I think like a lot of you that GoN has to go. So who to replace him with Moyes or Potter seem to be top of the list however many saying no decent manager will come because of Fosun .
I don't understand that logic. If as widely stated Fosun want to sell the keeping us in the EPl is a priority.
Get a decent manager and recruit a couple of CB in January. Decide on the formation and style and we have enough in the squad to stay up.
We need a change and we need it now.

Since the Coventry defeat last season, we have played 17 PL matches and gained 6 points from the 51 available. In those 17 matches we have won 1, drawn 3 and lost 13 matches.

In effect, GON has 1 game to save his job. We will lose to Man City and Brighton. That makes the Palace game monumental. They did the double over us last season and they were comfortable doing it too.
I think we've down. I said a few weeks ago that we'll get the lowest points total in Premier League history and nothing coming out of the club since the last defeat has changed my opinion.
Sam Johnstone or Jose Sa in goal doesn't matter because if you continually allow the opposition 10 goal scoring opportunities a game, then they'll more often than not score at least 3 goals. That's what we did against Chelsea and Brentford.

If such a deal came to fruition there would be at least two problems coming down the track:
1. Ramsdale’s future salary expectations and its impact on the salary budget and subsequent group salary expectations;
2. Not sure spending £25m next year on this goal keeper will leave much room for further acquisitions (if this transfer window to date is any measure) in the 2025 Summer Window.
With the sourcing of young players with bright futures can’t we go down this route and retain the current ‘keeping staff’ until a new young goalkeeper is ready?

What gets me is the change from Hi Ho before kick off, a rousing up for it crowd involved anthem to a soft easy going mary Hopkins those were the days, hardly getting the pulse going.

I suppose like most I'm disappointed with yesterday, not just the result but the performance. Just like in many game prior the mid field was over run. Now I don't blame Andrea or Gomes but they need a third in there.
The back four seems to work better than the back five.
And no one should blame krejci for the OG, if anything he was probably the best player we had.

Looks as if VP has the full backing of the board ( a death knell to a head coach) and is supposedly planning for January transfer market.
I hope and pray he picks a system and sticks to it until then . Recent performances would suggest a back four would be best.
Positives for me have been the improvement in Johnson in goal, Krijci in the back four . Andrea.
Hwang offers nothing and is a ghost when he plays, Bellergard is not consistent and Hugo has not done enough. Not much to choice up top but I would favour JSL and Arias as a 10.

Understandable Nando, but we gave GON too much time, I don't think we can buy ourselves out this time, or, are capable of the 6 wins.
Who would want to come in?
VP wanted to manage in the Prem after China and Saudi I think we'll his credibility is going if not gone at this level. His honeymoon with wolves fans will also soon be over, and he won't find a better bunch who've supported him through our losses and dull performances.
I don't blame the players (bar one) they've been sent out to play in a way against their grain, or so it appears to me.
So what's to be done? Are Fosun happy to oversee the demise of this famous club? Who and how would they coax any quality manager and staff to us?
They've thrown good money after bad every season since Nuno whilst neglecting to spend on proven players.
The performance today was at VPs door, explanations communications maybe, tactical decisions definitely.

Bruno Lage played attacking football but wasn't backed. Julen Lopetegui played efficient football but wasn't backed. GON was sold down the river. VP has been backed but this is some of the worst football I've seen since the Dean Saunders days.

I know it was on Sky and Brighton aren't exactly what I would call an attractive team, but there was a lot of empty seats in the home section today. TBH I don't go too much these days, but can hardly blame those that are choosing to spend their money elsewhere. That performance was as poor as it gets. Absolutely no movement off the ball. So frustrating to watch and to concede due to lack of concentration is totally unprofessional. It was a good headed goal, but we just switched off and allowed them to get a cross in. Two points dropped against a very poor Brighton side. Sorry VP but no excuses now. Hwang is useless and we are playing 10 V 11 with him in the side. Not sure why Hugo was taken off. Missed the boat with moyes. he kept west ham safe and look what he's doing at Everton. If vp carries on doing what he's done the past 2 weeks from winning positions we'll be lucky to get 3 draws. I'm not saying vp needs to go but he's getting everything wrong at the moment. Agbadou . Hwang and bellegarde should be nowhere near any premier team. I personally can't see us getting out of this mess. Larson pissed off now aswell so can see him leaving in jan and krejik seems to be the only bright spark we got + bueno playing well with him till vp stuck Agbadou amongst them.

Should give VP 3 more games. Should never have offered him a new deal until there were a reasonable number of points on the board this season. Same mistake as last season. It's criminal.
In terms of who to go for - I have no idea. Potter wasn't the answer last time and still wouldn't be. Could go with an unknown from Europe, that's a massive risk that may or may not pay off.
It would likely be a manager out of work when the time comes for the change. The bigger worry going on our track record is the board would hire Solksjaer or Southgate.

Now Sunderland were backed and look at um fly, as peeps have said ALL summer we've sold our goals and this is what that looks like I'm afraid! Yes the team is probably better than our position to the league but that's just what happens in the Prem when you don't have enough quality to take your chances. We should have been a goal clear BEFORE they scored on Sunday. Same story as the week before and I suspect it's one that won't be changing anytime soon ?

Got to say that a result against Burnley whist probable is not the turning point. The performance is everything.
We have not only lot all league games but the style of football is very boring and let’s face it very poor.
If VP can’t turn it around in the next couple of games then it tie to pull the plug.
Who next I hear you cry. Well personally I would go for Muscat or Marco Silva.
