The deal for Matthis Abline is more advanced than we think. Wolves willing to pay up to €35m inc add ons.

Andy Diouf also open to joining Wolves talks ongoing with Lens

Next week we will see a significant acceleration in our negotiations.

Kettwolf 16 have anyone you ever signed for Wolves. If yes tell me who and when and I'm talking the last 2 seasons

3.) 09 Aug 2025 18:10:48
The guy doesn't reply to anyone, he just throws out names to which not a single one ever comes to fruition. Whether he actually has sources we'll never know, but if he does they don't seem to be very accurate

4.) 10 Aug 2025 05:34:39
Will Wolves offer Nantes what they are asking for, 50m?
I can't see it but what if they offered Hwang + 25m?
Could Nantes be interested?
Abline would be far better than Hwang and Guedes put together and taking the pre-season games into account, we could certainly do with a goalscorer from somewhere!

5.) 10 Aug 2025 10:13:52
Friendlies mean nothing in terms of results, they are there for experiments and getting players match fit.Players are not going to be fully switched on and also don't want to get a silly injury so no need for all this doom and gloom. Not the best pre season for transfers as usual but expect a couple or 3 signi gs before window shuts.Lets see how we do v Man City but think we will have 5 points after opening 3 games.

Wolves are looking at a busy end to the window once Fabio Silva is sold much of our action will take place

David Datro Fofana earmarked along with Andy Diouf

Wolves are active in the market. However the best deals always come near the end of the window thank you for your patience.

Hope you are correct Kettywolf6, think we need a few additions yet, what happens if we lose Andre and Joao in midfield, only Bellegarde left. Surely with all the players leaving this frees up foreign players spacing.

2.) 07 Aug 2025 12:54:44
Banksy51 Wolves have there quota of foreign players they need to sell to get somebody else in Silva Whang Bueno LB or the CH that frees up 3 or 4 spaces.

3.) 07 Aug 2025 14:18:51
Guess we can buy more foreign players in Shada123 before deciding who we can sell? Is it just a case of having the correct quota when transfer window closes.

4.) 07 Aug 2025 15:48:50
You forgot Sasa and Hoever as well.free 2 more places up.

5.) 07 Aug 2025 17:09:24
Why are you trusting the words of someone who willingly calls themselves 'kettywolf'?

6.) 07 Aug 2025 17:35:49
Hoever is homegrown madman so not taking up a foreign place (neither is Hugo Bueno)

06 Aug 2025 08:59:37
Renato Veiga high on our wanted list LB and CM but Chelsea want €35m blocking any kind of deal Wolves can offer at the moment.

Kettywolf6

1.) 06 Aug 2025 10:18:08
You are coming up with names, although this is one I think is worth every penny.
Veiga doesn't see himself as a LB or a CM he wants to play CB.
Think he would be a good acquisition though a back 3 of:
Agbadou-Veiga-Toti

Or Doc-Agbadou-Veiga

The cover he offers in midfield even later in games shouldn't be underestimated either £30m for a player that gives us a technical upgrade and squad depth in case of injuries.

Worth every penny.wouldn't hate Dendoncker coming back for two years to though. As he offers a manner at rcb and in midfield for a modest fee. Also I like how he has played at a decent level for 8 years now so that is worth getting in the squad as well.

2.) 06 Aug 2025 10:29:03
I would be very keen myself but Euro 35m is roughly what Wolves got for RAN .Not it seems everyone's cup of tea but come on Veiga is not even the 2nd choice LB at Chelsea.
Either he is very expensive or RAN was super cheap.
Of course Chelsea, (and all the bigger teams), hold all the cards when negotiating with the weaker teams.
They have dozens of good players and apparently no financial restrictions, (both because of the hundreds of millions of extra revenue they have but also because seemingly the authorities take a somewhat different view re regulation to them - Man City?).
Consequently they can not only hoover up all the young talent from weak teams youth programs for nominal sums, "force" the weak teams to sell any decent players they may have discovered at their prices but also because the weak teams have almost nowhere else to go, ( the big teams having dozens of surplus good players due to having swept up almost all the talent previously), to get half decent players, sell the weak teams their 2nd and 3rd choice players the weak teams desperately need to put out a side capable of competing in the lower levels of the league again at their prices.
The big teams then not surprisingly win all the tournaments and get even richer whilst the badly run weak teams make up numbers for a period of time before being replaced by another small team.
Makes the NBA seem very attractive.

