According to sky sports Wolves have made an offer of a loan with obligation to buy loan feex5 mill and 20 to 25 mill to buy. Just venture havecentered the race but a loan deal only with no obligation to buy now upto the player. If lens had there way he would go to Wolves but juventus have more pulling power.

Romano says the deal with Juventus is as good as done

Why didn't they try loan to buy last week for goodness sake before alerting everyone else in the football world.

Why do I keep thinking " Back the team or sell the club" has at this point not been grasped by the Chairman and Hobbs.

Maybe the loan wasn't an option. Maybe Lens were being too greedy when you consider not many teams have spent much money this window.
A £25m deal with £5m add ons is high in this window.
They now realise the clubs interested can't spend £25m up front.
For £4m loan wolves need to get this over the line. I know Juventus are a big club but premiership football etc against the best clubs.
Unless Danso wants to play for Juve.

The Danso situation has just been one big mess. We should have just gone in the first time with a good price to get the deal done. Instead we have 2 failed bids which then draws more attention from other clubs and we lose out. We spend so much time penny pinching and going back and fourth.

Here's the problem, and there is nothing Shi or Hobbs can do about it. The smaller club (Wolves) does all the hard work, thrashing out a deal and at the eleventh hour, when the deal has been accepted by all parties, in steps the bigger club (Juventus/Villa) offers the same deal and turns the players head. Takes a very special t type of person (joao Gomes) to turn down the bigger club!

Same as the lad who went to Benfica, it's pretty much Champions league guaranteed.

Wolfthistle hard to disagree.
What a shame that post Seville, when Villa were nowhere, 17th in the Prem, and we had just had 2 consecutive 7th place finishes, a fa cup semi and a Euro 1/4, the 2 clubs seemingly made conscious decisions to go in opposite directions.
Wolves seemingly and completely irrationally decided to become a very small team and Villa realising that being a big team - as Wolves were very very nearly at that moment - was far far better both financially and in football terms decided the opposite.
Who made the right decision?
Yet Jeff remains

So very true Tfig, and look where the man who took us to that level is now with little old forest just back in the prem.

Fosun go from wanting to break into the top 6 and European football to, if you want to win cups etc then Wolves isn't the club for you.

NO! if you as owners have no desire in winning, you do not belong at the club.

I'm still convinced they'll let us go down have a fire sale either way should we stay up then be off for whatever they can get Alex.
A football club in our current position cannot be run this way.

Just so disappointing to see our club do such a big U turn. Since the day they let Nuno go it has just been a shambles. We did go on a good run with Bruno Lage until he decided to change most the starting 11 when we played West Ham. We lost that game and it went down hill for him then.

I do hope they just sell the club either way.
