:02:34
Cyru5 can he do it at the top of the game? Do you see him in the champions league? I don't. I can see him doing a job for England as part of a back 3.but he isn't good enough technically and lack speed to be a top defender. If I wS Lage I'd be going for Laporte at Man City in a heart beat. Depending on his fitness.

Everton to try to sign Neto if they sign Nuno. I would think Neto is happy to see the back end of Nuno.

TimBoy123

1.) 04 Jun 2021 16:04:15
Brilliant for us if he does go. I mean who would turn down £50m for an injured player who won't play until November at the earliest.

2.) 04 Jun 2021 16:04:31
Might possibly be interested in a few of our players but wolves will play hardball with them, obviously Neto won’t be going anywhere being injured or raul.

3.) 04 Jun 2021 16:56:42
Playing hardball Jas, like it. No way do we want him to go.

4.) 04 Jun 2021 19:49:24
I think the point Jas was making is that nobody buys an injured player! Especially not with an injury as innocuous as Netos cause it could be recurring. If he goes it'll be in Jan, after he's proven he's recovered. 👍.

01 Jun 2021 17:45:40
If they are really thinking of selling Mir and other on loan players before the new coach is announced, does that mean the new coach is not involved in player recruitment or has he already been asked his opinion on each of these players and has decided before even seeing them on the practice pitch?

TimBoy123

1.) 01 Jun 2021 18:16:05
I think fosun have it all covered seems highly unlikely to me your question will happen.

2.) 01 Jun 2021 19:29:22
Pretty sure one of the Eds previously said the team that has him on loan had a fee agreed as part of the loan.

3.) 01 Jun 2021 23:55:55
I think if I remember rightly they were saying it was like the Afobe deal where he's already worth more than the agreed so they might also sell him straight on. I know nothing of it but the Eds info has always been pretty spot on with such matters in the last.

4.) 02 Jun 2021 13:28:38
I believe Huesca had a fee agreed if we chose to sell Mir to them. Which is academic because they can't afford him anyway plus they have been relegated. We are in control of the situation. The odds are we will sell because of the interest in Mir by a number of La Liga teams Valencia and Celta Vigo being two of them recently. Who knows!

Thing is Ken if they are selling him the same week at a profit then I suspect they can find the money (like I say similar to the Afobe deal) . As I said it was the Ed that mentioned it originally so I don't have any info myself 👍.

Sporting and Benfica are both interested in Ruben Vinagre but he's not good enough for Wolves.
I think Mendes just wants to churn some agent fees instead of thinking of the best interest of Wolves.

Thats probably because Sporting and Benfica play at a lower level than Wolves. Vinagre is great at getting forward but very average defensively, maybe you can get a way with that in Portugal? Oh and it's Mendes job to churn agents fees, it is NOT Mendes job to think of the best for Wolves! That's on the club and either you trust their judgment or you don't. Fine either way but let's not blame Mendes for just doing his job eh! 🙄.

2.) 31 May 2021 20:57:19
The Champions League is a lower level but all the Premier Teams want to qualify and win it.

3.) 31 May 2021 21:09:41
Rangers are in the Champs League, does that mean they are playing at a higher level as well then?! Or Boavista or any of the smaller league clubs that also qualify for it?! Behave! 🤣.

4.) 31 May 2021 21:14:40
Also I think you'll find Benfica haven't qualified for the Champs League, so maybe re-read my post as it was pretty clear in that I was referring to the Portuguese league (I even mentioned it) 🤣.

5.) 31 May 2021 21:51:40
Either of those teams could play in the Premier League and would finish above Wolves most of the time.

6.) 31 May 2021 23:19:31
That's not the point though is it, also I'm not convinced your right there to be honest. Please re-read my original post because the point I was making is that maybe a fb being good at the attacking side of their game but not the defensive is easier to get away with in other leagues. Just look at Semedo, he held down a starting position at Barcelona for a few years he should have been a dream signing. But as it turns out there's work to do on the defensive side of his game, farilities that are being shown up in the Prem that weren't in La Liga.

7.) 31 May 2021 23:22:15
Benfica is rated the 22nd best team - in the world. Porto is rated the 16th best team in the world. You can argue about how accurate it is but the experts are saying you are full of it.

And again I ask what that has to do with absolutely anything at all that we were originally talking about? You do seem to be struggling to follow my point so I think this will be my last post on this as I have little time for comments like 'you are full of it'!

Please try and stick to the point on these threads else it gets very tedious. Do you not understand how co-efficients and best team rankings work, who my kidding clearly you don't else you wouldn't have mentioned it, never mind then cause I've not got the patience to explain it.

Also please do remind me why we are waiting for Lage to get a work permit?! That's right because he doesn't automatically qualify as Portugal is a SECOND tier league, not my choice but those experts that you like to quote! And just a side note maybe try and debate like a grown up going forward (stick to your original point and don't use experts to tell me I'm full of it)!

Jes, I forgot how juvenile these pages get in the close season, might be time to take a break while the kids are off school! 🤣.

I'm looking forward to hearing how Cutrone's Italian U21 team does against Vitinha's Portuguese U21 team.

Wolves are in Europe and he would be playing Champions and Europa League teams almost 1/3 of the time.

So you think we should have bought him for 25 million and then sold him to Sporting for 10 million?

What does 20 games mean? 20 5 minute appearances or 20 full 80+ minute appearances?

There seems to be a change in policy. Instead of keeping a lot of players to potentially profit from them in the future, they are offloading them and using the saved wages and any money garnered from their sales to buy players for the senior team.
This is exactly what many people were advocating but now that it is happening, many of these same people are complaining.

Walter Zenga was a last-minute replacement for Lopetegui. They have been looking at Lage for more than two years in case Nuno left for Arsenal.
Big difference.