3.) 06 Aug 2025 11:49:08
The guy's just throwing out random names, nothing he says has any credence

4.) 06 Aug 2025 12:41:05
TFIOG I think this is the type of player that you want in the club though. Wants to play as a CB and is still young to build around.
This transfer would be similar to Botman a few years ago we should sanction the move if possible.
As Botman was one that got away.
The RWB from Dortmund looks astute as well with plenty of experience.
Still think we need a LCB, x2 CM and a forward but I think there may be some loans in there.
Interesting to see if Hwang stays aswell.

5.) 06 Aug 2025 14:43:51
considering how much they like harvey elliot, it would be a surprise if they spent that much on one defender .

6.) 06 Aug 2025 15:29:20
I fully agree with what you say Thefurureisgold1.

Football has been ruined for years now because of all the money, a different set of rules for the big six. I don't see any change happening to shake the game up - so I have basically lost interest. Unless the game is fair for all clubs in the Premier EVERY year then as you say the rich get richer, leaving the rest to fight for middle of the table or relegation.

If the league WAS fair then occasionally you would see the likes of Liverpool or Man City or Arsenal fighting it out at the bottom. A lifelong supporter of the Wolves and I will always follow them but with almost no hope of winning anything. Mind you the weather is lovely!

7.) 06 Aug 2025 18:06:59
Interesting comparison Hanged man. I think we were interested before the U21 euros in Elliott and Mcatee think boths profile have increased from that tournament and they are seen differently. Elliott with the loss of Jota. Mcatee as pure profit for city. They are both also seen as players on a development pathway for England to give England the best chance at WC 2026 both at an age where they should be contributing.

Veiga a bit different as he is a Mendes client so means wolves have a finger on that pulse.

Seems like different clubs have benefitted over the seasons with PSR, VAR etc.
The question I have is during Covid there was a club believe it was Arsenal spending £70m a week that is a phenomenal amount I wonder how they got round it?
But Utd, Spurs and others were also guilty during this period.
Where wolves paid and were part of the community at the time.

8.) 06 Aug 2025 19:42:54
Eliott will be worth 100mil 1day.just sign him wotever the cost.but we wont.missing out again.we never learn.truly.fosun should just do1.and let us try to move on.coz we will go down.sooner rather than later.s.a.t.

9.) 06 Aug 2025 21:01:32
Elliot in a pivot behind Arias, Larsen and Lopez would be mouthwatering . Fosun seem reluctant these days to do those types of signings, but it’s more than worth it in the long term .

10.) 06 Aug 2025 21:05:06
As I said Buxwolf it may not be the money. It maybe that they are star struck with how many clubs are interested in them both.
McAtee flew to Leverkusen to check out the facilities. Believe both are 4 years old than Bellingham and Sancho when they went to Germany so its a big decision plus moving to Germany if its not Bayern you are practically resigned to not winning much.
It would be a hard decision good to see that they are both grounded to think about it with a WC space at stake.

11.) 07 Aug 2025 07:49:33
Madman- completely agree, Veiga is a player I have mentioned here several times. Also agree re your Botman comment.
However I just don't think Wolves have the resources to spend that sort of the money if they are to cover all the holes that now exist in the squad.
Also if they were to spend that big I would prefer it was on a striker - the boy going from Nice to Villa is a real prospect who I may have gone all in on.
It is however worth noting that I suspect the fear of another bad deal will weigh heavily - roughly 1 in 3 are a success (totally subjective view and I suspect no different to most other clubs of course however)
Finally it sticks in the craw the way Chelsea, (and of course the other big teams - see BuxWolf's comment on Elliot "bought" from Fulham for pennies only to be flipped for one suspects multi millions), controls the market. Bought for a v modest fee, after he has played a handful of games in Italy, they want to treble his value and make a huge profit.
Of course the small teams can like it or lump it they have no choice.
Don't buy him and do what?
Anyone who is clearly good enough they can hoover up simply by offering substantially higher wages and of course the false promise of a career at the top of the league - most naturally will end up at the smaller teams but only once the big teams will have ripped huge amounts of cash out of the deal!
Oh dear I'm not feeling optimistic - that has surprised you hasn't it!

Not a chance, the way we let players go for next to nothing 'there wouldn't be much point
