I haven't given up hope yet. As someone commented on this site it's not a sprint.Apart from the four goal mauling on opening day, all subsequent losses have been by one goal.

LindsayB three of Liverpools four wins have been by one goal also.
Fine margins.

That's the trouble, as you say, First the points. Four games and we havnt got any, and it may not be a print linhay but we're still waiting on the starting line whilst others are up and running ahead of us, and I can't see the 6 game winning streak to overhaul things this time.

A couple of years ago, Jo Lo came in and saved us. Then he jumped ship. Gary came in and saved us. Then he couldn't keep us going. VP came in and saved us, and now we're looking relegation fodder again, for the third time in recent years.

The 'new manager/coach bounce' has saved us three time in a row. It may be too soon to ask, but will we need a fourth saviour? That said, I think VP has what it takes, and we're losing by small margins, apart from that 4-0 against a very, very good City team who will beat almost everyone.

It's way too early to give up hope yet Lindsey, better wait until we've played some of the newly promoted sides because if we lose to them, then you can really worry.

We have players that are still getting to know their team mates Because most of the signings were late, we haven't yet gelled as a team.
I feel that the quality of players we have are better than several teams in the division and ultimately we'll be fine (just).

The recruitment team were new, tried to get several more players in but failed. Hopefully they will be more successful in the next window and we can bring in a couple of quality signings to make a difference.
Pretty sure that Fosun will do all they can to keep us in the prem, their business plan won't be including relegation. Let's hope they get it right.

The only thing is, Deep, Man City's only wins have come against relegation candidates and they have also managed to lose against a team who finished below us last season!

Old Wulf, I did say that City will beat ALMOST anyone. They lost to Brighton and a much-improved Spurs. So we shouldn't get too disappointed by our 4-0 loss, and remember, we had the ball in the net first that day, a very good move chalked off.

I was just having a bit of fun, Deep given that Man U are the only team they've beaten apart from us.

Well its all about taking your chances.we dont!.we could easily of gone infront v city.but for some poor defending and passing.from agbadou.who has continued that in ALL4games so far.lost to an early goal v bmouth.and cudnt even score1.poor defending v everton. gomez could and should have had a hatrick v newcastle.we NEED to put the chances away.simple as that.if we could possibly go1up I thinknwel be ok.but wer chasing every game.and never pkay with the urgency

Never play with the urgency needed.wen we need a goal.and when we need a goal we bring on munetsi and bellegarde AND still hav hwang on the pitch.so putting our faith in jsl is just hope!.it seems vp doesn't know his best first11 which doesn't help.but for me i'd keep sam in goal over sa.yet to see what arias n lopez bring.but we need a win and soon.obviously
