Killman 40 million. Good business by Wolves.

NandoWWFC22

1.) 04 Jul 2024 14:18:09
Nanda totally agree get some one just as good half the price.

2.) 04 Jul 2024 14:25:55
Good for West Ham, good for Kilman and very good for us!

3.) 04 Jul 2024 15:05:00
Especially good if we now keep Neto, I like Kilman but Netos worth double in points ?

4.) 04 Jul 2024 15:07:23
He has been a good club member but everyone moves on and 40M is a spectacular price. Let's hope that it is wisely spent.

5.) 04 Jul 2024 15:49:40
£40 Mill is enough for 2 very good replacemnts. Let's hope the money goes straight in to the transfer pot.

6.) 04 Jul 2024 17:21:37
Cheers max, thanks for everything. Best of luck with West Ham.

7.) 04 Jul 2024 17:34:35
Don’t forget that Maidenhead get a percentage of the transfer fee and doubt if West Ham have paid cash.

8.) 04 Jul 2024 18:30:49
Do you think mosquerta will start now?

9.) 04 Jul 2024 19:23:14
I'd have rather kept him and sold elsewhere but hey

10.) 04 Jul 2024 19:34:52
Maidenhead get 10%

11.) 04 Jul 2024 20:04:56
Ok as long as we do have a replacement lined up.

12.) 04 Jul 2024 20:06:13
Believe West Ham had to do it as cash only, no installments or deferred payments

13.) 04 Jul 2024 20:32:15
‘According to journalist Jack Ross West Ham are yet to agree a pay structure but are about to offer Kilman a six year deal.’

14.) 04 Jul 2024 21:38:03
We'd do very well to do what you suggest Wolf. Its not easy but I imagine that there are a few irons in the fire.By the way, I understand Maidenhead get 20% of the profit not the lower figures being suggested.

15.) 05 Jul 2024 16:52:00
yes good price can anyone see jeff shi giveing £40 million to oneil noway £20 million if lucky

16.) 05 Jul 2024 16:57:19
noway do I beleave jeff moxshi will let oneil have more then

£ 20 million bank the rest

17.) 05 Jul 2024 20:58:38
Always makes me laugh with this stuff, saying they won't spend it! They already have, we've already signed (potientially) £40m worth of signings, the money has to come from somewhere I'm afraid, if ya don't belive me just ask an Everton fan! ?

18.) 06 Jul 2024 11:55:10
What’s the odds on max being in the next England squad for the October internationals now he’s at a London club. It will show the fa bias if he does and what a joke of an outfit they are

19.) 06 Jul 2024 12:33:22
already I hear may need money back for FFP why sell if the lot does not go on new players

20.) 06 Jul 2024 12:34:54
we had £20 million left from man city deal pays for ones in you may love jeff shi I dont

21.) 06 Jul 2024 15:22:26
Try reading my posts and you'll see how I feel about Shi. Doesn't mean that changes the reality of FFP does it?! Point is so far this window three players have come in with one going out, so it's frankly childish to suggest the club aren't investing! ?

22.) 10 Jul 2024 14:19:38
after what shi said about our club hate the bugger

Seems we may have a busy time of it for the remainder of the transfer window
We need (only my opinion) another striker, a keeper and an experienced centre half.
Ivan Toney, Ramsdale and I've no idea about the cb

NandoWWFC22

1.) 12 Aug 2024 11:42:34
Might be nice Nando but I think Toney far too pricey for us, and Ramsdales wages far too much also.
Think we might go for Sam.Johnson perhaps as a goalie.?

2.) 12 Aug 2024 15:50:53
Probably both want European football as well but in Ramsdales case we’ve already got a better keeper. As stated before Ramsdale isn’t just a Baggies fan he genuinely hates Wolves fans as seen at the Mol a couple of seasons back.

3.) 12 Aug 2024 15:50:58
Sam Johnstone isn't a bad call if Palace are prepared to release him, he's spent time in the region in the past.

27 Jul 2024 11:46:04
We don't want to be like Villa. We are a very unique club with our own identity our own history and a great fan base.
We do need to improve our stadium and in turn the whole match day experience.
FFP rules are operating in a way that this is very difficult to do hence Fosun are looking for investors.

NandoWWFC22

1.) 27 Jul 2024 13:31:34
Well said NandoWWFC22, Wolves should go about doing business in their own way. I don't really care what others are doing.
I know some are upset with our biggest sponsorship deal to date, but with FFP, I believe Fosun are doing what they can to bring in extra investors so we can grow the club within the restrictions to avoid punishment.

