Any body got any ideas on what tactics VP will use against Burnley. I saw he was not happy with long balls against Sunderland. Against Brighton we had 11 behind the ball but still just kicked it up the pitch. Creativity and flair seems a thing of the past.

I'm no football manager but VP is a creature of habit and will start with a 442 of Johnstone, Tchatchoua, Santi, Krejci, Hugo, Arias, Andre, Gomes, Munetsi, Hwang, JSL.
We'll take the lead then he'll bring on Agbadou for Andre, Bellegarde for Hwang, Rodrigo for Arias, Moller Wolf for Hugo and Tolu for JSL.
We'll end up conceding and then try and play intricate football in our own half for 10 minutes then go gung ho in added time looking for a winner.
We that's what we've done for the last 8 league matches so I can't see that changing any time soon.
The good news is that hopefully, Fosun have used this week to talk to potential replacements who, should we fail to win on Sunday, should be sacked within minutes of the final whistle. But let's not forget that Jeff Shi operates on another planet so will more than likely offer VP a contract extension.

Sorry 449 tactics are something Vp doesn't have, can't defend, can't score. It will be the usual play out from the back, get as far as the half way line, then stop and play it back. Slow and ponderous, giving teams lots of time to defend against us. Gone are the Nuno days when we broke with speed and gave teams no chance to regroup. We had top players then who were quickly sold for profit and replaced with inferior players. This policy has caught up with them, we have ended up with virtually no quality Premier ballers.

Time to stop offering long term contracts worth millions and move to performance based pay. We may get relegated but we would have saved a fortune in paying out very little in wages which should suit Fosun. Fosun must shoulder the blame for a shocking summer more interested in selling than buying. Inept tactics and playing style or lack of must be the manager. Been to all the home games so far but won't be at the Everton game as I can't see who is going to turn things around on the pitch.

Few things seem to be happening and I'm struggling to work out why?
Mistakes - player are not good enough skill wise to play the system
Both City and Everton moved the ball quicker to create space to attack?
What is the system wolves are playing? passing back allows the opposition to organise and negates the space out wide.
Why does it seem the 3 centre halves seem to panic on the ball and put midfielders in trouble with poor balls when they are closed down and facing their own goal?
No-one on the pitch seems to be happy playing.

Because VP tried to turn us into possession based team and other managers have worked us out.
Let the back three have ball / our wingbacks push up.
Press the midfield and catch us with our pants down.
West Ham went to a back 4 today and kept a clean sheet.
VP should give it a go and if he doesn't I want him sacked personally.

Our play is so slow with the ball and players off the ball do not move enough to create space. Our players at the back then panic and hoof it to noone or goes to Sa who hoofs it to noone.
You see the players who just stand marked and then our defenders have noone open to pass to. Players need to move and pull players with them to create space for other players to move and receive the ball. You see a few attacking players try and run but it is pointless when they are 5ft5 against 6ft+ defenders.
Our defending is school boy stuff where we are getting beat by simple overlap runs.

De wolf was god; you are spot on with what you are saying. Its because we want the club to do well that comments are made about what's not right and how the club could be better run.

City were comfortable on the ball, stronger and willing to take on players, shoot and find space. They have paid big money to get player who can do that. Wolves have sold that type of player and are trying to put a team together on a small budget with low wages for the premier league. I thought the players tried but seemed to tire, maybe chasing the ball for too long or trying to keep a shape as they were being moved around. Overall I thought Larson hardly if at all held the ball up to bring midfielders into the game or take pressure off the defence as the ball kept coming back on them. Hoever's distribution was poor and for all the effort in midfield, no-one seemed creative or had that bit of quality to open up city. Lack of goals may be a real big issue this season.

Ain't going to be nice next home game if this is the performance level next weeks training is going to produce. Where are the goals going to come from? Tactically inept so its either the manager or players cannot perform at this level. This is absolutely relegation form; no imagination, few shots, passing across the park and backwards plus mistakes. Starting to lose some enthusiasm and belief that this set up and players can turn things around.

Thought Ranieri was the "Tinkerman" seems VP will be "Tinkerman 2" the way he he is chopping and changing the side. 5 games in; there needs to be a sign of improvement, yet we seem to have a weak spine. Conceding goals, getting opened up through the middle and few goals scored.

Look at the squad Nuno assembled, that Lage inherited and what has been purchased over the past 12 months. It feels like its the office manager not the team managers that have let the club down as its a slow decline in both quality and aspirations.
