Gary O'Neil will get the Sack after the next 2 games, Man City and Villa, making excuses after lastnite humiliation against an Ipswich team who also played their reserves, looking at Shi's face at lastnite game with Hobbs they have seen enough. GON is not good enough for us, he is out his depth in the Premiership. Get Nuno back he knows the club and majority of players, fans will unite with Nuno.

Nuno won't be coming back, Shi is the one who needs to be removed, whatever has gone on from end of last season seems to be dragging on, the wheels cannot just fall off, O'Neil seems to have abig job on his hands with a small back room team . It would be great to see him get ahead, I just don't feel it at minute, fitness seems to be a big issue. Rant over, I have kept my opinions to myself As I like to be positive, Hoping for a miracle At the weekend, or it going to be along day all round to watch it

2.) 27 Sep 2023 18:41:36
Nuno is on a 6 figure salary we can not afford him so stop with this Nuno back nonsense it is never happening.

3.) 27 Sep 2023 19:03:27
Kally1, why did Nuno leave in the first place?

What has he done since to suggest he will be a success here again?

We need to get behind Gary O'Neil. We may not think he's the right man for the job but whilst he's here, we need to back him 100%

4.) 28 Sep 2023 08:09:42
Nuno left because he asked for money to build the squad and was told no.hed taken us as far as he could without investment and selling players like jota.its after his 3rd ssn we shudv backed him but we ended up with lage and look atus now

5.) 28 Sep 2023 09:32:46
We would look a bigger shambles than we are if we said goodbye to GON after so little time in the position. Having said that I don't feel he is the answer to our problems, he doesn't have the experience and his non existent cv will not give the squad any faith that he can steer them forward. He will lose the dressing room soon if he hasn't already and it will be a rapid spiral downward after that. Tough fixtures coming up with no real expectations of gaining any points, it will go from bad to worse as the players morale disappears.
It's a matter of timing for the club, GON will depart sooner or later I just hope that negotiations are already underway for his successor.

6.) 28 Sep 2023 12:27:24
Every manager has had a problem with Shi.does anyone think that will change with a new one?
The Club is a basket case. The 4+ years of Shi's direct control have been a disaster.
The 3 years under Dalrymple and the then senior team.success.
After that, we have been spiraling back to the Darkness.

7.) 28 Sep 2023 12:56:22
Jeff is out of his depth. Gary O'Neil is still learning but Jeff thinks he knows it all. There is a difference.

8.) 29 Sep 2023 01:54:12
Nuno will never come back, Shi will never be replaced its a Chinese business run by Chinese managers Shi might be a good businessman but knows nothing about football, he relied on Mendes for our transfer business and dspite a few good players we got a lot of players who didn't want to be here but it brought them to the notice of other premiership clubs. O'Neil is on a three year contract which will have to be paid out if sacked and who wants to come to a club with a budget of zero.

9.) 29 Sep 2023 06:24:13
BondiWolf, you are being too kind to Shi saying he is a good business man, the 7 years of facts say not!

10.) 29 Sep 2023 15:04:26
Get J.Lo back he still living in the area.

11.) 29 Sep 2023 16:31:15
Jas Mann Nuno was pushed out by Fosun, sold Jota and Doherty and then bought Fabio for a ridiculous fee. Nuno didn't want to leave, so don't know where ya coming from with what's he done then, been Spurs, won the Saudi Pro league last season and sitting top of the league this season,

12.) 29 Sep 2023 16:39:43
Wolves sold Jota because they had a healthy Neto.
You can't predict injuries.
Are we missing Jota this season?

13.) 29 Sep 2023 17:55:30
Hi everyone. Used the site for a long time but never posted so please be gentle . I would have Nuno back in a heartbeat since he left we seem to have lost the togetherness as a football club. He was the heart of the team the team that played the best football a lot of us had ever seen at the golden palace

14.) 30 Sep 2023 13:51:26
Nuno had a dream he built the football team for big Jeff to turn it in to a nightmare . We will be lucky to get away with 5 nil today

15.) 30 Sep 2023 17:19:04
Won't get the sack now Kally1

16.) 30 Sep 2023 18:02:56
GON obviously lost the dressing room!

Talk about negativity, try supporting if you're a supporter. The doom merchants have been silenced, or perhaps this was a fluke and we're still going down. As was said on the commentary we were the better team today.
UTW!

Cannot see G. O'Neil lasting in the job by October, my advice go back to playing 3 at tha back maybe bring Johnny and Doherty as wing backs, he needs to work on making the Team solid first, shocking second half performance, last 2 games.4 defeats in 5 games, lose against Luton the writing is on the Wall for him.

Kally1

1.) 17 Sep 2023 19:16:32
When was the last time we played 3 at the back?

2.) 17 Sep 2023 20:44:40
Let's not forget who we were playing. A team with one of the most potent forward lines in the division, a settled team with a manager who has been in situ for several years whereas we have a team that is being put together over the past few weeks by a manager who has been in situ for the matter of two months or so. What do people expect the outcome to be? Time to understand the reality of our situation and realise that what GON is trying to do will take some time so let's reserve judgement for a while.