2.) 27 Jul 2024 14:20:46
Best way to develop it (fill in the corners, add another tier to each stand, start from scratch)?
How much will of this cost?

Here's an easy one, improve the match day experience, how?

3.) 27 Jul 2024 14:42:53
I've got my biggest bar bill yet. But it hasn't bought me any more beer blackfords.

4.) 27 Jul 2024 19:56:06
Best wait till building costs come down Fordhouse Jack.

24 Jul 2024 13:49:57
International airport we already have in. Dead easy to get to Wolves.
Could do with a decent hotel in the city.

NandoWWFC22

1.) 24 Jul 2024 16:10:05
40, 000, possibly, the most we need, because these are different times to the 1950s or whatever! Cheeky question, what 5 connections do Richard Stearman and ConorCoady have? FWAW.

2.) 24 Jul 2024 16:59:57
Both Lec captains at some point?

3.) 24 Jul 2024 17:00:11
Both wolves captains at some point

4.) 24 Jul 2024 17:53:44
Halfpenny Green is not an international airport though.

5.) 24 Jul 2024 20:53:21
I always call it Wolverhampton International tbh

6.) 25 Jul 2024 17:21:36
Both played for wolves, Leicester, Sheffield United, and Huddersfield at some stage.

24 Jul 2024 02:08:00
I've said it before and I'll say it again. The club needs to improve the match day experience. Better and bigger stadium is a must.

NandoWWFC22

1.) 24 Jul 2024 06:59:44
And a hotel. An international airport, would that be too much to ask?

2.) 24 Jul 2024 08:42:56
Do not forget the bikini clad waitresses to fetch your pie and your pint.

3.) 24 Jul 2024 09:43:18
Molineux used to hold over 60, 000 and was surrounded by houses.
The footprint is plenty big enough to expand.
Spurs did it.

4.) 24 Jul 2024 09:49:27
A bigger better half full stadium dosnt enhance the matchday experience Nando. It's about balance and finances as bullysboy outlines below. I want to see the game on the pitch reflected in the atmosphere and if we're doing well that would maybe warrant the bigger crowd, when we're doing badly it'd be a huge on-cost every game a possibly a 'ghost' ground. Be careful what you wish for. But certainly the mol could do with a 'tidying up'. A lick of paint wouldn't go amiss.

5.) 24 Jul 2024 09:52:05
Fordhouses.
That'll be Halfpenny Green International Airport and Farty Towels Hotel.

baza well have a Hooters Bar and Restaurant.

6.) 24 Jul 2024 09:58:58
Sorry Nando but as a 20th century ‘Dinosaur’ who has recently given up their s/t I really don’t understand what a match day experience is. It used to be standing in a 40-50, 000 crowd passionately supporting the Wolves and hoping they won and played well.

7.) 24 Jul 2024 10:22:29
E, didn't Spurs purchase the land which had some derelict buildings and then spend over £1b to win nothing. No point having a big stadium if the team is rubbish. Wolves will find it a lot harder to expand the stadium outwards due to existing buildings. I can't see Wolverhampton Uni or Asda wanting to move very easily. Spurs were lucky as there was land available to build exactly what they wanted. Wolves are not in the same position.

8.) 24 Jul 2024 11:48:38
Photos of the ground from the 1950’s show houses in Molineux street almost touching the Molineux Street stand.
The South Bank used to hold 30, 000 alone and the land didn’t disappear when Sir Jack built the new South Bank.
The land is still there.
There is no need to move the Asda as the North Bank car park is huge with plenty of land.
The Steve Bull stand needs the pitch moving closer to it so the University buildings wouldn’t need to move.
Why did the previous owner SM who knows a bit about building start the new stadium if he thought there wasn’t enough land to complete the job?

9.) 24 Jul 2024 12:20:46
James Rodriguez, anyone

10.) 24 Jul 2024 12:39:37
You seem to have forgotten about seating E. In round terms, a seat takes up the space of two standing people so an all seater stadium of 30, 000 would equate to a 60, 000 standing capacity.Pricing strategy also needs to be factored in and it will be interesting to see if the recent major hike has an impact on attendances. While it would be nice to have a bigger and better stadium, success doesn't hinge on that.Bayer Leverkeusen have managed to win the Bundesliga on a 30, 000 capacity which is much smaller than many German clubs, Girona have managed to qualify for the Champions League on a less than 15, 000 capacity, so have Atalanta on 21, 500. Arguably, the standard of the German, Spanish and Italian leagues is better than the Premier League at the moment. Success above all else hinges on having a top scouting network to unearth gems at an early stage. We seem to be edging towards being able to do this now that the failed buy big policy has been consigned to the rubbish bin.

