With Jimenez being still out I wonder if Costa will make an appearance at any point during the game or will Lage not risk another injury until he's 100% up to speed, given what happened to Sasa?
Man City have several injuries as well but I can't help thinking it will be a tight game.
One of the best attacks in the Prem verses one of the best defences plus I can't see that we will offer much of a goal threat.

Not sure it's that simple St, Costa has been quite up front about the fact he needs time to get up to speed. He's not played since Jan so unless he's maintained an incredible regime which is unlikely given his age,as it would require crazy levels of discipline. I've said it before, I'd start Neto in the middle and bring Costa on for 10-30 mins at the end when their defence is more tired. We may need the points but let's be honest here our season can never be defined with how we do agaisnt City cause its just not realistic! No point risking another striker for a game he could score a hat trick in and still get out scored by Haaland alone! All I want is a good team effort, City can blow anyone away on their day so (for me) the risk of starting him would out weigh the likely reward. COYW ?

Bullysboy, I think Lage promised Costa he wouldn't be used until he felt ready, 2-3 weeks was mentioned.
As you imply its a long season so to put him on in a game we may lose anyway would be a risk not worth taking imo. I think he will be on the bench though to help him to get his head back into it.

I would love to see Traore back at his best for Wolves, but I believe he does not seem to be interested when he comes on. I cannot believe that the manager would not play him if he was at his best, there must be a reason that he is not playing, and I think he just does not want to be at Wolves.

Guedes, Neto and A Traore attacking.

Podence, Costa, Moutinho, Ait Nouri, Hwang options from the bench.

The pace of the front 3 will cause problems for Man Citys defenders. Costa to come on after 70mins to bruise the already tired defence.

A bit of a dream scenario but hope Lage agrees with me.