3.) 18 Sep 2023 09:13:13
Quite right Derry, how can you expect a new manager to come in and compete with a team like Pool in his opening two months. Remind me though how did we do in that fixture last season and how long had Lope been in place?! That's right he'd been here two months and we won 3-0!
This is now my biggest problem with GON, I was unhappy with the result but it's Pool so I was trying to just move on. Then I saw Gary's post match interview and frankly it made my blood boil! Cause Gary's explanation for the performance was basically 'well it's Liverpool, with the gulf in quality we did well to compete for 45 mins' I'm sorry but what absolute defeatist dross! Liverpool were absolutely woeful first half and only made the second half look easy through our own mistakes! Sorry Gary but what you seem to be saying is that there are teams in this league that even when at home we shouldn't expect to be able to compete with and I have two very real problems with that. Firstly it's an absolutely shocking attitude to have around the players and I hate to say it may well explain our current game plan of solid first half, followed by a second half compitulation! Secondly Gary, we HAVE competed with all of the best teams in this league on our day and there's only one real variable that's changed since and I'm afraid its you!
Now I'm not saying we should be expecting to win agaisnt Pool 3-0 just cause we did last season. But I am saying it should be an absolute basic level of expectation that we compete with all teams, for 90 mins, when playing at HOME!
As I've said before GON comes across well but I fear this job has come too soon. I seriously hope he proves me wrong but to do that these players need some confidence, not sure they are going to get that from a manager who's post match interview is the equivalent of shrugging and going 'well it's Liverpool, what ya going to do'?! Sorry but that's a terrible attitude and will only become a self fulfilling situation if he's not careful! C'mon Gary, have some belief in these players cause if you don't they won't it really is that simple for me! ?

4.) 18 Sep 2023 10:01:07
Good points Bully and succinctly put. I think that I am trying to maintain a positive outlook and give the benefit of the doubt, however, the next match may well bring a change of view.

5.) 18 Sep 2023 10:09:41
Haha, apologies Derry buddy I wasn't intending to specifically aim that at you. More aimed at GON and his expectations rather than yous. As I appreciate you are just trying to give him a chance, let's hope he takes that chance next game ?

6.) 18 Sep 2023 12:37:09
Considering how late in the transfer window we changed head coach and belatedly bought in a few players, we still managed to out-play Man U for 90 minutes and Liverpool for 45 minutes!

Recruiting early in the window didn't work out well for Man U!

7.) 18 Sep 2023 13:41:22
True Deep but we also took absolutely nothing from either of those games. More alarmingly our very own manager had apparently accepted before ko in either match that as little old Wolves we shouldn't have expected to get anything from those games?! Tell that to De Zerbi cause he doesn't bow his head to big teams and seems to work out OK for him! ?

8.) 18 Sep 2023 14:21:11
It's hard to argue with your comments Bullys, but some might say he's being realistic or needs more time to find his feet and fully integrate the new signings.

However, on paper we still have a very gifted group of footballers, more than capable of competing if lead from the front, so maybe a bit less defeatism might help.

9.) 18 Sep 2023 18:50:02
Bully, of course we lost, that's not my point. But the fact that we literally outplayed Man U and Liverpool for extended periods bodes well for me, and will pay dividends in wins. The second Liverpool goal was from a mistake by our keeper and the third came from a cruel deflection when we were chasing the game. At 1-1 the commentators were saying that both teams were going for the win. And don't forget how we outplayed Man U either. Give credit where credit is due.

10.) 18 Sep 2023 19:41:24
'Of course we lost' careful your starting to sound a bit like our manager there Deep! I would also say Deep that yes we did outplay those teams but was that us or them, cause in Pools case as soon as they started actually playing we crumbled like a school built in the 60s!
And if the commentators were saying that at 1-1 they were being typically cliched about things as at that point we hadn't seen the Pool area for the whole of the second half! Add to that we had swapped Hwang (a striker) for Doherty (a right back) which (let's be honest) as it came 5 mins after they equalised it doesn't really feel like the sort of thing a chasing team does?!
I am happy to give credit for playing well but it doesn't change the realities I'm afraid which is no points from either game! It also doesn't mean that I have to like our manager telling us (and more to the point the team) that it's a free pass agaisnt any top end teams when we play at home!
Tell me this Deep do you think Lope was telling the squad about 'gulfs in quality' (that's a direct quote from Gary btw) when we beat Liverpool 3-0 in the same fixture last season?! Of course he didn't, Gary has to learn and he has to learn fast! Quite simply, if you are to have any chance of beating the best teams it all starts with believing you can, even Mad Mick new that! Frankly it's the difference between being a manager and being a coach and if he wants to survive in this role Gary needs to realise that and start projecting himself like an ACTUAL Prem manager! ?

Could someone please explain Nunes going for 47.2 million without add ons, Tommy Doyle on loan option of 5 million to buy end of season with a huge sell on fee, but yet we wanted 60 million for Nunes,

Gon will be gone soon, Luton big game we lose that one the Man City and Villa he will lose his job. One thing I notice is that under J. Lo he toughened tha defence and team got the results we needed tha team look a lot fitter but under GoN we are too vulnerable at the back and also he reminds of Lage, the players wasn't fit enough, Second half they would fade,

Give Gary O'Neil a chance, we will not stay up, unless he can bring in central defender, Centre forward, Fosun don't want to do that, so hopefully there are 3 worst teams than Wolves, under J.Lo I really don't think we would have lost 4-1 yesterday, we would have been more solid defensively, the goals we conceded were all bad defensively.