11.) 24 Jul 2024 13:03:33
A good point but didn't he only want a 40k capacity. Fosun are looking for a 55-60k capacity.

I don't know the answer but it seems that the owners will never be popular no matter what they decide.

If they build the stadium, they'll be accused of neglecting the playing squad.

If they invest in the squad, they be accused of ignoring the fans pleas for a bigger stadium.

I wouldn't use Villa as an example as they are still in danger of breaching PSR. Their stadium expansion is possible as it is a subsidiary company that owns the ground, not Villa themselves.

Arsenal built a massive new stadium but have never won the League since.

Spurs have spent £1b on a new stadium and they've got worse year on year.

Bolton a few years ago built a lovely new stadium. Where are they now? Ditto Huddersfield, Reading and Portsmouth.

Also what benefit would a big new stadium be to you as you clearly lambast the owners about everything they ever do from signing new players to arranging the biggest shirt sponsorship in our history.

12.) 24 Jul 2024 13:10:25
Your right E, Morgan did know about building sadly he new a lot less than Fosun about squad building. Which is precisely why we ended up with one of the best stadiums in League One! There's no easy route to success guys, it took Fosun a while to realise that and they are currently trying to cut the cloth accordingly. Yes I would like a better stadium but it still wouldn't make any difference to our transfer budgets/league standing I'm afraid.

13.) 24 Jul 2024 13:28:42
Why did the club release photos of how the stadium could look at the end of dinner awards 2018/19 saying they were planning to expand to 50, 000 with a single tier South Bank if they knew it couldn’t be done?
The first step was going to be to knock down the Steve Bull so thankfully someone stopped them doing that.

14.) 24 Jul 2024 13:37:31
I could probably fit 40 people in my shed, but if they all brought a deck chair, 25 of them would be sitting on my lawn

15.) 24 Jul 2024 13:52:53
Didn't Fosun come out and say that they are putting the plans on hold as they want to explore all options.

The plans you mention do indeed have a single tier South Bank. I know Covid made the club rethink as the finances suffered.

Hopefully there are fans afoot.

16.) 24 Jul 2024 14:10:50
Any more info on the Chalobah signing WS?

17.) 24 Jul 2024 14:59:40
No. It's now being reported that he's in talks with Villa.

18.) 24 Jul 2024 15:01:54
As I said, it was just a rumour. I'm not ITK or anything. Just thought a rumour of a transfer would fulfil the criteria for a rumours site.

11 Jul 2024 23:24:28
So Southgate has got us to a semi and two finals but some still want him gone.

NandoWWFC22

1.) 12 Jul 2024 06:13:26
We have a some world-class players, but sadly not a world-class team. However, the good news is those world-class players are producing moments of brilliance to keep us moving forward.
That has been the same for a few years and I expect us to win on Sunday.thanks to the players.

2.) 12 Jul 2024 10:13:41
Southgate didn't have a great premier league career as a manager, a couple of seasons at Middlesbrough if I recall correctly. I would say he us a far better manager than coach. Gary Neville hit the nail bang on the head when he said as a player, as well as better players than him and the managers didn't have a clue how to get through tournaments. Southgate has worked through the lower ranks of the FA and was probably appointed because no one else wanted the job. Maybe that's what we've done right without knowing it, he's had close to 10 years or more to look at every aspect of what we are doing to prepare and identified the issues costing us. How many times have I heard prior managers say we don't prepare for penalties!. Yes the team selection will always be criticised but in fairness the available pool is now so much smaller than Ramsey had available and a Holland 74 or Hungary 54 only come along once in a blue moon (and they never won it) so we need to get tge most out of what we've got, which means selecting competent professionals.

I would say we've moved from a last 16/8 expectation to a last 8/4 expectation (what Germany were in the 70s and 80s). This is the most successful spell I can remember, let's not do something daft because we aren't playing like Brazil 70.

