If we accept that we currently don't seem to have a fully functioning striker/center forward Fabio should at least be seen as back up for that position.

I've always rated Fabio,he has great potential.To sell him would be an absolute tragedy.Have him back pre season,if he has the desire and commitment Lopettegi will recognise that and keep him.

If we can generate cash by selling Fabio (who doesn't want to be here if the reports are correct) and reinvest that cash in a player that does, then do the deal.
This is how we are currently operating.
If we make a loss, then we make a loss. There is no other impact. His purchase price has already been accounted for in the balance sheet of a previous year. His sale will count as income in this financial year.
If he doesn't want to be here then cut him free, I don't care how good he MAY be in the future.

It's the same old problem same with Guedes sign for big money and get their slice of it and big salary then say I don't want to be here. No good having players in the changing room who could be disruptive and a mood sucker. Only need players who want to be here like Dawson's Lemina etc, ok not the so called superstars but players who will give you full commitment.