3.) 12 Jul 2024 12:19:20
He is not someone that use tactics. He picks the same team regardless of who is playing well, use tournaments to try experiments rather than trying things out in friendlies, and also utilizes players who are past their sell by date in friendlies (Hendo) when they are not going to be apart of the tournament. He relies on the big players to get him out of the mess, and is probably the luckiest manager I know as we have seemed to get some great draws in these competitions. I would like there to be a chance. Yes a semi final and two finals are great but you don’t get anything for being a runner up. I would like to see Klopp come in to be honest especially as the media is saying he could go to USA.

4.) 12 Jul 2024 12:24:20
Posters who want Southgate gone don’t understand tournament football.
It’s a marathon not a sprint.
No point peaking too early, showing your hand and getting knocked out of the competition.

5.) 12 Jul 2024 13:59:13
So bellingham's overhead goal in the 94th minute was all part of his plan then E in Bridgenorth? We've, Southgate, has been lucky upto Holland, even then VAR helped out.
But we're in the final and I think we can do it if we clamp down quick on the Spaniards. Let's play with the drive and passion we showed the other night and we won't need help or luck.

6.) 12 Jul 2024 15:02:24
All part of Gareth’s master plan Abbey.
That’s why he kept Bellingham on when he was looking tired and other managers may have brought him off.
Just shows that football is about small margins for success or failure.
Sliding doors.

7.) 12 Jul 2024 15:19:32
So I guess all the previous managers were unlucky even though we had the golden generation etc with quite a few world class players before. People seem to forget Iceland with Roy who arguably had better prem experience than Southgate. I think Southgate’s main skill is helping the players to not listen to the media hype and the expectation of the fans. We really are an entitled nation. Comments about draws being easier shows disrespect to other nations because they don’t have glamorous names like Italy or Germany. Might be worth remembering some of those names weren’t on our side as they couldn’t win their groups against the likes of Austria etc. consecutive euro finals yet it’s just down to luck, comical really.

8.) 12 Jul 2024 15:21:38
First time poster. A North Bank relic. I'm 61 and don't remember 1966. I hope to see a major championship win before I pass (and a Wolves trophy). I don't care how we get it. With all of his boring tactics and luck Southgate has got us to two finals on the bounce. I'll take it.

9.) 12 Jul 2024 21:13:12
I don't like Southgates style of football but as long as we win, I don't mind.

10.) 13 Jul 2024 09:17:31
We could do a lot worse than Southgate. We have done in the past.
It would be wonderful if we win tomorrow, it would give the country such a boost.

11.) 13 Jul 2024 14:49:24
England don’t have a world class team? Erm…. Okay? Name another team with as many players in the same league of ability as Foden, Bellingham, Mainoo, Saka, Kane, etc. I mean the likes of Stones, walker and Trent have won champions leagues! I don’t get that attitude. England have a fantastic team on paper.

That’s the problem. Is getting them to play as a team. And fitting in all our best players. That’s the problem for all national sides. What do you do if your best 11 means you have to play 1-2-4-3 haha.

I am one of those that wanted Southgate gone. But maybe this was his plan? Play to match the team and conserve energy and stamina to avoid injury and then in the latter stages go all out? And if England do the same against Spain it will probably leave them shellshocked like the Dutch were.

No reason why England can’t finally win a trophy and Southgate would deserve plaudits as he has played it tactically and perhaps deserves one last shot at the World Cup? The players will have the belief.

12.) 13 Jul 2024 16:28:12
Wanderers 1877, fenrir, I was reading today how Ramsey was criticised in the early rounds of 66, then after trial and error got it right in the semi and of course final. Maybe Southgate has gone on that learning curve and it will come to fruition tomorrow, we can but hope. We have the players, if they forego their egos and play as one with desire and confidence we'll do it.

13.) 13 Jul 2024 19:22:21
I recall 1966 being an old one, Ramsey had the balls to drop Jimmy Greaves, one of the best goal scorers ever. He played Geoff Hurst, the rest is history. He was slated for that decision, but his gamble paid off. Fine margins indeed.

14.) 13 Jul 2024 21:01:18
Jimmy Greaves wasn't dropped. He got injured and replaced by Geoff Hurst for the Semi final and just wasn't reinstated as he wasn't 100% fit.

15.) 14 Jul 2024 08:49:21
Or as rumours had it, greaves was liking the pop abit too much for ramsey's liking.

Well said mikebayleaf
If England win every game from now on by one nil and win the final by an own goal I don't care. History will never say how but but how many.
